Hi guys,
I was hoping someone here could help me with my issue on my S7 Edge SM-G935F.
After replacing the LCD + frame combo (meaning I transferred motherboard, camera, battery, etc. to the new frame), I've been having issues with the touchscreen where fast typing on the keyboard would cause ghost taps
If I were to repeatedly press Q on the keyboard with one thumb and p with my other thumb, the device would think that the tap was somewhere in the middle say letter t or y. Sometimes it would jump all over the place.
To better explain the problem, I've attached a couple of GIFs:
This one when typing on the keyboard

A bit of history about my phone, when I purchased it, the model was originally SM-G935FD.
After replacing the battery, it got water damaged since it lost its water resistance. I then had to replace the motherboard (SM-G935F) and everything was fine for some time until pink lines appeared on the screen.
I then decided to replace the LCD which came with the frame and this is when the issue started to happen.
I hope someone here can help, I'd really appreciate it!
Cheers!

..jittery screen
hey, it looks like your MDA is in the same shape as mine, I wore off the hard buttons similar to yours, which tells me you've had it for a while. Mike was about a year and a half old before I started experiencing issues like that.
I have had a ton of experience with handhelds over the last few years, specifically the HP ipaq line. They were subject to a similar issue where the screen controller connection became degraded causing intermittant video display. It is likely that pressing the aluminum frame above the directional pad will stop the jitter, which is a very short term fix.
Your options would be to disassemble the screen and try to remedy the connection, or simply invest in a new phone. My slider had broke on one side anyways, so I took the opportunity to buy a new (probably refurb) MDA off ebay. I just got it up and running and cant be more happy!!
Hope this helps.
Cause & Possible Fixes for Whitescreen + D-Pad failures (another new thing to try)
Hi guys, i am having a problem of dead whitescreen and d-pad failures in my imate jasjam. i searched this forum and come across the following article.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=321163&highlight=white
i tried this solution twice, but it is not a permanent one and that problem comes again after some time. Recently, i come to another conclusion that is the LCD connector located on the left of the d-pad connector.
I just cleaned the lcd connector after applying a little amount of thinner, test it for approximately an hour and then reassemble my set. And from last 3 to 4 weeks, it is working fine and good without any problem.
It is my experiment, try it and give me comments if it doesn't fits in your case.

The LCD connector about which i have mentioned in my first post can be seen in the pic below marked with circle.

The band is easily visible. It explains my problem. The rest of the touchscreen works fine.
Only noticed over the past week or so that typing on the keyboard in certain spots while in landscape causes two keys to always be hit instead of one.
I remember reading a thread earlier were people had many problems with the touchscreen. Should I ask the warranty service for an s4 or 2013 moto x instead? I don't want this happening again.
Edit:
Them seems to explain it PERFECTLY:

I've had this issue happen to two LG G2s, if you look at the dead band it seems to line up perfectly with the power button on the back of the phone. It seems to me that pressing the power button is putting force on the digitizer from the back and 'killing' that section of the touchscreen. I've swapped the entire internals of a phone to a new digitizer that did not exhibit the issues so I don't see how it could be software related.

I'm not getting another G2.
My Tab A 9.7 has lines/flickering through about 75% of the screen (closest to the home button). The screen is still usable (though barely at times) and fully responsive to touch. I've seen some reports of a loose connection internally, but nobody seems to have the same issue as I do. Some pictures are below:

Any idea if this is repairable/what the fix would be?
Hello
First of all, if you did drop it from a considerable hight it ma be a loose connector, if not, did you flash something and after that the screen started making this lines ?
Your best move will be checking your warranty, if it doesn't apply to your tab any more, try opening it and checking for any loose connectors, mainly the screen ribbon, before that try to look for a teardown instructions for the tab, sometimes they put the cables in places where it's easy to damage if you open the device without any knowledge of how to do it safely.
I had a similar problem on a samsung phone and in my case the screen was faulty, it shows flickering bright lines just like your tab. Replacing the screen fixed the issue.
Good luck
If you broke or dropped the device, then that might be the problem. If not, then it's probably because of the firmware.
If you have not broke or dropped the device, then go to Updato.com and press OS Updates and then type in your device model and it should take about 5 minutes or more to download.
Hope I helped.

Most likely Hardware issue. Could be a loose connector, but probably more.
Is it still under warranty?

yes under guarantee but guy want sell it cheap so probably problem is with screen and its not under guarantee.. phone is cracked backside.
thanks for reply
If it's cracked on the back side, and the issues stated, there is most likely Hardware damage.
With the random freezes on top of the screen issues, there might be more wrong than just the screen.
I'm not sure what "under guarantee" means. Or more to the point, what it means to the seller. Was the case cracked before you bought it?
Ultimately, I would attempt to reach out to the seller and see what, if anything, they are willing to do for you.
But, if the case cracking happened after you purchased it, than most likely they won't do too much. Samsung itself won't fix one of their devices under warranty if it shows signs of abuse (intentional or by accident).
