Navbar Gesture Haptic Feedback - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

Hey guys. So about a week ago, I received the latest update from att (ASGK) and it came with haptic feedback for navbar gestures. They also updated goodlocks task manager with gesture haptic feedback as well. However, it has not worked on my phone since the day I recieved the update. Now its not an issue that will bring about the end of the world, but if anyone has some ideas of a fix for this, I would greatly appreciate it.... Haptic feedback is a small... but comforting feature to have lol.

Maybe try going into settings, sounds and vibrations, system sounds and vibrations, make sure touch vibration at the bottom is toggled on. Then back out one screen to the vibration intensity and adjust the touch interaction to your liking.

Haptic feedback Issue

I have an issue with my haptic feedback. Has been working fine since this morning, up until around the time when I installed the "Fast Web Installer" for Appbrain.
I notice that when I press the touch buttons the vibration seems to be very weak, as if the pulse of vibration is too short. If I increase the "Vibration Intensity" it feels fine when you are selecting the intensity (intensity slide bar), however, when you are finished selecting and press the buttons it is once again weak and short.
I have rebooted the phone a few times. Turned off the phone and removed battery then restarted. This still hasn't helped. Funny thing is the vibrations are fine when I'm choosing the "Vibration Intensity", and also it is fine when I get a call (as I have it set to vibrate phone for incoming calls.
Any ideas?
edit:
Possibly the vibrations aren't feeling as strong as once were. In the "Vibration Intensity"' menu, I can't really feel the vibrations for the last three settings, can only feel them on the upper three settings. However, I can hear the motor moving at the lower intensities if I listen closely. It's either lost it's vibration intensity or my hands are so cold I can't feel it as much.
edit2: seems to have fixed itself
My haptic feedback is always off since it's just a bettery waster

I'm getting the same issue, and also to top the icing on the cake, it makes a strange strange sound when I get haptic feedback/vibration and it's bugging me quite a bit... is it something to do with the drivers for it, since in the settings for intensities it seems fine ok?
i have the same problem...anyone can help please?

Atrix Vibration Option for the bottom row of buttons

I want to turn the vibration off of the bottom row of buttons. I do not see a haptic or vibration toggle or option that will turn this off in the 2.2.1 system version. Just want some direction. It is not under Settings > Sound.
+1
Sent from my Atrix using XDA App
I'm sure that would also save a lot of batterylife ..
This has been asked/answered in this forum many times now. There is nothing from Motorola to provide this functionality. The only solution right now is to have your Atrix rooted and then download and install the the Dell StreakVibrations.apk
Once that software is installed you'll be able to disable ALL vibrations on your phone. This will turn off the haptic feedback on the bottom 4 buttons as well. Everytime you reboot your phone you'll still have to re-run the StreakVibrations software to disable vibrations again.
This software allows you to toggle all vibrations off/on.
NOTE: while vibrations are OFF, silent alerts that depend on vibrations will NOT work, like "Silent Mode", aka "Meeting Mode", etc.

Thanks old chap...
This post is old....But the latest 2 versions of the AT&T updates have the option to toggle haptic feedback under sounds right above SD card notifications.

NEW BUG!

I found a new bug.
When you turn off the haptic feedback, the phone still vibrates (like while answering or rejecting a call). However, when you activate the haptic feedback and adjust the intensity of vibration to 0) then even if you uncheck the haptic feedback, the settings works!!!
This means that the vibration intensity which is the sub function of haptic feedback overrides the haptic feedback whether it is switched on or off, What a joke !!!
I came across this while trying to turn off the vibration while answering and rejecting a call. I saw that haptic feedback is turned off and still the phone was vibrating, so i activated the haptic feedback and so the vibration intensity also got activated, then i slide it to 0 and then i disabled the haptic feedback and lo! the phone stopped vibrating.
Maybe you should write which firmware version you are using since on XWKF3 its ok for me.
works fine on my rom...
Isn't that supposed to be deactivated from call settings ? I think it's got nothing to do with haptic feedback settings.

On KH3 (2.3.4), it's under settings > call > call alerts > outgoing call vibration.
Unless I misunderstood what you were trying to do.
Haptic feedback setting under settings > sound is mostly for the menu & back keys.
Sounds like user error and stop the !!!!!!! Please
What was wrong with your other thread.
Most of the time the problem exists between keyboard and chair..
Here it exists between touch screen and back of users head.
Seeing as its not a new bug, will you re-title the thread?
its an ID Ten T error

Computer user, not terminal
Topic should be "USER ERROR."
Dont know what shud be the title , but it has solved a big problem i was facing. After sending bulk sms's, i get bulk notifications from my service provider (airtel) in the form of flash messages indicating me my balance and each time the phone used to vibrate and it was very annoying. I had tried all the settings and nothing worked, but setting haptic feedback ON and then decreasing its intensity to zero has solved the problem. so i also feel that thr is some bug here may be in some ROMs.

Touch key vibration

I could have sworn I was getting haptic feedback on the touch keys when I first had this phone. Now I don't. Anyone know where the setting is for this?
Searching settings didn't help. I guess I can learn to live without the feature, but I liked it on my S6.
Edit: Found it. It's in the sound settings, and it was on but not vibrating. Toggling it back and forth fixed it, but I'm concerned that this is the second setting that has turned itself off without my permission (AOD did this, too).

How to enable haptic vibrate again ?

I was playing around with my wife's G6 tonight and I noticed every time I made a touch or anything in the phone there was no haptic vibrate going on. But before her phone always had a very nice haptic feedback on it.
I checked all settings like sound had vibrate to tap on I went to other settings with haptic feedback and they looked to all be checked and enabled.
So why isn't her phone vibrating ?
No one has an idea what's up ?
I went through all Settings options, turned off and back on Vibrate to tap. Still doesn't work.

It could be that the vibration motor is dead or damaged...

Haptic actuators don't use motors.
Make sure your battery saving is turn off, turning on battery saving will disable haptic feedback.
