WiFi range issue - Essential Phone Questions & Answers

Recently I have reverted to stock Android 10 and my WiFi strength has weakened considerably. It was fine back when I was using custom ROM like SyberiaROM. Any help on this one?

I reverted to stock using this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/essential-phone/development/stock-7-1-1-nmj20d-t3701681/page141
Not sure if the flashall.bat also flashes the NOVENDOR zip

No no, why are you flashing Nougat??
You can get latest stock images from the Essential support website.
https://www.essential.com/developer/overview
By NOVENDOR I meant the images that update various partitions on the Essential phone, like modem for example.

First, you need to have stock MJ9 firmware. Then download the update.zip and place it in the root(base) folder of your external sd card. then shutdown the phone and unplug it. Display and everything should be black. Now were going into Recovery Mode. There are a bunch of videos on YouTube btw. Press first Volume Up and hold it, then home and while youre holding this, press the power button. release the power button when the phone goes on but still hold the 2 other buttons till its in recovery-mode. then select "apply update from external storage" and choose the update.zip. The rest should explain by itself.

he is just stating we dont need multiple threads with the same content.
also like faryaab stated earlier in my dump, the thread cannot have the "[Official firmware]" tag, what you have is a repacked dump and an ota update package.

[Q] Flash 5.1

Hello guys!
My Nexus 4 is running PA 5 Alpha 2, rooted and custom kernel of course.
I got the .zip file of the 5.1 OTA.
How should I flash it?
How did you flash PA in the first place? Just follow the same steps. You should flash it with a custom recovery e.g. TWRP.

You can't flash the ota in a custom recovery. You have to sideload it in the stock recovery. You have to be 100% stock system, kernel and recovery.

No, there's no new modem, hence many of the Bluetooth issues (such as interfering the 2.5Ghz wif band) are still present.

You need to use official Cyanogen recovery to flash stock images, you can flash back TWRP later if you want. But it will break automatic updating of OTAs in the future.

Go back to stock firmware and stock recovery, update to .184 or newer first, then flash MM .134 firmware.

If you can get to recovery, you might be able to use the stock recovery to get to bootloader. In the roms section there is a guide thread which has a link for a version of twrp that is working (Chinese version) rather than the TWRP (WIP) thread. That Chinese version of TWRP is working. You can use that and up twrp backup above to try and get yourself up and running until a full rom zip comes out from OnePlus?
Or if you dont want to use my backup, maybe use twrp to format data and see if that gets you booting? IF not then my back up, but remember each time you come out of twrp and boot system you loose twrp

I hve the best lol, after recover system/boot, my data partition in the OS (not TWRP) was unwritable, so i have lock Bootloader for try recover Stock Recovery and do a factory reset.... Now Bootloop!
So for now i must wait for install emergency/factory OxygenOS from OnePlus when available because i can do nothing. I miss Odin from Samsung, so useful for flash recovery/rom
