Stock ROM? - Asus ZenFone Max Pro M1 Questions & Answers

Is there a download for the official stock ROM (WW or european), so that I can restore my phone to the factory OS? Or a recent guide I can follow?
I saw this older guide but many comments say it doesn't work anymore: https://forum.xda-developers.com/as...ow-to/guide-revert-to-stock-rom-lock-t3798420

TWRP method
Hi I used this link to restore via TWRP

How To Flash A Custom Rom from Stock? {SGS 4 4g i19506}

Hello, I am new to this rooting and flashing stuff on the Samsung Galaxy s4 4G, and i just wanted to know how i can flash a 5.X.X custom rom from the stock 4.4.2 rom from the very beginning.
It would be nice if someone could post a link to a tutorial or something i can follow to flash my phone.
I have read some of the guides but i cannot understand what to do as the instructions seem to advanced.
Thank you
First you need a custom recovery. I recommend TWRP. Just google TWRP S4 and it will take you to the S4 section. There you have the download link and some install instructions. I recommend using the Odin method.
Then you need Odin. Odin 3.09 or 3.10 works. Sorry I cannot post links, I'm on mobile and it's pretty tricky getting everything together.
Flashing a custom recovery or rom is pretty much the same for all S4 models (with a few exceptions).
Installing the recovery is the most difficult part if you're a beginner. Installing the custom rom is as simple as selecting it and confirming the procedure.
Can i install TRWP recovery without rooting my phone?
Currently i have updated to the stock 5.0.1 rom and am trying to root my phone to install the custom recovery.
TWRP 2.8.6.0 is available as a tar file flashable through Odin without rooting. From there, upgrade to 2.8.7.0.
So is root required to flash a custom rom? Or can i just flash a TWRP recovery then flash the custom rom from there?
Thank you
Edit: Thank you for your help i have figured it out

Any procedure to downgrade to 5.1.1 stock from 6.0?

I know there is a process to go back to Lollipop from Marshmallow. But I don't know the exact steps to follow. Can anybody post here a step by step tutorial so that if somebody wants to revert back or maybe, having some issue with Marshmallow, can do so safely and securely?
Yes flash a stock image.
There is a detailed process given on the link.
www_droidviews_com/restore-moto-x-play-to-stock-lollipop-firmware/
Replace underscore (_) with dot (.)
I m new so not allowed to post direct link. I just found that while googling, so if link doesn't work for some reason. Just Google it.
Thanks for your help. But that method has already been posted in this forum itself and it is for those who have flashed some CM based rom after rooting their devices.I am in search of a detailed tutorial for downgrading to stock Lollipop from Marshmallow.
Its the same.
Flash Stock via fastboot or RSDlite
this is my story wanting to stay in SuperSU install screen warningbootloader I do this to return from 6.0 to 5.1.1

Oneplus TWO A2003: convert OxygenOS 3 Beta to HydrogenOS (ALL STOCK)

Hi guys,
my Oneplus TWO is totally stock (no ROOT, nor Recovery, locked bootloader).
I just want to ask how could I "convert" it to original HydrogenOS, with working OTA feature.
Is there any procedure to follow? Is it possible or I need to unlock IT and flash a custom HydrogenOS firmware?
Edit:
Fist unlock the booloader, easy step.
Download specific OxygenOS 3.0 TWPR and SuperSU available here:
- [ROM][OTA][Oxygen OS] Mirrors for official Oxygen OS ROMs and OTA updates
Install Recovery and SuperSU.
So now you are able to flash any firmware.

Thanks for your reply.
So, I just need to unlock my phone, install TWRP compatible with MM (link) and follow instruction for HydrogenOS.
But, as I understood, OTA is not available.

If you don't flash the Debloater+SuperSU zip you may get OTAs but you won't have root and you'll have a pile of Chinese apps.
I don't really get why OTA updates are so important anyway.

If you are in H2OS and that there is an update you will need to flash the full rom(if you are root) it's recommended to clean flash if you flash a full rom but you can use titanium backup otherwise i think dirty flash full rom will be fine
Hi, mission completed!
I've unlocked bootloader.
I used specific OxygenOS 3.0 TWPR and SuperSU available here:

So I was able to flash HydrogenOS!
Thanks guys.

You can use the modded stock rom and flash it from TWRP --------> Modded Lollipop 40.60 Stock Rom (Google Drive Link)
and flash the stock kernel through fastboot before you update to build 40.87 --------> Stock Kernel (note - this will remove the TWRP recoveries, After update you can flash TWRP recoveries back)
Otherwise, you can use this tutorial If you doesn't want to download the files. ( I recommend you to just download the flashable stock rom )
Or you can download and flash any custom stock rom (I prefer cleanstock rom, not to much bloatware)
Good luck
