Try using a root explorer and go into your device and change your otacerts.zip to otacerts.bak, this file is found in the device etc security. This tricks the update into thinking you have the latest and it wont update.
Edit:
Here is a step by step guide (please give props to @chzeckmate)
1. First be sure you have superuser access (root access). You can use a root checker like this one to be sure
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ootcheck&hl=en
2. Download and install ES File explorer. You can get that here...
https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...roid.pop&hl=en
3. Open ES File explorer and grant root permission. Go into settings and set your preferences
4. Tap your device menu
5. Tap Tools
6. Tap root explorer.
7. The root explorer menu will pop up and you'll tap Mount R/W
8. Fill in all the bubbles for RW and tap OK
9. Navigate to the root of your device (At the Top you'll see the root directory is listed as "Device" or "/")
10. Tap the File named "etc"
11. Tap the File named "security"
12. Long press on the otacerts.zip until the check box appears and put a check in it.
13. Tap more
14. Tap properties
15. Place check marks in the read and write boxes and Tap ok
16. Tap rename (on the bottom action bar)
17. Rename the otacerts.zip file to otacerts.bak and tap ok
18. Tap refresh (bottom action bar)
19. Pull down the notification curtain and accept the update. *Some devices reboot here. (if the notice isn't in your notification bar just go on to the next step)
20. On your homescreen open your device menu and Tap system settings.
21. Scroll to and select System update.
22. Tap Update firmware.

Works on LB?
Yeah works on locked bootloader, did it yesterday, just be warned that it doesn't work properly if you have encrypted your phone as twrp can't access system. Had to backup and factory reset my phone to remove encryption.
Works fine guys! No problems here. (locked bootloader)
Thanks

Someone says using this way to root you won't have the battery drain issue as you flash a pre-rooted zip. Who can tell me whether it's true?

İ think its not important kingroot not save the imei's. And this method we disable and delete all kingroot apps we need it only install recovery. Then we can use standart supersu access.

Note1: All commands are sent from "C:\Program Files (x86)\yotaphone_flasher"

23. go to /system/app
24. Find Books click on it. Now you see apk file for built-in "Google Play Books application"

I have small comment:
Step 2 - It's better change Original yotaphone flasher on YotaFlasherReworked.zip - it's from that theme.

Nice tutorial but unfortunately "erase system" isn't working for me. I am on windows and I'm also giving a space as well before hitting enter. It does shoes my phone's serial number which means its connected properly. Any solution to this problem, thanks in advance, cheers.
No fast charging on these roms, I don't even know how we can use them every day
Not all GSIs have this function and even when we manage to add it (by flashing Lineage OS19 which has it), we manage to display the fast charge and even the charging power in real time, we do display a charge fast, but loads horribly slow ^^'
In short, go your way for all PixelExperience / GSI roms
I am desperately looking for a Pixel/AOSP based rom on this model, nothing to do, none of these roms work properly
Lineage has a rotten network, PixelExperience/CrDroid GSI have no fast charging, nothing helps, impossible to use it like that
Not to mention the cameras that are unusable under AOSP/Pixel (and don't talk to me about the compatible Gcam variants, because they absolutely don't work (yes, if 2 out of 5 cameras don't work, for me the application is not usable )
In short, if you want a Pixel rom, buy a Xiaomi
Ok its installed eventually... lolz, nice rom I'm loving it, in my limited use till now everything seems to be working fine and its blazing fast, thanks for the tutorial, will report back with some more feedback soon, cheers
New link please
