Hey guys,
as the title suggests, sometimes I cannot pull down the status bar in order to view notifications or turn on/off wi-fi, reading mode and so on. I couldn`t recognize a particular pattern when this will happen and it could (as of my knowledge) only be resolved by rebooting the phone, which kinda sucks. I`m on stock (Global Stable 10.3.6.0) with Magisk and unlocked bootloader, the last updates didn`t do nothing for me.
I wasn`t able to find anyone with the same issue on- or offline, so if anyone has a suggestion for me, that would be great.
Had similar issues with the RN5pro, but on a far less daily basis. Now my gf has the phone and it seems to have disappeared...
Maybe the rom's fault, try to flash xiaomi.eu developers rom, everything might be resolved there for you..

Thanks for the quick reply. Is it safe to flash the eu ROM regarding ARP? I bricked my RN5 by flashing an earlier eu ROM than I had on the device before. Didn't look into it further in order to avoid this issue...
Edit: Went to the xiaomi.eu page and found out that they are currently offering MIUI 10.5. So I guess I should be safe by flashing over 10.3.6. Any precautions for flashing? Like do I have to wipe data and so on?
Go here and read the latest release' thread, and I can confirm to you that flashing these roms in this site is totally safe and doesn't have anything to do with ARP because they are an updated roms and not old and abandoned..

I am having that very same issue, but this started with the MIUI global 11.0.4 Stable release. I found out that this happens when I am watching a video on netflix or any app that goes in full screen, and I try to pull down the status bar to adjust brightness, check notifications, etc. It changes the color and I am not able to pull it down anymore.
Did you find a way to fix this? Do note that this never happened in the previous version of MIUI that I had, 10.x.x (not sure now which specific version was).

Nope, sorry. To be honest, I had given up and that is exactly when the issue started to slowly disappear. It had nothing to do with the latest updates - I just stopped caring about it and I now sometimes get through the week without one single appearance. Unfortunately for you that's the best advice I can give
Try this.
I found a spot where The top is available check image and tell me If it works.

Same issue here
Also with MIUI 11.0.4
Hi everyone, I've started experiencing this issue after MIUI 11 update. I've just found a way to temporarily fix it: you have to go on "hide notch" in phone settings and switch between "hide and move bar" and one of the other two. Then you can switch back and the bar will work again. Actually it's a way to restart it. I hope they'll fix this soon though.

Hey all,
After CM12 became stable, I was eager to try it only to find my In-Call audio mute during Calls. A temporary solution was to reboot. But this only worked for the first 5 mins after the reboot.
After a lot of complaining (to no use, I might add :/ ) and scraping the bottom of the internet, I finally found the cause and a fix for this issue. The fix is permenent though not recommended due to some users reporting wakelocks.
So if you are really annoyed by this issue.. Read on:
WHAT/WHY?
The issue is caused by a bug in the Google Play Services, specifically the CheckInService. This background service activates whenever the device is connected to the Internet (3G/WiFi). This is a serious issue though irregularly occuring.
TEMPORARY FIXES:
Disable 3G/WiFi and Reboot
PERMENENT FIXES:
Download Disable Service app ( https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=cn.wq.disableservice ) from PlayStore.
Search for Google Play Services and disable the CheckInService specifically by unchecking the tick box.
Reboot

This should fix the In-Call audio of your device till Google fixes the CheckInService in Google Play Services.
I hope this helps all those affected and do reply with your findings and whether this solution worked for you.

You say bug in play services?
Same services in stock Firmware has no problem,.
It's a bug from services, 5.1.x or cm?
I use xt1068 with cm 12.1 and 1 sim, bug come 3. day after fresh install and full wipe
Reboot fix this again, how long? I report...

Try this and report back. It is a bug with CheckInService. Do not comment without trying. Thanks.
PS: I do not post without trying! I tried it and it worked for me. So I'm sharing.
Temporary fix, i don't disable WLAN vor 3g, reboot works by by me fine!
When bug come again, i will test your fix and report, but i think its to easy say only Google services!
Luk, shawn. luca or other devs can help here....

That is because after reboot the CheckInService isn't invoked right away... Whenever the service is invoked by the system, the bug occurs. Hence randomly the bug occurs.
Also CheckInService doesnt invoke when the device isn't connected to the internet.
Confirmed worked for me thanks!!

Hi XDA,
Before some days, I'd unlocked my Redmi 3S's bootloader.
To be true, I hate MIUI. So, when HridayHS made the AOKP ROM, I could not resist myself for flashing it on my phone.
So, I flashed it, but after flashing it, my Wifi got stopped.
Its address is appearing 02:00:00:00.
And, there's one more problem. My phone's sensors (accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor) are not working. They were working before I changed the ROM, but now, they are not working.
And, my mistake, I did not take the backup of stock MIUI ROM.
I have tried downloading the stock MIUI ROM from the official website and flashed it, but again...wifi not working. :'(
Kindly help.

Icarolo, kindly check PM. Can I have some files from your backup?
Flammenwerferx, nope buddy. I've already tried flashing it, but still wifi Mac address is 02:00....
I've even tried changing ROMs but this didn't solve the issue.
What to do?
Update: Wifi started working. What I did is, I'd a file named CM Wifi Fix which was for Xperia, I think. I extracted that zip and placed the files in my ROM and rebooted and it started working!
But still, sensors are not working.
Hi can you give me that file ?
I never had issue with the sensors...

How did you get the kernel to boot? What toolchain you used? I tried to boot the kernel with no changes after compiling from the sources given by Xiaomi but it doesn't boot. Could you tell me how were you able to get it booting?

Hi All,
So I have tried over the past couple of months - LOS, RR, SkyDragon and RR.
I was using LOS at the very beginning, the battery was way worse than expected. So far RR was my favorite but I can no longer cope with the constant network/signal issue (NOT MY WIFI) It is absolutely terrible.
The WiFi disconnects with ? - the sim ejects (only one) - and the general signal is piss poor. The battery however is top notch. Oh and any picture taken with stock camera has big green lines running down them.
I know no ROM will be perfect but some must be better than most.
Or am I - have I done something wrong (I am a hardcore techie/Cyber guy) So I like to think i know my stuff. Maybe I am missing a network file or something?
My current ROM is attached.

Are you clean flashing these ROMs? I've run LOS and RR (both official and unofficial) without any issues whatsoever. Running unofficial RR currently as my daily driver with no network or wifi drops. Try flashing the OOS 3.5.8 firmware (not the full ROM, just the firmware, link is in my signature), and then try to clean flash a ROM of your choice. Use the nano OpenGapps package (this will avoid installing Google Contacts, which is known to cause network drops).

Hi, Yeah I always fully wipe and do clean installs.. But not for the OTA updates (obviously)
Upon researching I have seen the Google Contacts thing mentioned a few times. I will give that a go. Thanks

Morning mate - so I did all of the above - to the letter. SAME PROBLEM
So, I will be on a WiFi call and after a couple of mins the connection will go - I move the phone away from my face and see crosses 'X' through WiFi and both sims - then it all comes back on... It's like all my signal(s) timeout or something. It really is frustrating but I DO NOT want to revert to stock.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you should take a look at paranoid android as they focus on stability, but they are still testing the oneplus 2 android 7 version so you'll have to wait a little if you want android 7.
I used to switch between ROMs because I wasn't satisfied, but I have settled for AospExtended. The offscreen gestures are still there and I like the customizability, especially being able to make the notifications menu have a blurred background. The latest version is 7.1.2.

First of all, thank you so much op, this is the rom for me...just what I was looking for... I dont care much for volte, so its not a big deal for me... Just one issue, my phone is getting a little warm in idle.. Not unuseable, but its not normal either... Clean flash, always do, only inatalled gapps and magisk...
Gonna let it rest for the night, than i'll report back...
Lost 17% of battery in two hours, with 37mn sot, wi-fi, Bluetooth and location on, low brightness...
No background apps except WhatsApp..
Phone always warm.. Gets really hot just with 3mn screen on (writing this post).
Love the ROM, but going to revert back to miui before my phone gets damaged.. after trying this ROM, I wont flash any other besides miui..
Hope the heating issue gets fixed and I will jump right back...

Yes, I was in the latest miui... I gave the ROM another spin and let it settle and looks like the issues are fading as time goes by.. I'll keep using it for sometime and will be updating here..
By the way, how do you get flashlight notification to work??

Hi all,
I've searched and haven't found anything related with Official LineageOS 18.1 on Max Pro M1 (X00TD) and because of that, I'm asking kindly if anyone here is using the LineageOs version.
What are the issues you've found so far?
Kind regards,
Carlos
There are some who use it, yes, including me:

And no problems so far. Well, except for some minor things that plague any LOS/Android.
Oh, some time ago I couldnt hear people on the phone: It was just blacking out now and then, sometimes even for a minute... but turned out that the carrier was to be blamed (since other people, even with dumb phones, reported that, too).
PS: If you are missing a thread proper for official LOS18.1 X00TD, yes, me, too! Perhaps we should start our own thread
Thank you so much, @SigmundDroid.
What a relief... I'm not the only one who misses an "official" LOS 18.1 specific thread for X00TD
Since you are already on LOS 18.1, can you please help me with these questions:
- What was the recovery you used?
- Did you root the device?
- What about bluetooth and dual SIM?
(I don't need it rooted anymore and I think some apps, like banking/payments, might not work on rooted devices...)
Again, thanks for sharing your feedback.
PS: I still consider LineageOS the only viable alternative to the stock ROM (since the first Cyanogen editions).
Kind regards,
Carlos

I am actually quite happy someone else asked that, too. In the ROM thread are so many, many, many things but THE REAL MCCOY is missing.
At first I thought it's me but no, it's not me, it's not you, it's them

Had TWRP at the beginning but this year I tried the LOS recovery. It worked and I was too lazy to get back to TWRP again. However, was always nice and easy in TWRP to do backups, I miss that a lot... so at LOS19 I might change back (if LOS recovery does not improve there).
Yes, I did root. Don't need money things and won't do it because I consider phones inherently unsafe.
Fun fact regarding banking: EU's PSD2 demands different channels for safe payments, seems rather stupid to me to have both "safe" channels on the same single device. Sounds to me like an accident waiting to happen.
And just for AdAway alone, I would root again.
Bluetooth: Hmm, no hassle here - headphones work, our BT-thermostat works, sending files works. Did I miss one?
Dual SIM: Yes, does work nicely. Except that it can be a pain to keep things separated - just switched the main SIM but far too often, I still send SMS with the wrong number (and pay per message instead of using other card's flat) but that blame is on me, I guess
Oh, and one more thing: I also don't use GApps (Google IS evil) and get along fine with fdroid/aurora. Some stupid apps insist on google's framework like ebay but that's not worth it to have the entire barrage of google's spyware, eh?

Oh, forgot one thing regarding rooting:
magisk requires patching... and with every single update (or perhaps I am doing it wrong). That can be quite the pain.
Hello, I'm using LOS 18.1 (official), everything works for me except NFC, everything worked on the drain.
Hey! Using 18.1 here too, very impressed so far. Everything seems to be working well, I passed SafetyNet too, so I shouldn't run into any problems. I just wish I could remove that pesky "Unlocked bootloader" warning at the beginning.

Got ahead of myself --- found a bug with the screen recorder. It seems the microphone volume is very very quiet compared to the device volume. If I'm only using the microphone, it works fine. Not sure what this is about. Will be checking this out more thoroughly.
