Download pending... Infinitely on Google play store - Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Questions & Answers

So I have a redmi note 7 which i purchased locally on a store in Europe (so I assume it a European or international Rom- not sure if this is important).
I'm using stock, never rooted/unlocked so far.
Everything seems to work fine
Set up the phone smoothly, no hassles
But... Whenever I'm using play store to download any app I keep getting stuck on "download pending" message..
Yes I did my research: every time I want to install or update something ( always through play store) the only thing that seems to work is to go to "app info"
And delete all app data.
Reopen the app wait for a couple of seconds and then install/update.
Which is frustrating after a certain point.
I'm sure there's a better, more permanent way...
Anyone?

Remove your SD card and try again, sometimes your SD card can prevent apps downloading from Playstore!

I don't have a SD card installed

first check if there is any data caps on wifi or mobile networks , if not clear google play store data and it should work

try clear data app, and then delete your google account, open play store and login again when the application asks for it

Doesn't really work either...
But what I found to work is have wifi disabled-only data on then I have an option to "download now" and then turn on WiFi again and by a "miracle" the download continues...
Or when I download new apps while I have updates pending, I have to cancel the first "new" app for the updates to " kickstart" and then "reinstall" the above.
Kind of frustrating but
Most of the times this works

I think I found the bug or at least where its located... Kind of..
So whenever I'm trying to install a new app or update an existing one I get this "download pending" message..
First I stop the install/update them I go the "installed apps" on play store and I can still see some apps downloading pending despite I've just cancelled all downloads whatsoever...
Now I press the "x" to cancel the supposed update ( which never takes place because there's not an actual update) .
I notice that for a time period everytime I press the "x" some other installed apps randomly appear to "download pending".
After I start looking for all the reappearing "x" and pressing them then I go to the updates or the new app I want to install and proceed with installation without any further problems...
Until I have to install/update some time in the future...
Does this make any sense?

I had same issue on Redmi Note 7, too. I had LineageOS 16 and Gapps Nano (via TWRP). I tried to resolve this problem with everything I could find on google. Finally I did it with refleshing Gapps but to version Micro.

[Q] Installation stops directly

Hello,
Last month after reading allot about it I finally installed Android NAND on my HTC HD2. After several ROM's I ended up with TyphooN CyanogenMod 7. Works (almost) like a charm. I can not get one thing working. Installation of some market apps.
For instance Google Maps or name another Angry Birds. When I search for them it says it is not yet installed so I go to install. It already shows the check-box "Allow automatic updating" (but the box can not be checked). Then I go to install and OK and it shows "Your item will be downloaded" and a download icon in the notification bar. But half a second later the icon is gone and the app is not installed. What to do?
I've tried searching several forums, but to no avail. Somewhere I've found the market app cache should be deleted, but this does not work. I've tried wiping and reinstalling the ROM, but it does not work. The only way I get it to work is to Google for the app and install outside the market. But than I don't get updates. I had the same problem with Facebook, but last week after the last time I wiped the phone, it installed correctly. Could it be the apps are not yet Android 2.3 compatible?

I am pretty sure both of them are 2.3 compatible, because I have them installed and they're working
But anyway, I had the same problem long time ago, it might be a Google Account problem. If you go to privacy policy (or however it is spelled in English, it's the icon with the fence) there is a checkbox where you should uncheck, because Google offers you to save your data on their servers. That never worked for me.
You could also try to uncheck every box of your Google account in the account settings..
Nice try
But does not work. Unchecked sync with server:
Tried to install maps/angry birds -> Fail
Cleared cache, Tried to install maps/angry birds -> Fail
Cleared cache, Reboot, Tried to install maps/angry birds -> Fail
So this looks like it's not the problem
Anybody?
Starting to be a hassle. Also some other games like "Pew pew" do not install from Android Market.

Are you sure Play store account is for the NX7 and not another Android device? I am using the same account for NXS and NX7 without any trouble. Just a thought.

I've had this numerous times on my HTC One S but not yet on the Nexus, the last time I was suffering on my HTC I discovered that if I "forgot" my Wifi network and re-registered it sorted it out, it hasn't happened again since then so I can't guarantee it as a fix but worth a try.
Go to settings in the app drawer, scroll down to "Apps" and when the windows load choose the tab that says all. Find Google play store and force stop it, clear the apps cache and data and reboot the device. Then run a Google sync and try the play store again and let me know if you get that error message or a different error message or if it works.

I would try fc Google play, clear data then also in apps fc Google services framework, clear cache and data. Try Google play and you should get an error. Then reboot and try it.

This worked perfectly for me on my GS3, thanks man! My problem was caused by restoring back to an ICS Rom from a JB one. Google Play seemed to think my device was still on JB for some reason and kept throwing me JB updates that were in fact invalid for my ICS device. I did everything else suggested and this was the only fix that worked, no more invalid updates.
If there's anyone that didn't work for, try installing it from the google play webpage on a computer. That's what sorted it out for me.
It's a known issue which is caused by a play store update.
Just keep trying and it will work, but Google will fix this soon.

no, it´s not, i´m still getting this error, tried every possible solution, even fully wiping, and nothing seems to work.
The same problems since 4.3
I am having the same problem invalid package file since I updated my Nexus 4 to JB 4.3.
I had tried every single tip I had found but useless. Some apps update well others dont.
Usualy the small ones are updated and the big one arent. I have being thinking ifthe problem is linked to the download manager. I have poor conexion and no so fast, and I have noticed the download progress bar behaving erratic up and down...
Any help or idea?

Reflash a stock rom, link https://dl.google.com/dl/android/aosp/occam-jdq39-factory-345dc199.tgz. Here is how you do it http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312.
As far as I searched, these are the solutions:
- check your phone date ("The SSL certificate contains a expiration date which would be compared against the system date of the Android system. If the system date is too far in the past or in the future, the validation would be failed, thus the connection cannot be established. This is a security measures of the HTTPS connection, so check your system date next time encountering such strange error message." as stated here)
- root and delete the file, as rabbit140 said
- do a factory reset
I've also found:
1. Open Settings.
2. Select Applications.
3. Select Manage Applications.
4. Tap the All tab, then scroll down and select Google Play Store.
5. Select Clear cache.
6. Back out of the screen and select Download Manager (May also be listed as “Downloads”).
7. Select Clear data.
8. Also clear data for Google Services Framework, Google Apps, Google Talk, and Checkin Service. Some users are reporting they had to clear data for the Browser app as well. You may not see all of these apps listed on your particular phone.
-------------------------------------------------------OR----------------------------------------------------
1) Remove sim card.
2) Go to settings->applications and clear everything (not just google apps)one by one.
3) Reboot the device
4) And add your google account.
Dunno if this can help.
Remove Sim card and go to backup and reset and do a factory data reset.
Than put your Sim card back in once you boot back up.

All I did is I reflashed stock rom as @gee2012 suggested and it worked like a charm..

[Q] Play Store fc AND insuffecient space

Ok, I have read for about 3 hours now on this issue, but I think mine is a little different.
It started when google play was FC everytime I opened it, or an app that had a connection to the play store(a game with purchases, etc). It will FC TWICE everytime at least when opening up an app such as Marvel War of Heroes
Ok, now today I needed an update for an app, Deadmans Cross....... I couldn't get in play store, so had a friend load it to dropbox for me....... I then couldn't hit the install button so I uninstalled original version of the game before realizing I just need to take my screen filter off.
Ok, should be no problem now. I then proceed to install the downloaded apk, and it tells me that I have insuffecient storage and gives me a popup saying "cancel or manage storage" When I click on manage storage, it takes me to the app list in the device settings. Titanium backup WOULD NOT restore the app either.
I feel that these two things are related. I have tried the lucky patcher, and tried looking for icons not matching the apk in the data area...... I did end up deleting titanium backup file I shouldn't of, which caused titanium to now fc, so I hastely uninstalled that, downloaded new version from online, AND NOW THAT SAYS not enough storage.
I AM able to download and install several apk's. I have put lucky patcher and a cache cleaner on the device since the problem started and they went on the device with ease.
Why is titanium and deadmans cross(which is a large file, but I have 20gb open)

Google Play Insufficient Storage

Got my OP8P a week ago. I have since rooted and installed Nethunter and have had a great time
Recently started getting the error that i have "insufficient storage" and google play will no longer install any apps. Even if i delete an app it says it cant install.
Now im stuck without two apps i wanted.
I have cleared cache and storage on google play and still the error persists. I have restarted numerous times.
If i download the APK it installs fine
I have 160GB free on my phone so its a bit disappointing
Any ideas?

Check under settings (within phone) / apps / Google play / permissions / storage
Also does it have the right to install apps.
Guessing you're rooted, turn on systemless and reboot.
So it has all needed permissions. And I've already installed a few apps from the store
I tried the "systemless" from magisk and rebooted...no dice
So weird, it randomly started working today. I can now download apps off google play.
I nearly cried tears of joy.
To all concerned i did nothing out of the ordinary besides install APK's manually from apkpure.com
Interestingly enough when i downloaded spotify it wouldnt open. just kept crashing
after downloading from google play it opened right up
Glad you got it sorted! cheers
Well just when i thought i was in the clear....
it came back. but worse this time
Now when i get that error my phone seems to loose its storage altogether
by that i mean once it says insufficient storage on google play my pictures will ALL disappear
if i go to the file explorer it tells me there is NOTHING on my phone at all
if i reboot it will start working again but then will usually fail once i get an error regarding the oneplus system service
still trying to figure this out. i may roll back to Oxygen OS 11 (vs. 11.0.2.2)

It is now affecting me outside of the play store. I cant take pictures and when i use file explorer (the oneplus app not root file explorer or any third party app) it says i dont have any files at all
This can only be fixed with a restart and it seems to come back at random times. hasnt done it it a while but im sure it will
