LG V20 LS997 no Field Test in Hidden Menu after hard reset - LG V20 Questions & Answers

After reset my lg v20 ls 997 when I go to thre hidden menu (5689#*997#) I can no more see the Field Test setting.
instead there is now Log Service

I have never seen the Field Test option using that menu, but I do have it when using the Hidden Menu apk found in this thread, although you may have to be on an older software version for it to work (mine is LS997ZV7).

Root menu access to Diagnostic version (.1122)

SO I upgraded to nodo and had to hard rest. I updated my phone with official nodo release for At&t. I did ##634# and it would not download the previous version of the diagnostic program; only the new version that does not let you get to the root menu. I have a work around for the moment with the new version of the diagnostic program version (.1122)
in the new diagnostic program type *#32489# after that you can use the back button on screen three times and you are at the root menu of the diagnostic program. Maybe someone might be able to find a direct input number but for now this is to my knowledge the only way.
Update- All other updates and codes are in conjunction with the diagnosis codes thread.
when trying to access audio menu type in the following, since its a slightly different code than the previous version.
Increase your default volume.
*#0002*28345#
Click Get under the Device Gain (max/min)
In the first box keep the number 7
In the second box put 16000
In the third box put 0
Click Set
Click Start
Click the home button.
Restart your phone. To verify the setting took click the get button and it should show your values.

If you have root, just open Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Secret Codes' > scroll down to *#27663368378# for Service Main Menu or *#197328640# for Debug Screen. Tap and select "Launch 0' to launch.
If you don't have root, open Dialer, enter *#0011#, Menu > Back item (not Back key), Menu > Key Input > Q0, wait some seconds...
maybe
download this app scroll to the bottom click additional info then phone information then scroll to the middle of the page on drop down box and try one of the settings im not on a gsm carrier so im not sure which one
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.cc.signalinfo&hl=en
or flash a rom
*#0011#
Menu>Back

If that doesn't help, you may need root and use Phone INFO ★Samsung★ app > Menu > 'Secret Codes' to launch the Hidden Service menu.

Before hand i am very sorry that I bump an old thread however, this pertains to this and i can't find any info on my current issue and following you has got me the farthest along with my problem.
My galaxy note 4 reads no service, so I tried the *#0011# approach (no root) could not find the menu, with the input method
Then I rooted it and used your app and was now able to access the menu.
However I still can not find the run ping test option.
My firmware is version 5.1.1
Model: SM-N910T

I am trying to fix it so my phone no longer reads No service, It seems like the fix is to go into service menu and run a ping test from basic info, but thats just what i have read in other forums.

Note 4 AT&T No Preferred Network Mode in Settings

Hi Guys,
i have a problem with my Note 4. I attached a screenshot and you can see that there is no Preferred Network Mode option in it. I also try the code (*#*#4636#*#*) for hidden menu to change it but nothing happens coz when i changed the setting from GSM/LTE/Auto to GSM/CDMA/LTE/Auto and go back from the menu it will be revert automatically.
Can someone fixed it or have any solution???
Is there any one to help ????
I believe it requires a build prop or csc code edit that requires root for the settings menu but the service menu method should work as long as you do it correctly...and I say correctly not assuming your doing it wrong but to encinuate that there is a certain way you have to enter the keys..... Google it and you should be able to find a video

How to enter the ServiceMode in T585C?

Hi,
I have a T585C with Android 6.0.1 (version=T585CZCU2AQH2). It seems the well known secret code (e.g. *#...) doesn't work anymore on it. I can enter the Service Mode using Shortcut Master. But I prefer to not using any third-party tools. Anyone who can help me?
Another question is: is there a way to reset all settings in Service Mode? The "NV Rebuild" function seems to have no effect... I did some changes previously. But I'm not sure if they have been all set back to their original values...
Thanks!
regarding the reset settings. I found a simple way that just use the nv_data backup file to replace the current used one in /efs partition.
but still have no idea how to enter the service mode via a graceful way...
