Do a nandroid backup (Backup section, choice ALL the voices)(your choice)
Do all wipes (except internal memory and ext SD, Wipe section)
Tap Install voice
Select the rom and then "more zip" and choice gapps
Swype to flash
Reboot
Enjoy!

About Project:
Cardinal-AOSP is a Custom ROM which was initially based on AOSPB, then we changed our mind and rebased it to AOSP-RRO, to get better compatibility with most of the devices. And now we are based on AOSP on oreo.
The main aim of this ROM is to bring stock AOSP experience as much as possible while maintaining performance, smoothness and good battery backup.

decryption issue
after updating this rom, twrp asks for a decryption password which i didn't set. now i don't have access to my internal storage !!!

This is basically pin/password you have kept previously in your phone while flashing twrp , try that if you remember..

I tried the only pattern I use in my phone for a few times without success (access to my internal storage)
I think after updating this rom twrp aked me about installing a new udated version (3.2.1-0 before I had twrp-3.0.3-0).
is there a possib. to deactivate decryption for twrp? or at least to read (view) this partition?

I had d same problem....after a certain number of tries....it unlocks ...(I tried any random combination ... except the one I had set before) and it opens after 3-4 tries....

Why are there two threads for this same ROM now?
I was waiting for the December 20th update but it looks like it never arrived. Any ETA?
I may just go back to stock because the current 8.0 ROMs have a lot of nuisance bugs inside and I'm not seeing much progress on here over the past 6 weeks.

I have no clue what went wrong but it doesn't get past the restoring screen. Everything is set up and when it comes to the point where it supposed to restore apps it just stays there forever. Any clue what might've gone wrong?

Can't install this ROM using either Orange fox recovery or Batik recovery. I get a treble incompatibility error when I know both recoveries support both treble and non treble roms

I've used treble twrp, orange fox, and Batik recovery. All 3 of them support treble ROMs yet I get the same error if I try to install this ROM.
I'm doing a completely full clean wipe of system, data, cache, dalvik, and vendor. Then I try to install potato ROM and I get the compatibility error.
I'd appreciate any help in figuring this out because I've no problem flashing almost any other ROM
