Is there any camera app for CM12? like in touchwiz, i mean more advance than the CM camera app??!!
Google play is the place to try. Maybe google search for "the best camera".
There are lots of Top 10's about those kind of things.
Looking for an answer as well. What I'm really looking for is a camera app that can match the night mode of the touchwiz camera.
if i found great camera app, it will for sure missing the camcorder!!

Camera FV-5 And Cinema FV-5.
but it's a paid app. you know what to do already. (if you know what i mean)
but it has no front camera feature. so just use the normal aosp camera for front cam features.
that's what i'm using when i'm on AOSP Builds such as CM11,CM12,Carbon Rom etc.... :good:

OnePlus Camera is the best among those two for me! but Motorola is also good!

Found a really promising camera alternative for low light photography. App is called "A better camera."
What I really missed though is the touch to focus feature from the TW Camera in night mode. So far, every app I've tried won't work with touch to focus in night mode.

touch to focus actually works on Camera FV 5. but focusing on that camera/app is only at the center
Can I get 30 seconds shutter speed on my nexus 6p for taking star trails pictures?

it is not about rom or kernel, you need to find camera app, which may do that. i would suggest manual camera
Manual camera doesn't do it. I don't believe any app does at this time.

HTC camera does work. You might need to install the services. It might not offer 30 seconds but it had manual and raw. Plus it's a decent camera

I know that mostly Custom ROMs have Snapdragon camera, I was saying that mabye I'll try to use Camera FV-5 on some custom to see if there will be manual focus at least (I don't think there will be focus peaking tho). In MIUI installing FV-5 there's not even manual focus, instead on MIUI camera app there's manual focus and focus peaking too.

After Leaving MIUI 8 and choosing CM13 on my mi4i , i just felt miui camera app is awesome. A d after 2 weeks trying every 3rd party camera app, luckily i found a good alternative to this, and that is OPPO camera mod, you can find oppo camera app searching in threads. That works great but i have downloaded a oppo camera version that looks same as R7 camera app. You can try that searching in forums.

Probably I tried some Oppo camera with my Mi4, but I can't remember well.
I'll definitely give it a try, anyway I guess there will not be focus peaking feature.

Actually, Oppo camera app have more features than miui camera app, like HDR, HD pic (more sturations for cropping), slow shutter (lightning painting), Gif, doubke exposure etc etc... All you need is to download 2 apks, 1 for app 1 for plugins.. thats it. I HAVE UPLOADED 2 CAMERA APP INTERFACE SCREEN SHOTS. THATS Mi4i. CM13

Try footej camera from play store, to me its perfect and raw images are quite beautiful. I am using camera api 2

If you enable camera2 api, all apps that support it will work. Otherwise, only MIUI camera has it (proprietary api?).

Actually this is cute, haha. But I needed the original app only because of the RAW file format... I couldn't find any good app that shoots good raw photos. (If thats possible with our P9 Lite)

If you want RAW you can just use third party apps,our P9 lite supports RAW.Apps like lightroom or open camera should work.

I've been using lightroom app but I dont like it that much because its limited with the shutter speed of max 1 second which I found the stock app to be better than lightroom is.
And there isnt raw option in the open camera app. At least I couldnt find it...
And wanted the LG's camera only because of the RAW option but I couldnt install it. :/

Ok i just checked it.Open Open camera,go to settings,scoll down,tick use camera2 api,it will restart the app,then go to photo settings and you will see raw option

I installed RR Oreo custom ROM 32bit. I was wondering, If there was any ported camera either stock G4, Google or from any other device?
I did find a ported Google Camera for Oreo, but it was for the 64bit only. I am still searching, just asking to see if there are none.... So I don't waste time searching.
I found two cameras on the play store. One is Camera MX and the other is called Footej. Any one have an opinion on which works best on the Moto G4?

Cameringo camera starts as if it was zoomed in. It doesn't capture a wider area. I tried Cameringo, Camera MX and Footej and the capture is already closer to the the objects. As if it was already pre-zoomed and with the Moto Camera or the default you can get more in the picture. The only one that doesnt start zoomed in is Open Camera.

Its working now when set to HD. Thank you for letting me know. I will use Cameringo camera from now on. I think is the best option right now for Oreo Custom Roms other than Moto Stock Camera.

Tried the camera, but it doesn't save the pictures anywhere. Nothing on setting for save location.
