Dear all devs, as its been very struggling during any test on nokia 6, one wrong OTA tooks us to let us install june updated mena firmware, everything is fine, even after installing it shows that the nokia 6 is with TA-1021 but when i saw with the help of buildprop editor, it shows that our phone becomes TA-1025, and thus have to update manually every patch, but still no luck for OREO OTA, still stucked on it, even manually it gives error and then there is no recovery option too, please help us, it becomes the major problem now, the OTA server get confused over as TA-1021 as externally and TA-1025 and thus it wont provide any update and we stucked on our current Build.
Please provide any official TA-1021 firmware so we can be up to date with our phone with official updates
also make some custom rom too, as its been very long time, customs roms are debloated and hence a 10 times more faster and functional then official rom.
There won't be 1021 frimware version very soon,i'm now in the same situation as you.
i m looking too for ta1021 official nougat firmware, all link in xda and 4pda are for ta1025.
please anyone help us to find the official firmware for ta1021.
The absolute legend sltushar, the OP, showed me how to flash official firmware for the TA-1021
The guide he gave me can be found here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6/help/compatible-firmware-t3783503 in case you haven't found it yet.
Good luck, and happy flashing!
We need firmware for TA-1021 with extension .nb0
Hi! Use this
https://www.firmwarefile.com/nokia-6-ta-1021
The one you gave the link is for box user, the infinity box CM2 Qualcomm version, and it cost arround $70
Hi, i am not sure which for which version but i found this ftp link, where there are several Nokia 6 firmware. experts also take a look , may be make a new permanent thread for firmwares.
http://dl.infinity-best.com/download/index.php?dir=flashfiles/Nokia-6/
please check the link.
MENA Firmware is enough for now, because you will get Android Oreo OTA soon as you check for updates (after fresh install of firmware MENA),with will change your phone back to original state,if was TA-1021 it will be TA-1021 .
I have this version of the phone with stuck update 7 November 2017 nougat 7.1.1 I want to upgrade oreo. Any help or instructions?!
Better ask here https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-6-2018
I am curious about these issues, my question is the following when I unlock my Bootloader I can do an update via OTA when it arrives on my device? Or is my phone going to have Hard Brick?
I want to give a Downgrande on my smartphone but it is still in stock without any modification. And through the tutorials I read ask for the unlock Bootloader. My intention is to only downgrade. A friend of mine gave the following idea: "unlock the bootloader to then downgrade and after it has been successfully done." I search how to lock the bootloader again using CMD to put a system with the bootloader locked and so in the future I will be able to receive updates via Ota. " Does This Worker Ideas In Practice?
This my Frist Post here If I make a mistake, tell me, we will not repeat.:fingers-crossed:
When it comes to being able to receive updates when bl is unlocked, that's a yes, it will work fine and won't affect your phone's functionality.
On the other hand downgrading is generally a bad idea. The problem is, when you update your phone your bootloader also gets an update. All parts of the OS except for the bootloader can be downgraded to a previous version, and if you do that, the downgraded OS can function normally on the newer bootloader.
Now comes the tricky part. If you try to do an OTA on a downgraded OS with a new bootloader, the OTA will treat the bootloader as if it were the old one, and will overwrite parts of it that it shouldn't, which will corrupt it. And there you have a pricey paperweight.
The only way of updating a downgraded device is to flash it clean with a newer version (or the version same as the bootloader).
Now what is the reason you'd want to downgrade?
After Unlocked Bootloader You Can't Get OTA Updated Even You Relock Bootloader ., tested On Moto G5s
Model X1795
However During try to Relock or downgrade Oreo 8.1 to 7.1.1 You May Get Complete Dead Your Phone as my phone goes During downgrade .

My bootloader is unlocked.
I wanted to upgrade to the latest firmware and because I was rooted I flashed the firmware I was on at that moment (no down - or upgrade) again and after that I was able to apply and install every single OTA up to the latest. I could have flashed the latest Oreo firmware directly too but I wanted to test this way and to update by flashing latest firmware would have been possible after that too.
So updating via OTA with an unlocked bootloader was no problem for me.
In the end you get the unlock code from Motorola itself and it would be kind of strange if they won't deliver updates anymore for a feature they provide for their devices.

This is a thread for potter (Moto G5+) so your question most probably won't be answered here.

I am planning on to unlock bootloader only will I continue recieving official updates from Samsung and able to install them (not flashing that, OTA ones). I am not going to install custom recovery or kernel or even custom rom. Will it work that way?
Please share link or backup of NPN25.137-35 Stock Nougat For Moto G5 Plus...

A word of caution - if you use really old builds like this, do not upgrade to Oreo. Upgrade to the latest versions of Nougat first, then Oreo. Failure to do that will result in a loss of touch screen.
