try sideloading related apks
Does anyone know what apks are required? No other modifications are necessary?
There is an app called The peoples edge on google play its exactly like the edge panel its like 1.99 on play store but totally worth it, it works well and its regularly updated, plus you can try before you buy and its inexpensive. No root Required.

How Do I Remove Icons From Disabled Apps

I have disabled many of the built in apps from my S4 but the following ones are still in my App drawer although they are disabled.
S Planner
Music
Optical Reader
Help
Voice Recorder
Calculator
Samsung Hub
Voice Search
Kids Mode
Can I get rid of these icons?
Rob
Do they work if you want to open them? If so, they are not disabled.
They should disappear after a restart of the launcher.
Otherwise, just hide them.
Yes they still work, although disabled is selected and greyed out. Is there no way to properly disable these or remove them?
Rob
Yes there is a way. You can root your device easily with help on this forum or another thread (search for: how to root device Samsung galaxy s4 i guess? , so you can uninstall the bloatware apps with the app Root Uninstaller from the Playstore. If you are not familiar with this way to remove system Google Apps, than don't try it. It can mess up your Device very bad. But it's worth a try. Just learn and follow the instructions very good with a little help. That's all i can say from my experience which is very positive:good:

A grayed out "disable" means it cannot be disabled.
If an app was disabled, the "disable" option gets replaced by "enable".
Disabled apps aren't supposed to work either, so obviously your apps weren't disabled.

Strange blue frames everywhere ?

Well hello everyone, I have one software problem from quite a while, but I cant stand it anymore. One day, I was playing with accessibility services in my phone and turned something, don't remember exactly what, so blue frames showed almost everywhere - around in-app ads frames, inside chrome tab content, when making changes to home screen, etc. You can see in the attached pics. I disabled everything unknown for me in accessibility settings, even did factory reset, but I guess this setting is synced over Google Profile, because it came again short after factory reset.. Can someone please tell me how to get rid of that thing ? I curse the day I messed up with that accessibility setting.
S7 Edge, Latest available Android version, no root, etc. Knox 0x0
May be something in accessibility. Please check accessibility settings.

Samsung Cloud On Verizon Device?

I was wondering if anyone was able to get Samsung Cloud to work instead of the preloaded verizon cloud. The old trick that I used to do on the S8+ was to install the apk and then use Quick Shortcut Maker app from the playstore to open it. That doesn't seem to work this time around, any ideas? Also had the same question regarding the inbuilt caller ID which verizon replaced with their own, if anyone has messed with it at all.
P.S.- Not trying to flash the unlocked firmware either as that will probably screw with with VoLTE and Wifi Calling
Quick Shortcut Maker still works to access Samsung Cloud on Verizon models as I've been able to do it that way. I also flashed the unlocked version of the firmware and have VoLTE and WiFi calling. Only thing I lost is VVM and video calling which I don't use anyways.

Sure, you can either download SamFirm and let it download it for you or go here:

In the OP there is a portion called U1 Unbranded Firmware hosted on AFH.
Easiest thing to do is use Nova launcher. From your home screen, hold to add a widget. Find Nova launcher in the list of widgets and select the Nova activities widget, scroll down to "Samsung account storage" and select the drop-down. From there scroll down to "Samsung Cloud.app.ui.SCloudActivity" and select it. From there you can open it up and there is an option in the settings to add it to your app screen.
Screenshots attached for reference. I have Verizon and it worked for me.

Hey thanks, I looked for the string "Samsung Cloud.app.ui.SCloudActivity" in QuickShortcutMaker and added it through there instead, works perfectly.

If you are using unlocked firmware than Samsung cloud isn't a problem. It might need to be installed or updated but no shortcutmaker needed. It's the Verizon firmware that wont let it work.
Sorry to resurrect the dead with this one, but has anyone found a solution yet? I have the Samsung cloud app but it says that it isn't compatible with my device. I have a z flip 4. Originally on T-mobile, then I moved it to Verizon and had to do a warranty exchange.
