Hey a friend of mine has a S8 and its stuck on a Bootloop.
It also won't launch into Recovery Mode but the Download mode works but my PC cant find the Phone.
I installed the Samsung USB drivers,it's the Original cable, switch'd ports.
Anything else i can do to fix the phone?

I'm able to get into download mode but the computer doesn't recognize it at all.. I've tried all ports and 3 different USB cords. I have no recovery so download mode is my only option. When I attempt to boot into recovery, I get a "[Phone]...!...[Computer]" logo.
When connecting my lg g2 to pc nothing happends my pc doesn't recognize my phone neither
Hey!
New to XDA but a complete fan of the help and guides you guys provide.
So, I acquired an i9060 smartphone and successfully installed CM 11 without the help of my laptop since the usb cable through Odin never worked for me (driver issues on Win10?).
Unfortunately, my phone entered an Android boot loop. And now with a lot of attempt I can't even enter CWM or even charge my smart phone, as it always reboots while trying to charge the battery (it's always drained) or gets stuck during logo before accessing CWM.
I tried to install Samsung drivers, Kies, ABD, Odin to restore the firmware but... nothing seems to recognise this Samsung device. Does anyone had the same problems I'm having now? Any suggestions?
You might try another USB cable, USB port, or even another computer. Without Odin, you're not going to be able to fix this since recovery is no longer available.

Tried on 3 laptops but the problem persists. Never thought of changing my usb cable though. I'll give it a shot
Btw, is there anyway to use an external SD card to force a factory reset?

Have you considered the possibility that your power button is sticking? Not the part that you touch but the hardware switch behind it?
Do you have USB debugging enabled?
Are you using the stock cable or at least a USB cable with the same number of pins/pinouts?
today i made a very stupid mistake while i tried to root my S7 edge.
I put the phone to Download mode and installed twrp-3.0.2-4-hero2lte.img through Odin FIRST,
before installing CF-Auto-Root-hero2lte-hero2ltexx-smg935f.tar
It was a really careless mistake, really stupid..
what happens now is that the twrp is not installed (cant load into the twrp recovery). and it is stucked at the samsung s7 edge screen.
the phone can still boot into Download mode, but my computer cannot detect the device anymore.
it only recognises the phone as "unknown usb device (device descriptor request failed)"
- i tried with 3 computers (all running windows 10), 3 different cables, all wont work.
- battery has been fully dead and then re-powered on
can anyone help me with this please? i will donate to your paypal if you can help me fix this problem............
Have you tried to switch the cable / usb port and use the emergency recovery on the Smart Switch software?

yeah I have tried all that and nothing works
Model Number: SM-G955FD
I Think i bricked the phone when i installed a TWRP update by flashing the twrp file as an .img file after renaming removing the .tar extension from the file. Currently im stuck in a bootloop where i the device shows up as an unrecognized device in windows when im in download mode. When Booting up i get red Text saying " Could not do normal boot. Invalid Kernel Length"
For those who would say: "Install USB drivers" --> The usb drivers have nothing wrong with them, i tried out another similar phone ( SM-G955FD ) and it works, i flashed stock, flashed TWRP, no problem with that other phone. But when i Insert the bricked phone with it on Download mode, all i get is that its an unrecognized device, device descriptor failed. (This is ever since a long time ago, Even OTG doesnt work somehow, but the device charges fine, and when i use my external SSD with a USB C to USB C wire it shows up).
For now What i have done is:-
I Tried to boot into Recovery -> Doesnt work, its stuck in a bootloop (I think its because i flashed the TWRP file as . img into the recovery Partition).
Booted into Download Mode -> It works
I Opened up the Phone and swapped out the Motherboard with another one from an S8+ with a semi functional Screen. Download mode works, phone works fine, nothing wrong with it, board is just old and i would prefer to fix the other one
What works:-
Download Mode
the USB port has nothing wrong with it. i Swapped in another USB board from a similar phone which shows up in odin and it still would show up.
What doesnt work:-
Recovery mode Doesnt work.
I believe its a Kernel/Software issue. Share your thoughts on this.
For now, i am running the phone on an older board from a phone with the same Model Number SM-G955FD with the Original Parts except the Motherboard. Even though i am somehow fine, i do not want the other board go to waste.

Hello,
I'm posting to XDA Developers today because I'd appreciate to get some assistance with a Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) device.
A few weeks ago, a custom rom had been flashed but it unfortunately failed for some reason and now the device is stuck on a bootloop (Stuck on the Samsung logo), and it seems that it doesn't have any IMEI anymore (Field empty).
However, I can still access TWRP and the Download Mode.
The problem here, is that my device is not detected by the computer. When I put the device on Download Mode and connect it, Odin doesn't show it (Which would mean that the device isn't detected by the computer).
Also, when I put my device in sideload mode (With TWRP), it isn't recognized as well.
I've tried to reinstall the drivers but nothing worked.
Thank you all in advance for all your help,
Have a nice day.
