So my son wanted to use my Tab for school, so i factory reset, now an encryption from sony mobile comes up when i restart it. It directs me to log in to sonymobile.com with my google account. When i do this it just says invalid password..
Is there any way around the encryption?
I cant seem to get to the boot menu either
Any help greatly appreciated
Go to sonymobile.com web page on another computer and reset the password, even if you are sure that you know the correct one.
Then try again.
Please report back if you succeeded to reset the tablet.
It uses my Google account to sign in, i changed my password and still saying incorrect

Hi,
I get stuck with this one. I dont know how to fix it anyway, I tried with many ways but no successful.
1. It always show demo video after 30 secs, I tried to turn it off but I dont know how. Tried with hard reset but not succesful, I still got this issue. Some says its demo mode, how to disabled it?
2. My phone shows demo content, I tried to delete all these contents. Reset phone + hardreset but still show these demo contents.
3. No way to add live account, it always show email [email protected], I cant connect to marketplace. I was add account, but after that, it shows demo account, not what I entered. I tried with reset + hardreset but no successful. Add other account types are ok. But I wont connect to marketplace without live account.
- I still add sim and call, sms, connect wifi, connect with PC ok. But these above errors make me crazy, HOW TO FIX IT??? I cant get upgrade on zune, it shows error on zune & there is no update for this phone. Is there any way to help me.
Thank you

i flashed mine with telus and everything is going great!

After following a process elsewhere on XDA to set up a pin lock, (here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1848962&highlight=lock) I've been locked out of my device, with the response Too Many Pattern Attempts.
It says: "to unlock, sign in with your Google account." But I do that, and receive an invalid login response. (This is without active wi-fi, which I can't access for the settings!) I'm not certain that it's trying to connect online, but that's my only explanation for why my google credentials aren't working.
I was hoping I could use ADB to reset the PIN again, but ADB doesn't appear to recognize the Nook; maybe it's not opening up the device to USB until it gets unlocked. And ADB Wireless is something I can't even access until I get past this!
I'm currently on the road so I can't go back to my home wi-fi... and I'm not even sure that the nook would connect to the home wi-fi anyway.
At the very least, I'd love to find out how to boot it in recovery mode, maybe re-install and re-root everything. I've seen a few posts online about rebooting in recovery mode, but nothing consistent.
Any suggestions?
Call me stupid, but I'm really desperate and begging for help! I used the Android Device Manager on my Tab 3 8.0 to remotely lock my phone. So it worked. But when I used the password to unlock the phone that was set earlier on ADM, my phone keeps saying that it is the wrong password.
Fair enough, I actually used my home PC to do the exact same thing. I went to the ADM site and set alphanumeric and numerals only password and still, WRONG PASSWORD!
What can I do?! I restart the phone and then nothing worked!
Hello siva992, put it back into the two new password in the computer I use only four digits, not failed. Remember to use new numbers, not the same as you have before. Good luck.
You should contact them for help as if it's not notes fail.
If no other ways then you have to do a reflash with Odin.

i too had locked my nubia device through android device manager.
it can be bypassed by rebooting into recovery mode and you need to format /data and /cache.
after this restart your phone through recovery mode it may take 5 to 10 minutes to finally show "android is updating your apps " something like this.
this method worked on my nubia mini and i thing technically it might work on every android phone that is capable of booting into recovery mode.
this method would not delete your photos, music, etc.
only contacts and app data will be gone,i am sure that won't be an issue.
I tried using the FRP removal from xboxexpert, and i get through it, but i cant boot into the maintenance menu, it'll just keep rebooting once i let go the phone boots up. While this happens the computer doesn't recogonize my phone, but once it boots up it recognizes it. My sister forgot her password since she used a fake email.. and since she got the S8 i want to keep this. its not the gmail account, but the samsung account.

I just made a thread how to pass FRP using bluetooth. you don't even need to connect your phone to your computer.
I've never messed with a phone before and much of the jargon is new to me, so bear with me. I am in possession of a J5 that was issued by an employer who I am no longer with and would like to see if I can use it as a secondary phone or perhaps even replace my current one, but to do this I want to factory reset it first. It has AirWatch installed and has many settings and apps inaccessible, it is extremely restricted. I have looked around on the internet and most options for factory resetting that I have came across so far involve settings being activated that I can't access, so I was wondering if anyone has any input as to what options I could try.
These are some issues I have with reset methods I have read about so far:
Upon trying a factory reset, I get the "MDM does not allow factory reset".
"Safe mode" seems to be disabled.
The google account on it was not made by me and I don't have any password for it.
No unenroll option available in Airwatch.
Can't enable automatic factory reset, it's greyed out.
A method I read about here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/solution-to-mdm-allow-factoryreset-t3327319 involves getting to the encryption settings, which I can't.
MTP USB device fails when plugged in to windows.
SmartSwitch won't connect, it just sits at the "Welcome" screen asking me to connect my device.
Odin requires USB debugging to be enabled, which I can't access from the settings menu.
Any ideas, or is it just basically a brick?
