Hello, is this happened to everyone else? It just drained down to zero in just one night, any fix?
is This happened to you after charging your phone? This happened to me once, I was charging my phone and after reach 100% I unplugged this was on the night, 6 hours later in the morning I noticed battery was 4% this means 96% was eaten on that 6 hours. I was on a rush, so rebooted the phone and plugged to the charger again. Like I said this happened once. I'm not sure if some app/google service/service keep my phone woken all that 6 hours.
It happened to me also. Same as above comment

Same for me too, but my phone was fully drained.. Maybe a software update will fix it.
Happened to me before debloating my phone and while keeping the phone under a pillow.
Maybe a clash with the feature for detecting if you're using the phone to show the fingerprint icon on screen? I disabled that too now.
Happened to ne yesterday. Weird. Eea stable 10.3.12
it's pretty crazy. it happened to me 2 times. battery drains is insane, about 15mins I lost 8 to 15 percent!!!
first time I did everything I could to stop it but no luck, I decided to do a factory reset and it was fine for two weeks. the second time started yesterday, I even tried gsam battery and enabled the more stats using adb. all it could find were consuming the battery are :
1- kernel android os
2- system adsprpcd
I've tried these still no luck.
1- clear data :
play store
play services
google
2- disable dual sim 4g - note: I use one sim.
3- disabled all the apps in permissions>start in background
4- uninstalled about every apps I've installed
In my case I struggling with Google Play Services eating up my battery, I tried everything (xiaomi.eu rom, full restore, clear cache of Play Services etc...)
The issue it's still present even with updating the app with the newest versions. You could check you consumption to see what's using your battery

Not very healthy habit btw, better not to have the phone so close to your head all the time as battery consumption could be later your least problem.
Did your steps helped in that situation? As if pillow would be the culprit, some of the flip covers could cause the same.

I didn't have the issue since, but I don't recall leaving it under a pillow since either.
My entire phone setup is documented here so you can try uninstalling the crap I've uninstalled and the relevant settings for the FP scanner.

My Huawei has a horrible battery life. I'm using stock rom (rooted of course) and the battery drains really fast, like 5-10% an hour even in sleep mode. I have used a battery calibration app recommended by someone here in xda, but I don't think it made any difference. My last Android phone used around 1% an hour, even with data and sync on, but with pretty much the same settings, I can hardly make it through the day with my Huawei.
So, what to do? I don't need the battery to last for days, but having to recharge twice a day at worst is just too much.
My battery drops around 7-10% overnight.
Probably a defective cell?
mine after i installed custom rom (b160) and a battery calibartion in flight mode during my sleep after 7 hours that passed and woke up it was 1% dropped and now 7 almost hours afterwards in normal mode it has dropped 7% with very light use of course...
i want to say just that with gsm active it drained 5% more than in flight mode...
so something must be going wrong , like you don't have a good signal and it uses much power to keep your connection alive and have better signal....
i must say that i have a profile with setcpu when the screen is off with min 122 and max 460...
and just for the record i think that with custom rom also mine was dropping more...
i don't know why although...

Noticed this myself. i use spotify alot on the phone, walking, bicycling, at the gym. and it drains a whole lot of power even in offline mode. but if i set it in flight mode the phone last for hours and hours without even dropping 5-10% of power. but when gsm or data traffic is on the battery life just drains out so quickly! so it is definitly something serously wrong in this rom. Im hoping gingerbread is coming soon to this phone, so maybe all these small issues has been fixed.
I've found highly variable battery life. Sometimes it's awful, almost 50% overnight when it's sleeping on my nightstand, other times it's much better and only drops 7-10% under those conditions.
One thing is Google Maps, even when not in use it seems to suck battery like crazy if it's loaded (and it has a habit of getting loaded even when you don't run it or any apps that use it). There's a long thread on this in the Google support forums, but no sign of a fix from Google yet.
I've found doing a 'force stop' on Maps if it's running often helps, another thing is to reboot the phone after you charge it, that seems to fix it for several days sometimes, but then it starts sucking juice again for no apparent reason, so I tend to reboot it after each recharge. There can also be other apps that due to bugs can suck battery, for a while there app killer did this but the author put a fix out pretty quick and it shouldn't be an issue now.
Just noticed that there's an Android update from Huawei now available for download, maybe that'll fix some of the irritations and help with battery life; I'm off to install it!
where can you find that update? through phone's settings->check for update (in my case it says i got the latest version) or online?
My phone has been on for nearly 48 hours.. charging it right now. I played, connected to wifi, browsed the net, facebook, gmail etc.. and I really played hard on it for a few hours.
30mins ago it switched off, dead battery.. I'm quite pleased with the battery life

Exactly the same problem here. I formatted now both the internal and external SD card, let's see if that helps.
edit: No it doesn't. The problem seems to be that my phone doesn't sleep properly. I charged it to full, then turned the screen off for one hour. App called Spart Parts shows that since last unplugged, time spent without sleeping is 36m.
it took mine 2 weeks to get to the full battery life. now i get 36-48 hours from it.

After 5 weeks i get about 12hrs. No GPS, no 3G. About 10min ago i took the charging cable off. Now Battery History in Spare Parts show that "Since last unplugged" time spent without sleeping is 10m 33s (99.9998%), and time spent with screen on is 3m 23s.
im thinking of buying this phone is it available in India ? also can this device be rooted n what about the custom roms ? are they available as there is nthng on XDA :'( . And what about its battery life even being 1500mah is it so awful ?

Now after factory reset it seems that this is fixed. Over night with Wi-Fi and all sync's enabled, it took about 20% which is quite ok.

The problem is back... For some unknown reason the phone doesn't go to sleep and starts to use more battery.
Battery History:
Other usage, since last unplugged:
Running (100%)
Screen on (3,2%)
Partial wake usage, since last unplugged:
Android System: Total time: 13s
Dialer: Total time: 0s
Maps: Total time: 0s
It seems that reboot helps with this every time. After reboot, running-% is 32.9 when screen on is 6.5%. It would still be interesting and helpful to know what causes this.

Do you mean it's a common bug, or is it normal thing for Android to not go to sleep after few hours of using the phone?

That's not true. My battery history shows that correct(as far as I can perceive) running time.

I get most of the time also. But after charging, at one point (after some time) for some reason the time spent without sleeping goes to 99%. The problem is, that the partial wake usage doesn't show that something is wrong. Usually restart helps, but sometimes it can be already late, because 100% running has already taken quite much of the battery.
Also, when the time spent without sleeping is 99% or 100%, the CPU is still NOT in heavy use. So something just prevents the phone to go to sleep mode, and it seems that it is not the CPU that causes it.

I got it through the phone, it was the 2.2.1 B136SP02 update. Not online at Huawei website. It doesn't seem to have improved battery life alas (or the frequent WiFi dropouts I've had since new, particularly while downloading app updates). Main feature of the update is WiFi tethering/hotspot support, at last...
What seems to have worked for me after a couple of weeks++ of REALLY crappy battery life is a battery stats wipe.
FullCharge while the phone was off. First boot in recovery, battery wipe and then i just let it run close to dry before the first charge (almost 48 hours of medium use). Note here that i am now using the charger that came with the phone because i noticed that my generic usb one had an output of 0.7A instead of the full 1A of the factory charger.
Another point arose however. Does anyone else have stability issues when battery drops below 25%? I am talking about some serious crash/reboot/lag/noradio issues.
I upgraded my sgs to android os 2.3.3 a few days ago. After the update my phone battery acted like it had 4-5 holes with juice leaks.. I had to recharge my phone up to 3 times / day.
I did anything to fix it, everything i read and knew with no luck. Until one night. I forgot to put it to charge. Around 23:00 the phone went off of battery and shutdown by himself. It stayd until 09 a'clock with no battery. When i woke up that time i turned it on and after i entered the pin i put it to charge 4 hours. After that seems like the problem is fixed.
After 26 hours of use, messaging, audio call, 1,5-2h of surfing the internet i still have 76% of the battery.
Android OS went from 50-60% to 4%.
The thing that still bothers me is that i have power drain 27% to Display..
A friend with sgs had the same problem, and applying this fix worked for him too. No need to disable samsung update, reset stats for battery or reseting the phone.
I hope this will help all sgs i9000 users. Cheers!!
I still am not quite understanding what you did exactly?
Sounds like you just left the phone off overnight with no charge, then when you woke up in the morning, you turned it on and charged it for 4 hours.
Is that it?
update to 2.3.4 is an option, too

Yes do that
Let it drain and let him power off himself. Let it close 7-8 hours. Turn it back on enter the pin, plug in the charger for 4 hours..
In romania we dont have yet 2.3.4
after your magic fix- turn on any gamelofft 3d game for 10 minutes and then watch your second android OS process (empty one without any apps that belongs to it) for higher percentage use, fix was never about turning draining off because simple reboot temporarily fixes it, draining fix was about to avoid draining after you turned some apps (like gameloft). If you encountered draining on 2.3.3 you should go for 2.3.4 its all sorted out in new gingerbread. There was never any fix for my phone on 2.3.3, darky and other modders never had it like i was,
and belive me, i tried everything to fix 2.3.3 !
Not sure about this 'fix' but I have played a few gameloft and other 3d games since wiping cache partition and dalvik cache without android OS bug coming back.

Call it magical, how you like, for me and my friend worked, until 2.3.4 appear in my homeland .. I'm happy this thing happened to me and i don't have to charge my phone 3 time/day for i don't know how long
sorry for 'trolling' but there is no bd on 2.3.4
your doing something wrong =)
just fyi
Started last night after I updated a few play store apps. I put my phone in the charger and it was at 1% at the time. I got it up to about 17% and it just stopped charging. I thought it was just the charger (official LG) so I switched it out and grabbed another (Touchpad charger) and it started charging again.
Skip to the morning about 6-7 hours later. Phone is really hot, 75% battery and not charging even though it's still plugged in. First instinct, restart it. At this point I had to get ready for work. When I got to work I let it slowly drain out and waiting about 30 minutes after it died before charging it, thinking that the battery needed a calibration. So I charged it up to about 35% and had to go for lunch. By the time I get back in a little over an hour it's at like.. 10% I think which is pretty odd for that amount of time.
Anyway I let it drain out again, at this point I also reflashed my current rom (dirty wipe), installed betterbatterystats and another app to check wake locks. I also installed greenify and froze 2-3 things. Drain is still happening although it might have slowed a little bit.
Fast forward to home, I have now completely wiped my phone and flashed the latest stable CM on it (10.1.2). In about 40 minutes I went from 25% - 15%. I DID NOT FLASH GAPPS YET. This is running barebones with literally no apps, no syncing (no gapps, no google signin) with WiFi on. I'm thinking the fast drain has to do with A) Uncalibrated battery (I haven't hit 100% in about 48 hours now almost) or B) battery is dead (or really bad).
TL;DR Battery is draining super fast, no [excessive] wake locks, dirty flashed once, clean wiped once. Drain still happening. All in a period of less than 24 hours. Is this a hardware issue?
have you tried a custom kernel?? .. try Franco's i think it's the best for battery life.

you can' really judge franco kernel until a few battery cycle as it need to settle with your ROM.
This has been happening for a week now. My phone drains battery like 8-10% per hour. I have Wakelock detector and Better Battery Stats. They show almost no wakelocks. wakelocks are at 5%, the rest of the time it is sleeping. I'm on Cloudy G3 last version.
When using it non stop from 100% to like 5%, my phone lasts the same as before (3h - 3h30m, brightness at 80%), the problem is sleeping.
I tried Shutting Down, new kernel, unninstalling the apps I downloaded last 2 weeks, and now I flashed CyanogenMod 11 M12. This happens on CM too.
Any solutions? Is there something wrong with the battery, my phone?
Screenshots attached.
Thank you.

I am having the exact same problem for the past few months. I tried countless factory resets. Nothing helped. I'm suspecting either some sensors went bad and kept the phone awake or the internal memory went bad, because as soon as I started filling up my storage(after factory reset) my battery would go to hell. I don't think it's the battery capacity because, as you said, if I used my phone non-stop I could still get around 4h screen on time. It's something else that's misbehaving and preventing deep sleep but not on software side, since there are no wake locks.
I've now given up and yesterday took my phone to the service shop. Will see how it goes.

Please keep me up to date. Tell me what they changed (battery, motherboard etc.) and if it worked. thanks
[TL;DR]
Phone battery suddenly drains faster than usual, drains to 0% overnight. Problem still persist even after April update and after battery change. Can't find any solutions. Help me.
Hey, so about a week ago something very strange happened to my Mi A1 and got worse overtime. So what happened was my battery went from 80+% to 0% overnight. I woke up confused and just recharged it and didn't think too much. After a full charge, I noticed the battery drains abit more than usual and had to plug it in constantly. Before going to bed I charged my phone to 100% to see if it would drain to 0% again. It did. As time passes the problem gets worst. The phone started getting warm when charging (around 40+°C up to 50°C) then after a while the phone runs warm even when not charging (never goes below 40°C). My phone always used to run at about 30-35°C even when charging. I changed the battery myself because there was no warranty on it but it didn't fix the problem. However it did help abit. The battery drains ever so slightly slower now but still drains to 0% overnight. It still runs warm but now it does go below 40°C (rarely). Before and after the battery change, the discharging rate is about 700mA and sometimes reaches 1000+mA (used an app called Ampere, not too sure how accurate it is). The phone was also warmer than usual when charging even when the phone was off (before and after the battery change). I tried factory resetting to see if that does anything but had no luck. I also tried using a Wakelock detector app to see if there was an app excessively triggering a wakelock but all seemed normal. I even tried downloading a "battery calibration app" which obviously didn't work. So I feel like it's a hardware problem.
Now here's what I did and did not do to the phone before the problem happened. What I did was I do charge the phone quite alot most of the time. What I mean by that is when it hits about 30% I'll plug it in but I never leave it plugged in after a full charge or charge it overnight and I seldom let the battery drain to below 10%. Even so, the phone never got warm like how it is now. That's about all I did to it. Now what I didn't do was, I never tried to install custom ROMs or root/modify my phone in anyway except for the post about how to enable 4G+ which didn't work for me.. My phone is completely stock. I also didn't install any new apps from the playstore or from any 3rd party sites nor were there any updates for any apps installed in my phone. I've had the same apps installed for a couple of months before this happened. I also haven't dropped my phone for a couple of months. I only dropped it less than 5 times from short heights and I have a very rugged case on. I also didn't use any 3rd party chargers. I'm still using the charging brick and cable that came with the phone. I have tried using other chargers that are 2A but no luck. So basically I didn't do anything out of the ordinary prior to this problem.
Just some extra information
1. The hottest part of the phone is at the top right corner of the back. I assume the CPU is there (?).
2. It happened before the April update. It was the same before and after the April update.
3. Phone is running on Android Pie if that wasn't clear
4. The phone is only 10 months old
5. My phone is the Global ROM version
6. Performance wise, its still responsive and snappy. Doesn't lag or freeze or anything.
6. I always have mobile data on and use it as hotspot for my laptop at uni. I have been using it like that for the past 9 months. However the problem happened when I was at home during sem break so I was mostly connected to Wi-Fi.
Sorry for such a long post. I hope somewhere out there, there is someone who can help me or other people that have a similar problem so we can fix it.
Thanks.
In the upper right corner, should be the modem area.
Try holding the phone on airplane mode during the night and monitor drain.
Also, try changing the SIM slot and do an APN reset. If this fails too, try changing your SIM card or if u can, try another operator SIM.
If you changed any value with QXDM PRO , try and put back the default values.
Good luck
