Hey guys
I already find way to compile to the latest twrp 3.1.0-3 unofficially, to fix some existing bugs in previous version twrp both official or unofficial, like in prevous twrp, if you try to encrypt your data, you will getting alot trouble or imposible to decrypt and enter and access data user again.
Bug fixs:
Encryption,
Decryption,
Aroma installer,
All are fully working properly
Flash with previous twrp recovery or by fastboot

Just enter to twrp recovery mode click install section, click install image section on right bottom side, and navigate to where is twrp img that you already downloaded, and thick button on recovery option (make sure not to choose wong section other than thick recovery button), then flashed, next restart to enter to boot recovery one again.

Yes you can, just rename the downloaded file to twrp.img
Thanks for this version! The other twrps indeed are not working with aroma installers.

For some reason I can't install the latest materialiazed 3.1.0.0 via the flash image in twrp. It installs, but the theme is the standard, not like in the screenshots. I didn't tried the fastboot method as I'm lazy.
Thanks bro.. i'll try this!!

Maybe the question sounds stupid but why it is not allowed to flash update.zip ( TWRP inside ) with original Lenovo recovery ?

Thanks, i updated the file you can download again for material theme
So this week i hadn't time enough to install the august update since my phone is rooted so i decided to do it now. What i did before trying to download the update :
1.Deleted all magisk modules that i had then rebooted
2.Unistalled magisk using restore image then rebooted
3.Went to sys update downloaded and it says installation failed
What do to? I'm not rooted now and i don't have twrp installed.
PS. don't want to install it via fastboot/miflash
Follow this guide in future. https://github.com/topjohnwu/Magisk/blob/master/docs/tips.md#ota-installation-tips

If you don't want to use Miflash (Why ?) you can boot temporary TWRP and flash .zip here:

I'm facing same issue and I was following the guide.
Same here, can't install set Ota, even after remove magisk.
Other thing, cell won't show screen to put pin to boot, previous pin of sim so I think encryption is disable!? Any idea?
Hello everyone I have recently flashed AOSP pie 9 ROM but after that my TWRP recovery gets wipe and stock recovery gets installed and after reflashing TWRP I can't flash magisk and get root access.
Edit: Issue solved. The solution with Magisk not appearing even after clean flashed on AOSP 9:
Step1: Flash TWRP with Tissot manager: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/development/treble-twrp-installer-treble-manager-t3793637 "Download" Note: You can leave Treble stuff and just flash TWRP
Step2: Goto Advanced and select Tissot Manager "Run"
After that flash magisk.
Note: It will also work on temporary TWRP but the with the @CosmicDan TWRP, it will get installed to both slot kernels so you don't need to hassle on selecting/changing slot.
Thank You!

And just flash TWRP again. Not hard to think of.

Me too, just installed the magisk manager apk
Just unlocked and flashed TWRP. No matter what I try, I can't get it to recognise my storage to install SuperSU.
What can I do to fix this?
I am on stock OOS 5.1.5
Thanks
EDIT - Worked it out. I formatted the data and it then let me install SuperSU.
EDIT 2 - After installing SuperSU zip file, the phone wasn't rooted when rebooting and also, TWRP won't recognise my data once I rebooted into it again.
Any ideas?

After twrp installation and before the first system reboot you need to flash magisk so twrp will be stick in place.
I really don't know if it works with supersu. Do you want to stay encrypted(internal storage)? Which twrp(file name) did you flash?
Preferably encrypted. I flashed twrp 3.1.1 cheeseburger.
I am trying to install Franco Kernel. So I unlocked the bootloader, flashed TWRP 3.1.1 and then tried to flash Super SU or Magisk and neither worked. It came up with an issue with file mounting.

It seems to me you did not use latest blu spark or codeworkx recovery instead you used official twrp.
It's recommended to not use official twrp. Please change the twrp and test again.

Normally not, but if needed: every rom zip comes along with a boot.img inside the zip. Just extract it from this rom zip and you have the kernel of this rom :good:

Do I need to wipe or anything? Or do I just flash the boot.img, wipe cache and then flash Magisk? Or shall I boot fully into the OS, then back into TWRP to flash it?
Still not sure where I get the correct boot.img from!
Edit - can I dirty flash the whole firmware? I would like to do this so I can do a clean backup with the stock kernel before I then flash Magisk and Franco. Would this work?

You can also flash the complete rom with kernel.
But just look inside the downloaded rom zip file, there's the boot.img you're looking for. You don't need to wipe anything or boot into OS for flashing just the kernel!

Hello,
I got the error " error installing zip file " while a try to flash oos 11.1.2.2.
I try sideload instead by it Failed instantly. I tried to format data and wipe without any change. I also tried to boot other version of TWRP (I currently use a custom version of TWRP 3.6.0), but I always got a Crash Dump error.
I was able to install rom with this version of TWRP before and I have wanted to install PixelExperience but I have forgotten to flash oos 11.1.2.2 before and i think is that witch broken TWRP.
I also tried to reinstall TWRP.
Any ideas on this?

I had that error before from a bad copy of oos. I would download it again and copy to USB again if that's what you're using. Also use this twrp to fastboot boot it works I actually just had to do it a min ago.
