Have the TWP 4G (non Chinese version) and the update keeps failing. Is anyone else experiencing this? Update downloads fully then it prepares the update to 20%, then reboots to being the install. The install process goes to about 20%, then the wonderful red exclamation mark comes up with Error! I remember something similar happening with the original TW Pro and it had something to do with the file Mobvoi was pushing out. Of course I've contacted their phone support who just told me to submit a ticket. Already told all the steps I took: factory reset from recovery to confirm there's no recovery issue, reset everything x amount of times and no dice. Support asked me to the steps again so I did it while recording to humor them. But thought I would ask on here and see if anyone else is experiencing this problem? Thanks!

I've been trying to get the latest update (apparently it will fix the bluetooth issue), it downloads fine, goes into recovery, tries to do a system update and it errors out and reboots (and reports as failed).
I've tried 4 times over the past couple of days.
Anyone else experiencing a similar issue?
Any tips to get it working?

I'm having the same issue. If anyone figures this out, please let me know.
Also Failing
I'm in the same boat. I've tried five times over a week. Keeps reporting a failure after the reboot.
I did have it rooted, but lost it from the last update. Haven't tried to root it again, so I don't think that would cause any issues.
I'm on Verizon. Hopefully somebody can figure it out.
Bump.
It's still happening. Anyone?
Still fails after factory reset
So Verizon claims to try taking the battery out and retrying to install the update. Tried it. Update fails.
After a couple weeks of this, I caved and did a factory reset. Update still fails. It seems to fail about 30% into the progress bar during recovery mode.
Possibly going to the Samsung guys at Best Buy will solve this...
I have the 16 GB model. I've previously unlocked the bootloader and rooted it. I've had no problems updating before despite having rooted the device (other than the need to manually re-root after flashing). For some reason the 1.4 update won't flash properly. Instead it gets stuck flashing with the error shown in the attached image. Has anyone else had this problem? I've tried a factory data reset (which reverts the rooting) prior to re-attempting the update, but that didn't work either.
Note that this isn't the same error as that experienced by some 500 GB model users who had their devices bricked due to (according to Nvidia) a physical hardware issue.
That could be a bad download. If you download it again, and have the same issue, please report back.

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I tried a few times, even after a factory data reset, and it still had the same problem. In the end I downloaded the stock v1.4 images from Nvidia's website and flashed those via my PC terminal (and then spent several house reinstalling apps, reacquiring root etc). Hopefully it doesn't happen again with the next update.
I'd suggest mailing nvidia and openeng a ticket. Even if it's fine now, there may be a further problem that we don't know about now. It's better to have a ticket open earlier than later, sa they are more likely going to take you seriously and help quicker if it happens more than once for you. One thing I have learned over the years, is cover your butt. Contact as soon as possible, or they may not listen to you, or worse, blame you. Not Nvidia specifically, but I have been screwed because I didn't open tickets sooner.
I am having some problems that I think are software related due to the recent update to Nougat 7.1.1.
Shortly after updating on 2/15/2018, my Maxx 2 will no longer charge while powered on and when I charge it while powered off it will only charge to around 80%, give or take a couple of percentages. Before I give up on this phone (since from what I am reading, no one has been able to root this phone), I would like to try a reinstall of the software. I have posted on the Lenovo and Verizon forums and I can only find 1 other person that has had this problem, although I don't know if this problem occurred before or after the update.
Can someone on here walk me through the process of doing a reinstall? I am assuming that the installation software is still on my phone somewhere, along with the install command, isn't it?
Thanks in advance!!

Same Issue
I have the same issue on the same phone, issues started after the 7.1.1 update. I am going to try to the Verizon Software Update - Software Upgrade / Repair Assistant (Motorola) and use the repair option and see if that works. You can find the link to it through some searching on an engine. This sounds like it would be the was to reflash the software on the phone.
Used the tool to repair the installation, seems to have reflashed the phone, even went through the bootloader. Also, just finished charging the phone to 100%, with it powered on
Let us hope this works for the long term.
Thanks XD - I'll try the fix and see if I get the same results!!
Well - I tried the software fix 3 times and it didn't work for me. No change at all.
1st attempt I did the suggested re-install.
On the 2nd, I went ahead and did a factory reset install.
3rd try was the suggested install like the first try, but on a factory reset phone.
Thanks for trying!!
Ok
Hey there,
My friend downloaded and installed Color OS6 update. His phone got bricked. He has tried all the things but couldn't solve the issue yet. It's been more than a week. Can you please link me to any solutions.
Also, the official update to fix the issue, i.e., http://download.c.realme.com/osupdate/RMX1801EX_11_OTA_0210_all_YkJueYPOAFXQ.ozip isn't installing and displaying "Installation Failed" after waiting forever. Service Centre guys are saying that they will do it, but data will have to be wiped.
In order to fix the bootloop, data needs to be reformatted via the stock recovery, then only flash the latest OTA. Should work(at least for me).
So I've finally got to upgrade from A10 to A11. I was unable to follow the guides for doing local upgrades, because of my previously mentioned "No changelog" and "System Update Installation Failed" message the moment you selected the upgrade package. I tried multiple downloads and verified hashes, this wasn't a corrupted download. So I ended up having to Wipe data to get to a stock A10 and then upgrade using local upgrade. That was Sunday. Since then, I've rooted, restored my apps, lived happily on A11....for about 1-2days before I'd wake up a bootloop. The phone would just be sitting on the spinning Oneplus logo without me knowing why we got here. Even stranger, I had NoLimits installed, so I should be seeing that instead of Oneplus.
Attempting to fastboot boot any of my boot images still keeps me in a boot loop, not much to do other than to wipe and try again....So wipe, on A11 stock, root, restore apps and go on my way....Worked great yesterday. again all apps were restored, things were working, no issues. And then I woke up this morning to find issues with Facebook app (images not loading). Okay, whatever, something may be corrupt, just wait for an update from them. Multiple apps in Playstore need an update, great...do those. But then Oneplus Gallery refuses to update...hmmm. Catlog/Logcat refuse to open with insta-crashes. Facebook nolonger has the corrupt image issue, it just insta-crashes.......uh oh......maybe a reboot?.....rebooted and then stuck on NoLimits bootscreen for about 2 minutes....after 2 minutes it reboots and I'm back to being stuck on Oneplus boot image.
So I'm out of ideas now. about to wipe and go back to A10, because I can't for the life of me find a connection to all of this and its getting tedious to restore apps (especially 2fa apps).
Any help would be appreciated.
Hi!
I have had annoying bootloops when making a call.
It connects to a call and then boom, goes dark and reboots by its self. Very annoying.
I have 2 SIM cards on use, dont know If that matters.
Iam suspecting the network connection change during call -setting has something to do with it...
Hope there is an update coming soon to fix this.
Yea I have 2 sims as well (TMo and GoogleFi) so that's an interesting point. We finally now have dual-sim (US/Glo).
I'm currently testing out how long i can go with my current setup: Just A11 + Root + NoLimits....wait about 2-3days, then try LuckyPatcher (best way I know to remove ads), 2-3days, and then continue testing other ideas).
