Stuck on emergency recovery screen T-380 - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

Hi everyone. While I was attempting to root my tablet I ran in to a problem. It turned out since I had updated to 8.1 it had an RMM state that's prenormal, which makes it impossible to root. I found a guide to use Miracle Box to downgrade it to 7.1 where I'd be able to root. However in this process when I saw Miracle Box was done I decided to unplug the tablet. Well it turns out the tablet was still loading it, so unplugging it caused an error. Now whenever it boots up I'm stuck on the error screen which says to use the emergency recovery mode on smart switch. Well, smart switch won't find my device. Neither will kies. I've tried downloading 2 different stock roms for my exact device and using odin to install them, but I get an error on odin and it fails. I have tried two different versions of odin too, 3.12 and 3.13.

I have no idea what else to do here to get my device back in usable state. Please help!

What error are you getting? There is no picture of your tablet or the error. Also did you try patched Odin? If SmartSwitch won't recognize it do you have the samsung USB drivers installed from here? https://developer.samsung.com/mobile/android-usb-driver.html

[Q] Errors while using Odin

What was my original post is not relevant anymore. Im stuck with a AT&T logo after using the odin3 one-click downloader. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989
Somebody who can help me with this would be SUPER nice.
what does that Asian looking error message say?
seems like you are having some windows problem, it's probably missing some files
ok..ok but what? Should I reinstall Samsung drivers? (I have KIES installed)
I just updated my windows this morning.. anything to do with that?
Appreciate the reply.. but need a little more direction at where to go.
ok guys got a new problem. After searching for hours I found a thread wich contained the *solution* I thought was I looking for. It was the odin3 one click downloader (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=731989)
Ofcourse that was about american i9000 phones and not for my phone. So now im stuck with a phone that doesnt do anything besides showing a AT&T logo for 5 seconds on and off.
anyone that can help me. Or did I just majorly f*ck it up?
Im also getting this problem, but I was able to flash my firmware to JM5 after a couple of retries, still unable to narrow down the real problem.. there are times I can reflash or get this error with the very same firmware.. what gives?

download a JG8 rom from samsungfirmware website, and then use Odin3 to flash it again in Download Mode
remember to select repartition and use the 512 pit file
These errors seem to be pretty random, for the past week I was able to flash w/o seeing this error and now its back again.. Im currently at JM2 right now and I need to flash back to JG6 w/c i cant since im getting the error again.. anybody know what that error above means ?
EDIT:
Right now im using WXMJ2, flashing to XFJM6,JG8,JG5,JM5 gives me the above error.. already tried it all of my USB ports, power cycled the phone and the computer.. I am able to reflash JM2 over and over ( sometimes I get the error ) my battery level is at 95%, any know a fix or whats causing this error ?
Heres how I normally flash w/c has been going great since the past week execpt today, put the phone in download mode, run odin and select the required files and tick repartition, connect the phone and click start when a com# appears.
Is this some sort of big mystery ??

[Q] Bricked i9505 Can not go into recovery and Cannot flash stock firmware.

I'm all LG guy, so appoligize in advance with stupid methods Samsung devices have to follow for the rom flashing/installation. I have flashed a number of Samsung Android phones in the past using Odin so I know how that works.
A friend of mine got his i9505 16-GB failing to boot while being stuck at Samsung Galaxy S4 logo screen. When I tried to put it into stock recovery so I may factory reset, it was always stuck at Blue text of Booting Recovery.
I followed word-by-word of this guide to flash a stock firmware from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2265477
I even have the i9505 pit file from the downloads in the same guide above. I'm using Odin 3.07 and I have even used 3.09 and 3.10, all give me same results.
As PDA, I am using I9505XXUGNH8_I9505OJVFNG1_I9505XXUGNH8_HOME.tar (As his phone came with Saudi Arabia. Also, the phone was running stock firmware)
The process terminates at
Code:
Re-Partition Operation Failed
As PDA, I am using I9505XXUGNH8_I9505OJVFNG1_I9505XXUGNH8_HOME.tar (As his phone came with Saudi Arabia. Also, the phone was running stock firmware)
And on my phone screen, I get:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I have used Original Samsung Cable, result is the same. I have used even my LG G2's USB Cable, result is still the same. Odin always fails after the "Re-Partition Operation Failed" Error.
If I try to flash it without pit file, it says "There is no PIT Partition".
If the not being able to boot happened suddenly, then it's probably a hardware failure.
Try installing Kies on your computer. It will install latest drivers. Then close Kies and Kies agent in your processes.
Use another USB port on your computer. Remove battery of your phone for 10s.
Then try again.
I had also the same warning so I doubt there's a hardware failure. If it were, you'd probably be unable to go into download mode.

Secure boot error after reverting to KitKat via TWRP backup

Hey everybody! Please, I need urgent help!
So, yesterday, I upgraded my G2 D802 from rooted stock KitKat to the official European Lollipop, v30b. Before that, I made a TWRP backup of everything.
So, I rooted Lollipop, installed TWRP, and was about to install the new Xposed for Lollipop. Then, **** started freaking out and "LGSmartCover" kept crashing continuously, making it virtually impossible to navigate the UI.
Soooooo, I decided to revert back to KitKat via the TWRP backup.
Everything SEEMED fine, but now I cannot boot. I get the LG logo, then this message appears:
ERROR : boot certification verify
[800]_______________________
[850]
[900] Secure booting Error!
[950] Cause : boot certification verify

I do not seem to be able to enter download mode or recovery either.
My computer does recognise it as "qhsusb_bulk" when plugged in, though.
What do? I'll be eternally grateful if somebody can help me solve this.
UPDATE: I somehow managed to get into this "Hardware key control mode" by pressing and holding all three hardware buttons at once, while plugging the phone into the computer.
UPDATE2: Somehow, I managed to boot into Download mode, after doing the same thing over and over again! Trying to recover via LGMobileSupportTool now..

same error
How did you solve it ?
Hi,
I had a similar problem and I managed to repair the phone by using the TOT method with LG FlashTool v1.8 by reaching download mode.
Good luck!
If you can fully enter download mode(first screen and then the second screen),then try to flash a stock rom with LG Flashtool(KDZ method) or TOT method.
Since you were using TWRP,official LG Update tools will kill your phone if you try to flash the stock rom with them.
i have the same problem and i dont know how to reach download mode. when i connect my phome to the pc, it shows the same secure boot error. any help?

Supposing the drivers are installed in windows, you need to have the phone plugged in to comp. and then hold volume-up+power until you get the "download mode" on your phone's screen

[Q] Help / Stuck [D800] - Can't get computers to see phone in Download Mode

I've probably used the LG Flash Tool 10 times the past week on both my home and work computer with no problems. Last night I flashed the KK bootloader and a stock 5.0.2 ROM (after tot'ing back to 4.4.2, rooting, etc).
It hangs at the LG logo and that's where I'm stuck. I tried going into Download Mode, but suddenly both of my computers won't see the phone and give me an error in Device Manager. I've tried uninstalling / reinstalling the drivers as well. Why in the world would that happen unless somehow Download Mode was corrupted, possibly? But it goes into Download Mode fine, and appears to look right...
I've tried getting into recovery but can't. When it should load up TWRP (after telling the G2's "stock" recovery screen I do want to reset), I get the green spinning Android (not the red exclamation) for a second, then it tries to boot up.

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Any advice would be appreciated as I've never run into this before.
So when the green Android popped up, I tried to hit a combination of the volume and power keys and WAS able to get into recovery. Unfortunately, it appears, somehow, TWRP was overwritten by the stock recovery. I have no idea how that could've happened. Or does stock recovery technically stay in place since this is "loki'd" and not actually unlocked? And if so, is there some way to get back to TWRP that I'm unaware of?
To add to the weirdness, when I plug it in to charge, it doesn't pull up the battery like it usually does when powered off, it just tries to boot up again...
If I could just get the computers to recognize it again...
Installing the LG PC Suite got my drivers to a point where it could recognize it while in Download Mode. MTP still didn't work, but that didn't matter for Download Mode. Not sure what happened, but at least I was able to flash it back again.

Custom Binary (SYSTEM) Blocked by OEM lock

hey guys i recently had an update on my s10+ and mid through the update the phone just powered off(it was plugged to the charger) and since then ive been stuck on a blue screen saying i have to use the emergency recovery function in the smart switch pc app so i downloaded the app and tried to do that but the app wont recognize my phone. i searched all over the internet i tried flashing with odin a previous version and even the version it was trying to update to but it all failed. it gets stuck around 50% through the install and just sits there for hours without continuing. i am hopeless and have no idea what else i can do i even took the phone to a repair shop and they also failed to fix this problem. my last resort would be changing motherboard but i doubt its worth it. anyone has ideas what else i can do in order to fix this issue?

Not sure if you've tried this but maybe it will work...
1) Hold bixby, volume down and while holding these, put the usb-c cable in the s10 when connected to the PC. This will (hopefully) get you into download mode if the other method fails
2)If Odin is still recognizing your phone, you have hope.
3)Make sure you use the latest version of Odin. I have previously tried to flash a new firmware with an old Odin and failed
4)Once you have the right Odin, try flash the latest stock firmware you can find. You may not be able to downgrade once upgraded
