Hi.
Installed a few weeks ago the AllWinner unit from Umecity (Aliexpress) in my Nissan Pathfinder 2004. Looks and works great, no doubt at all (Unless the sound quality is a problem but I think it's because of my old speakers).
Everything is great except for one thing...the boot animation. I've put a lot of effort in making my home screen look clean and modern with Nova Launcher but at the moment of booting comes a very ugly Android logo animation that does not fit the style of the car at all (What I mean is that the design of this particular animation is ugly...not the android logo). I've been trying but I can't find a way to root it to change that boot animation (most of the videos I watch in YouTube show stereos equipped with menus in the settings that can access user things and extra settings but mine does not).
Have you guys got an idea of how to root it? The following list is taken from the Hardware Info App

There is a way over on 4pda.ru i used translate and found a zip file which you copy to sd card and unit opens update options click next and wait. i found roms and stuff but there are 3 versions of allwinner HUs do translate and take your time reading them.

i got this android head unit now for a bit more than a year and since then i´m not very happy with it.
i cant really change the style, the "main screen" got a big ass ugly clock and if i change my hotkey apps in the lower bar, they dont stay there after turning off my car.
this are my main issuse with this head unit.
is this a problem with my device in general or is it a problem with the android rom?
and if it is so, can i change it easy and wich rom should i flash?

Hello,
After a factory reset of my HU nothing work anymore ! radio and music player don't open, i lost igo gps app, no more sounds (ANY sound and i can't turn up the volume even in the notification bar, it stay as mute), when i change settings in the hidden menu (3 click on kernel version and os version) nothing is saved and many other things like that...
i don't find any rom, kernel, mcu, or img recovery that fit my need in order to recover my precious HU...

Perhaps you could try in the engineering menu and from there reset with the basic settings

So my biggest goal is to get rid of ads in Youtube. I tried Lucky Patcher but it requieres Root access. So I googled a bit and found out about Kingroot and installed it. After installation rooting my device failed. I also tried a how-to from this forum LINK but when I open 1. Disable DM-Verity.bat and enter my IP it always says "Disable DM-Verity...error: device '(null)' not found". I don't know what to do here.
Further I want to get the latest update on this HU. After I install it in my car I don't want to take it out anymore to experiment. What I need to download? I saw here some CFW but I don't know yet if they fit my device. Is there any recommended firmware I can put on this HU?
I do some research in the meantime to aquire more knowledge but this first questions would help me very much. Thank you very much for taking some time <3
I'm having an audio problem in the version of my Android HU, I need to change to a current one or downgrade (to 8.1).
I didn't find any firmware in version 2 gb, I tried to install the versions of 1 gb and it causes error

I am having the same stereo.
The model details are almost the same as you mentioned for my android stereo.
The issue with my stereo is when I do a factory reset, the system gets hung after showing the "Erasing" android icon and a dead android icon with a Blue exclamation is displayed,
Any fix for this ?

Yesterday i have purchased a new Android head unit. I want to take a full Backup of it's unrooted stock ROM with stock recovery. So that in case i ever brick it i will be able to flash it to factory state easily. Can someone please direct me to the link or procedure of how to make a full system Backup.

I have these problems.
1. Am not able to update Agama launcher. I already have licensed copy but it's not shown in Play Store.
2. Radio app only has FM option. I can't find AM in radio.
3. Whenever radio app and navigation app run together. The volume of radio is higher and navigation instructions play in background at lower volume. I can't understand the voice guidance. Navigation app couldn't silence radio app.
4. Split screen option is not working. To play two apps side by side.
5. When I try to install Google assistant from play store I get a message saying my device is not supported. I couldn't install and use Google assistant and Android AUTO.
Any help will be welcome. My ROM is stock ROM.

Have you are observed overheating of touch panel of your car stereo or hangs in your Android car stereo or system not responding or application keep crashing etc.
Then this video is for you. I have done this small modification in my car.
I made a small hole on sides of AC vents such that cool air blows over the heat sink of Android car stereo and two cpu fans of 12V take power supply from same connector.
Whenever the car stereo is turned ON the fans also turn ON and blow cool air over the heat sink to keep it cool.

Bajwa ji it appears the password is Google password not unit lockscreen password.
Please try your Google account password that you may have set to protect that unit.
It is ac8227l yt9216b unit 16gb ROM version.
If that fits not work then apko factory reset karna padega. But all data will be lost forever.

Sir i could not recall password for that account. Further how to perform factory reset? bcoz screen is locked. So should i go for installation of new software. if so then plz guide how to install it...
Try to connect the unit to your computer or laptop. If somehow you can connect the unit to adb mode then factory reset can be done from recovery mode.
