Samsung 45W Charger Note 10+ review - Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ Accessories

Here is the video of the actual Samsung 45W charger being used against a Huawei P30 Pro and ROG Phone 2.
Basically it's 30 minutes for 0% - 70% which is what you want it for. It's about 60 minutes for 0% - 100% as the phone slows down it's charging as it should as it gets around 80% - 100%

Looking forward to getting mine soon.

There's already an existing thread discussing the 45W charger. Please continue the discussion there:

Charging speed

To power up, you consume Red Bull. But your phone just needs its adaptive fast charger. Rate this thread to express how quickly the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 can charge. A higher rating indicates that it charges extremely fast.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
I have done some testing.
With QC 2.0 (my old Motorola Turbo charge 15) I charge phone from 20% to 90% with rate 65%/hour (1 hour and 10 minutes time)
With QC 3.0 (charger and cable from original Chinese packaging) I charge phone form 30% to 87% with rate 95%/hour (40 minutes)
I think this scenario is common for most users when they need to charge phone in hurry.
Later I will add also charging rate for quick wireless charger included in box and maybe also some QC 4.0+ if I get my hands on some.
In my case, I bought a PD3.0 charger from Aukey and my Mi Mix 3 is charging from 0% to 100% in 1h08 !
In fact after a few research I found that Power Delivery Technology is compatible with Qualcomm Quick Charge because Quick charge is working with Power Delivery and add a few security technology, but power delivery already have some.
Nevermind, I tested it and indeed My PD3.0 charger (max 15V and 3A) with a anker cable wich support up to 5A is working faster than the QC3 charger !
I suppose a QC4.0 should be better, but for now I think PD3.0 is the best solution !
I second @romain1672...I've converted all my chargers to USB-PD since I've divested from non-USB-C devices and my Mi Mix 3 flies with them.
I believe the wireless charging is relatively slow, think one review said three hours for full charge? But that's expected to be honest.
I've heard it said that slow charging is better for battery life, so in effect, wouldn't the wireless charger be better than cabled, if you're not pressed for time?
It took me exactly 1h45 to charge from 17% to 100% with the wireless charger. It's pretty fast for a wireless charger, but the only issue is that it heats lot of more than wired, and i read somewhere that heat isn't good for battery health.
Hi guys, I just bought the Razer Phone charger (it's the only one I could get quickly with Quick Charge 4.0+ in the UK). Not the most scientific of tests, but it went from 30% to 87% in 30 mins. I tested from 30% again today with a Quick Charge 3 charger and in 30 minutes it made it to 80%.
Sorry I didn't run from 0-100%, I can probably test that more easily this weekend if people are interested?
Fast enough that for the first time since owning a smart phone I never have to think about looking for a charge, even when travelling.
Does anyone know of any wireless chargers/charging stands that charge the mix 3 as fast as the included one? I've tried a couple I had with previous phones and they just charge so much slower
This charger is becoming annoying.
I place my phone on the puck by my bed. Sometimes, before falling asleep, I hear the sound indicating charge stopping.
Then, in the morning I find my phone has moved off the puck. And it is not me! The phone slips away if not perfectly aligned centrally on the puck. It is not surprising as the induction forces between the puck and phone will be opposing but the manufacturer should have spotted this and made the puck/phone with more friction between them.

Bro, I use my brothers Samsung Wireless Charger "EP-NG930" from his S8. Google it to see it. I can't post a pic of it since I leave it in the office but underneath it is rated at 9V 1.67A (15W)
I must say it charges pretty much the same, if not, faster than the included one since it has a built-in noiseless fan behind the coils

This phone charges pretty fast! Around 1h 35min from 0 to 100% (I think, will test that later). I'm using the 30w charger.
2 hours with 18W
1 hour 40 mins with 25w charger...
Any one used some charger with 45/50w? ;D
I want to know how much faster this smart can charge lol.i bought the 30w charger and i think is very fast a great smart too
I'm having serious issues with 3 of my Samsung 15W chargers. Never had a problem with LG G6, Samsung S6, S7, S9 and the odd device here and there while on Rog Phone 2 it will quick charge 1/20 times with it.
And believe me. You don't want to charge with the regular 5V charger mode. It will take hours upon hours.
Maybe it has something to do with the latest OTA.
If some1 can test 50 / 65 w charger and post the results will be awsome!

I'm facing issue with my Rog 2, my phone is not charging fast. 1) I'm using 18w charger come with the phone to charge. 2) I have used Xiaomi 2i power bank with 18w output to charge my phone (still not working). 3) When i restart the phone battery goes down 36% to 29%. 4) On charging when i restart the phone it goes 8% to 13%. 5) I'm facing this problem from the 2-3 days. 6) Double plus sign on battery icon as well as fast charging text on home screen is also not showing while charging

It's a custom made charger bought from ebay. It is called JUICEBITZ Turbo Charger 3.0 Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 3 port.
Normal charging speed, just like 4000-5000 mah phones batterys from 2013 same speed nothing special.
6000mah what more u expect ?

You need a higher output powerbank bro.. I bought a nubia 27w output power bank to be closer to the 30W power brick...
I use my Note10+ 25w charger. Works well.
I tried Baseus 60w PD type-c charger but it's charging about 16w. Looking for 30w alternate charger. Asus one really expensive with our local money.

Warp Charger Safe to use at 4300mA?

I picked up a "Original OnePlus Warp Charge 30 Wall Charger" https://www.ebay.com/itm/For-Oneplu...rge-30-Wall-Charger-6A-Max-Cable/333268578383
The attached screen caps show up to 4300mA when below 70%, then it dropped off to the hundreds. The starting point was 56% full.
On another test when the battery was 26%, it was a sustained ~4300mA until 70%, then ~1500 in the 70s-80s, then hundreds in the 90s.
In short, is it safe to use this 4300 warp charger vs 3400 from the dash charger for when it is under 70% full?

Update 4000's mA for 13 mins
See attached. Phone was not in airplane mode.
3637-4396 mA for 19 mins, then a drop to 1490 and it normal trickle down. It seems safe to use the Warp charger?
Wow, that's insane.
How long did it take to charge in comparisation to an dash charger?
Thanks a lot
pOpY
Normally I assume it would be... But those are super high numbers too! I hope it is, because that would be awesome!
Yeah, maybe it charges faster at the beginning, but there are a few variables:
Does it charge shorter with higher current -> maybe because battery gets warmer and charging circuit will lower current earlier
does it charge with lower current after ~4A charge -> so it would slow down the whole charging?
I think the easiest way to find this out is, let the phone discharge to an defined percentage (like 15%).
Do not load the phone too much before charging, because otherwise the battery gets hot and can influence the charging speed.
Charge it it with dash charge & meassure the charging time until it hits 100%
Repeat this test with warp charger and compare the charging times.
This would give us an overview if warp charger, chariging the phone faster.
@mattybaby is it possible for you to try this?
Thank you
pOpY
this is what the warp charger hits on the 6t Mclaren
YouTube vlogger, Matthew Moniz, tested the Warp charger on a normal OP6T and used a Dash (Fast) charger on the Mclaren OP6T. The Mclaren OP6T still charged quicker on the the standard Dash (Fast) charger. The charge time he got with the normal OP6T on Warp charge seems to be almost consistent with the time I get to charge my standard OP6T using the Dash (Fast) charger. Another YouTube vlogger, Dave2D also tested this out and did not notice a huge difference. I think the conclusion is that the Warp charger won't make much of a difference on a standard OP6T and from my point of view is really only worth getting if you are intending to upgrade to a phone that does support it in future.
For reference, here are the links to the videos:
Matthew Moniz: Does Warp Charge Work on the OnePlus 6T?
Dave2D: Is OnePlus WARP Charge Special?
Mods, if YouTube links are not allowed, please remove. I am sure users can do a Google/YouTube search for these.
Original OnePlus 6T Wall Charger - 35% to 100% in 55 mins
The Original OnePlus 6T Wall Charger + Same Cable used for the Warp Charger.
35% to 100% in 55 mins
620pm - 639pm = 33xx mA - 19 mins
640pm- 645pm = 27xx mA - 5 mins
646pm - 656pm = 1700-1900 mA - 10 mins
657pm - 718pm = 1217 mA dropping to 628 mA - 21 mins
2 mins 11 seconds in into https://youtu.be/IsgNhhlIUrU?t=131 (thanks @dj_ooms) shows the warp charger is faster than the Original.
I just purchased Warp Charger since I needed a 2nd one and to future proof.
Live compare at 40%
At the office, I placed two OP6T's into airplane mode at 40%.
One has the skydragon rom (Warp), the other coworkers stock (Dash). Not quite apples to apples, but as close as I could get.
The Warp had a 2-3% lead most of the time. At max, the warp had a 6% lead before reaching the 80's were it normally slow down to below 1500 mA and the Dash was able to "catch up" a little few %.
All in all, I would not run out to buy the Warp charger, but for a 2nd charger, I would buy it just to future proof and ekk out a little % fast when below 70%
Warp charger needs the phone part of warp to be able to give its full potential, it's not only on the charger side.
That's why only 7 and + have it

45watt pd pps powerbank and charger

Ok, quick edit 03/11
Below is post by post/day to day, my first real life experience with the PowerPie 20.000mAh 45w PD PPS powerbank.
I will summarise the whole thing with a few pics over the next few days but it's not a very long read if you want to get an idea of it, go ahead
For 58 Euro I think this is worth every cent.
Original first post below:
Hey guys/girls
I haven't been posting much for quite some time but still lurking in the background
I got a 20.000mAh powerbank today called PowerPie, it supports 45w pd pps charging so it is good for Note 10 plus onwards.
There's a link to it here but I'll update this thread with my personal experience as I get testing and trying it out.
Sorry if this has already been covered but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere here.
They do a 45w pd pps charger as well but I did not get that one as there was no 3 pin plug one.

Super, that's the one I have as well so that's good to know.
I didn't know about the 45W charger from Elecjet when I bought the Samsung one but I only paid 37 quid so it is all good.
I think it will sell well since Samsung doesn't seem to be dropping price themselves
1st test
Got to try this thing out for the first time this morning.
I let the Note 10 plus drain until it turned itself off in a final death cramp of a vibration *
Using the short usb-c to usb-c cable that came with the PowerPie I plugged it in.*
I had already charged the PowerPie fully using the official Samsung 45 Watt charger.
Here is what I got at first attempt on my 5 months old Note 10 plus 5G from 0%
7 min - 14%
9 min - 22%
12 min - 30 %
20 min - 47%
30 min - 66% (I've seen claims of 69% but I find 66% perfectly acceptable)
40 min 83%
47 min 90%
1 hour - 96%
1.05 - 100%
Considering that this is a powerbank, not a wall charger I find it a VERY GOOD result.*
The PowerPie is still showing 3 of the 4 LED's so it is so far so good with hoping to get 4 full charges plus a bit but I'll report back on that later.
Update:
I did the 2nd full charge of my Galaxy Note 10 Plus 5G from 0% using the PowerPie and it was actually a minute or two quicker to both 90 and 100% today
but anything above 80% (42 minutes) is really irrelevant.
However, the positive taken from todays mini test is that during this 2nd charge cycle the led's on the PowerPie did drop from 3 to 2 but after charging the phone to a 100% there is still 2 led's lit up which should indicate that there is over 50% in *The Pie*
Tomorrow and the day after to go and I'll be able to confirm if a full 4 charges for the Note 10 plus 5G is possible but it is looking positive so far.

I'm giving it a go anyway, it will be nice to know how far it stretches for when you need it.
After this first initial testing it will be the exemption rather than the rule running *The Pie* flat again
I want to also see how quick it charges to full using the Samsung 45w charger so obviously have to run it dry.
Another Update.
Day 3:
3rd full charge cycle just done and there is still 1 led left on, on *The Pie* indicating that there is a minimum of 25% 5000mAh left in it, so it will be interesting tomorrow to see if that translates into a 4th full charge cycle.
Interesting thing from todays mini test was that I instead of letting the Galaxy Note 10 Plus die on it's own, I instead switched it off at 1% (letting Galaxy phones die completely have caused issues for customers in the past)*
This seems to have resulted in slightly faster charging as it went to 77% in 30-31 minutes and a full 100% in 96 minutes, which is a fair bit better than starting from completely dead.

Hi Friends,
I have been thinking of getting the 45 watt samsung charger myself but then had this thought of going for a 65 watt Type C charger for a dell chromebook 3380.
Note 10+ is supposed to be able to take upto 47 watts if I'm not mistaken. please correct me if I'm wrong. The dell charger will work for the phone and the chromebook both and costs around $52-55 here. The Samsung Charger on the online Sammy store is also $53-55 and that in my currency equals ₹3500 - 4200 approx. The chromebook charger will actually cost less because the don't sell that well but the Samsung won't be coming down anytime soon atleast which makes me lean towards the dell.
You maybe aware that oppo is shipping the Reno 2 or 3 whichever it is they launched few days ago with a 65 watt fast charger.
After reading through this topic and your posts one thing I found surprising is that the charge times are actually more than my standard 25 watt charger that came in the box. Is it that the power bank is not putting out 45 watts for charging the phone but is capable of being charged with a 45 watt charger?
I think if we use a 45 watt charger for the phone itself the total time to go from 0% to 100% should not be more than 30-35 minutes. Is that correct, because you have those chargers I think you would be the right ones to throw some light on this.
Thanks for sharing and I am looking forward to your advice/experience in this regard.
Have a great day ahead, it is 4.20 am in India right now for others I would say sleep well if it's bedtime.
This is the longest time I have been on a phone without rooting it, which I will do soon. I wanted to check how true the statement that most apps that needed root can now work without it.
It hasn't turned out to be quite like that, titanium backup needs root and most importantly the best audio mod for android ViperFX needs root too. I have also been running 2 sim cards and the micro sd card at the same time, which samsung has blocked and thus can't be done without rooting and a custom os.

Hi centaur31
Don't get just any 45w charger as you will end up with something that only charges you phone at 15w or maybe 25w if you are lucky.
Reason for this is that you need a pd pps charger, just pd won't work.
Oppo and other OEMs use different proprietary types of fast charging so their chargers won't work either.
From 0-100 % your 25W charger will be nearly as quick as the 45w only about 10 minutes difference.
The 45W is a good bit faster at the lower and mid so disregard between 80-100% it's not how it was designed.
No your 25W will not charge faster than either this 45w PowerPie or Samsung 45w between 80-100%
I have 25/45w from Samsung and also now this powerbank so I can guarantee that.
I can't help you with the Root questions as I haven't been doing that since Note 4, to me the 8/9/10 is fine without Root
Sorry I missed a thing there...
No 45w will not charge to 100% in 30-35min.
55min. is probably the best you can expect to see and 1.05h from the 25w
Final day of this mini test of the *The Pie* with the Note 10 Plus 5G
I let the phone go down to 1% again and plugged it in, there was still 1 of the 4 LEDs lit up on the power bank so I was a little optimistic about maybe getting a full 4th charge out of it but it wasn't to be....
However...It stopped at bang on 60% so all in I think it is a very respectable result considering that this is a 45W fast charging powerbank.
3 full 4300mAh charges plus one at 60% (2580mAh) if you can calculate it that directly.
Is it worth the 58 Euro I paid for it... I most certainly think so
I measured Powerpie bank and official 45w charger do not go pass 38w no matter what so in reality its 38w charger.. also there's Baseus PPS 45w car charger that works with Note 10+ and it maxes out at 38w as well (when the phone is completely dead, it's even lower if it has some juice still left).. so don't spend arm and a leg on that new car charger Samsung just announced, I payed for Baseus 12$ on ebay [emoji23]
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
The Baseus I'm sure doesn't do 45W pps but I doubt that you are correct about both Samsungs charger and the PowerPie.
I would question your testing/measurement methods a bit, simply because you can't get ANY of the 3 different pieces of equipment to go over 38w

I didn't find it necessary to test the official charger as it delivered the charging times that Samsung claims it should.
Are you sure you are using the correct type cable for testing?
OK so you didn't actually measured the actual wattage at various stages of the battery lol until you do, how can you argue that I'm doing something incorrectly, see for yourself
Sent from my SM-N975U using Tapatalk
Well they're claiming UP TO 45w, not 45w all the time so in reality that means that if it only hit 45w once or twice then it does what they say
I'm happy enough with the charging results I have gotten anyway as they have lived up to expectations.
Next to try is the pps car charger

Yes, I have with genuine A71 charger ( already in use with my A71 ). Huge difference then this supplied 15w one.
I never let my phone to go to 0% as it effects battery life. Usually get it charge from 15 to 100% and it takes exactly an hour .
15w (supplied in the box) does the same in 1 hour and 50 mins approx...
Highly recommended to have a 25w original one... ( There are lots of copy versions in the market which are of no use as they charge on same slow speeds).
To verify, its simple that it will show "super fast charge" and the copy version will show only "Fast charge" which is not fast by any standards....
Mine from 1% to 100% takes about 115 minutes
about 1hr to go 40-100 on a 60w laptop usb c brick
With 25w charger it charges 18-20% in 10 minutes.
It's decent but I do miss the dash charge from my one plus.
Seems mine charges rather quickly no issues.
