Samsung Galaxy S10+ G975u

Google play services has up updated to lastest, as far as I know, to 19.2.74 (100400)
But it's using up over 3% battery in one day, 26% in a week according to device care > battery >
What I have noticed major battery drain. I have to charge up at least once before bedtime. This didn't happen before the last Google play services drain issue I think it was last month? I signed up for the beta, it didn't fix anything. So I read the newer ones fixed the battery drain, reinstalled the regular one - and just been waiting for things to get better really.
Anybody else experience this?
i am facing similar issue in s9+? did u ever solved this issue?

Hi,
I just installed latest update from Samsung via Kies (Baseband: I9300XXLH1 / Build: IMM76D.I9300XXBLH1) but now I suddently have huge battery problems. It only takes a few hours for the battery to go from 100% to <10%. Prior to the update I could easily have it running for a whole day without recharging.
From the battery stats it looks like Google Services is the bad guy using the most battery. Since I have not changes anything in regards to the services, I suspect that some bug has been introduced.
Has any of you experienced this? is there a fix for this?
thansk
It should be some wake locks and sync issues, install bbs and GSam Battery Monitor and find out the culprit

Hello folks,
When I bumped into this thread which listed a version of Google Play Services, version 4.4.52; I immediately updated mine which was suffering from extreme wakelocks (I was on 4.3.25).
Here is my phone running the latest version

After installing the new package I went to bed, hoping to wake up in the morning to an improved and reduced battery use. Boy was I wrong!
My phone was awake for the entire 9 hours while I slept!

Look at the awake bar, and notice how it never went into deep sleep! Fortunately, after a couple of reboots my phone was able to enter deep sleep. But, compared to numerous screen shots of other users' battery stats, my phone displays significantly more awake periods.
Keep in mind I have factory reset 3 times now, and the wakelocks continue to occur and plague my existence, resulting in furious vain attempts at finding a fix. The only way to prevent such wakelocks and idle battery drain for me was to disable location services, hence crippling Google Now and other location features.
Does anyone else suffer from poor battery life despite disabling all gimmicky features such as hand motions as well as bloatware?
Have you been able to develop a solution?
I ran into huge battery drain with the past 2 Play Services updates. The latest (4.4.52) I thought fixed the problem, but only for a day. I just rebooted to fix the wake lock I was having. Frustrated.... Nexus 5 here.

Interestingly enough the 4.4.52 update was never pushed to the galaxy s5, I manually installed it.
Even with location turned off I woke up this morning to this:

I have perfect battery life on my S5. I convinced my coworker to get an S5, but their battery life has been total crap. Their Android OS is at a whopping 40%! Mine runs at maybe 20, but more like less than 15% (I am rooted, but before I was I noticed it at maybe 20%). Thoughts? I heared of the deepsleep bug, but I think that is for old android version. All help appreciated!

I've noticed the issue with GPS location services and Google Play Services.
For GPS, try this:
Turn location OFF (if it's already off, turn it ON then back off after a few minutes).
Reboot
Turn location ON
Reboot
This fixed one instance of battery drain I had... Don't know why or how, but it did.
For Google Play Services, I cleared cache/data for this in Application Management, uninstalled updates, rebooted, and let it update again. This fixed the instance of this battery drain.
Play services has been the biggest consumer of the battery, lately. Are anyone else experiencing this? Does anyone have a solution?
My battery lasts half the time it did previously
Hey.
Has anyone else noticed this - very high GPS drain after updating to the AQI7 update? I am on the European Exynos model and usually GPS is sitting at 1-3% usage at most after a normal day. Today it's closer to 10% with almost 300mah drained within 10 hours. That's more than half of my screen time usage.
Going through Better Battery Stats, I saw that *net_scheduler* with Google Services under it was forcing about 2000 wakelocks in the span of 2 hours. Sometimes it appears under another app name, but after the update it seems to have risen up extremely high and is likely causing the drain as the system shows GPS to be 2nd in battery stats.
I tried wiping delvik cache, system cache from settings, re-logging from google accounts, re-installing the google play services updates, and even enrolled in the GPS beta and am now using it. The phone is charging now and I will see if the problem continues in the next few hours.
If it does, I wonder if there is anything else I can do about it other than factory reset? I don't want to go there, but I definitely will if need be.
It's so tiring to see this issue pop-up on all Android devices I have had so far after 5.0 came out. It's like a plague that cannot be avoided with any device...
Did this happen to anyone else after the last update, or is it just me for some interesting reason?
Thanks for reading.
same problem here
OK, after the last full charge the phone is behaving quite well and now indicates 94% deep sleep, which is not bad at all.
What might have done it is switching to Google Play Services BETA. If you cannot find it in play store, use this link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.gms
Scroll down and enroll in the beta. Check the link again after a few minutes and hit the Update button. Charge your phone and see how it does.
I will have to observe how drain goes over the day tomorrow, but for now with 4g and wifi on at my home, I have 2% drain over 3 hours and a bit over. Wakelocks still occur but they are in the 0-1% range of waking up in this period of time, compared to the 6-7-8% of the net_scheduler wakelock from GPS the previous day. If it stays like this I think the problem could be marked as solved.
Update: After last night: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0Bwg-0GLG0gP9NDJQd2NYSkZ3V0U
About 2% of the drain was lost during me sleeping with WiFi and LTE on. Maybe GPS beta really sealed the deal.
