I know Google mentioned the 6P can charge quickly, but I don't recall hearing anything saying "QuickCharge 2.0 compatible". If it is compatible, which accessories are recommended? Based on a quick Amazon search, I've found:

for the car charger, here is my recommend.
You don't need to get another type c cable, just plug and charge.

This phone supports USB 3.1 and USB Type-C so therefore it supports the new usb power delivery spec which is capable of up to 100w. If I were to bet money, I would say google is referring to this as "quick charging", not to be confused with Qualcom's implemntation.

Google has stated it does not support QuickCharge 2.0 but just the faster charging that USB C allows for.

Not all USB type c devicess have to support 3.1 and power delivery. The 6p supports neither.

You are correct, some tech sites were originally posted that this phone supported USB3. Its now been confirmed that its only USB 2.

You say that the 6P doesn't support "power delivery". How is Google providing 15W to the phone via it's Type-C charger? From what I understand, the pins for Vbus in the Type-C cable/plug is the only way to provide that power? As you can see, I'm a little confused.

Now I'm totally confused... so this doesn't support the same quick charging that's in the current line of micro USB phones, such as the Note 5 and S6? And it doesn't take advantage of the newer USB type C technology that allows for faster charging? So how the heck does it provide a "quick charge" for a quick boost in battery?

I think the wikipedia page may have been missing something important in what I quoted from them. That "Power Delivery 2.0" doesn't have to be supported for a Type-C cable. Based on the wattage of the new chargers though it does look like Power Delivery 2.0 is being used, just not the full 100 watts that Power Delivery 2.0 does support, but it's definitely over the 7.5 watt limit of usb 3.0.
What's important to note is that Power Delivery 2.0 can be supported on Type C cables with usb 2.0.

I have 3 QC 2.0 adapters, and 1 QC 2.0 car charger. Luckily, I did just purchase this http://amzn.com/B0146FK3G0 for $12 using a coupon code. This should charge the Nexus 6P at 15W since it's a native USB-C charger, with an additional QC 2.0 port. Just need to find another wall adapter now.

The specs say that the Type-C port only does 5V/2.4A (12W) so you're not going to get fast charging off of that on your 6P (which needs 15W). You need to find something that does 5V/3A over Type-C.

it is not a cheap one . but compared to apple macbook charger, it is a better deal.
Moreover, now you are confirming that it will charge the 6P also, i think it will better than getting a spare charger for each device.

this is excellent for those who are planning to get a USB C power bank as it is possible to charge it through a mico-usb or USB C ports. For sure the type C will charge the power bank faster.

With all the returns and obtaining of phones I've amassed a nice stockpile of Samsung fast chargers and a few Samsung USB C cables(and adapters).
I've read before that USB C allows for non standard use of cables by manufacturers so I'm wondering if anyone has tried or knows if it will be an issue using the said chargers/cables (yes I know the Samsung chargers are only QC 2.0 spec).
I have a QC 3.0 car charger I got from Aukey during a sale. I have some Aukey USB A to USB C cables too that work fine with my Note 7 too.
Trying to see if I need to slowly replace my Samsung chargers with official QC 3.0 wall chargers (will need at least 2)
Here at work I am using my Note 7 charger setup. Left LG flat cable at home.

It's adaptive fast charger and does either 5.0v @ 2A or 9.0v @ 1.67A so 10w or 15w respectively
All QC are backwards compatible. QC 3 will know you are using QC 2 and charge at the rate of QC 2. If you use a QC 3 charger and have a QC 2 device the device will only draw QC 2. So you have nothing to worry about as long as they are QC compliant

I am curious if any of you have tried third party CABLES for your Le Pro 3 charging. I purchased a pack from Amazon and found that none of these charge the phone with any kind of urgency. A thirty minute drive delivered 4% battery, on a QUICK CHARGE CAR CHARGER. With the OEM cable, I would have gotten 30-40%, based on my testing thus far.

I too thought that all usb c cables are the same. Are you sure you were using quick charge 3.0 charger?
Yuppers. Sadly, I'm positive. I used the OEM brick this morning, and received 2% in 10 minutes. This is massively low compared to the OEM cable. The car is also a quick charge that typically charges my phone upwards of 40% on my daily commute. This did closer to 3%.
The o ly factor that has been changed is the cable.
Sounds like you got a bad cable. Return it and buy one that is approved by Benson Leung.
Agree with NiHaoMike. Try Anker Powerline Cables.

I'm still waiting for my x720.
And access to Anker products is actually quite difficult here in Norway. I've ended up ordering both Tronsmart and Choetech cables. Both approved by Benson Leung.

Is it possible that the issue is with the type C cable being a 2.0 vs 3.0 USB? I am noticing that my order contained USB 2.0 to USB C...WHILE OTHER USB C cable show 3.0 and 3.1
I am using Tronsmart and Choetech USB-C cables from amazon with no problem.
QC 2.0 chargers also seem to work quite well for fast charging.

Has anyone been successful in finding a 30+ watt Power Delivery USB C charger that also supports QuickCharge 3.0? Apparently the G6 is extremely picky and only accepts PD from a few chargers. Since I'm permanently travelling with this setup I don't mind if it's a charger with just 1 output.

This site tests many qc and pd chargers with the lg g6 - search.
Anyways, LG G6 works fine with both types because it's built-in.
As long as you have a compatible PD charger, you'll be fine in the future with other devices, too. No need for a QC charger.

I'm familiar with their articles and it is exactly there that I learned most PD chargers DON'T work with the G6. Furthermore I've been contacting many companies and most agree on those findings.
For pocket-sized single port 30+ Watt PD chargers that DO work so far I have found:
Anker PowerPort III Mini (30W)
Choetech Q6006 (61W)
Choetech Q4004 (60W)
ZMI zPower Turbo HA-712 (65W)
UGreen CD127 (30W)
UGreen CD207 (45W)
Mu One (45W)
There's a few of which the company says it won't work while the manufacturer says it does:
RAVPower PD Pioneer RP-PC120 (30W)
RAVPower PD Pioneer RP-PC112 (61W)
Some of these are "rather exotic" and you'll find zero reviews. Interesting but not surprising was finding out that most of these are just made by one single company in Shenzhen. They just put your company specific logo there. So that's probably also the reason why the marketing pics on Amazon look amazingly similar.

Manufacturers of PD chargers also need to pay for a Quickcharge license and most likely will advertise this feature then. At least there should be a Quickcharge 1 compatible mode with 5v 2amps, which works for the G6. I had bought a QC3 (not PD) charger which wouldn't work properly with my QC1 devices, so i left my trusty old QC1 5port 8A (total) Anker charger in place.

I'm awaiting the arrival of the Anker PowerPort III Mini. Anker told me it would support fast charging for the G6 and so does their C to C PowerLine III cable. Let's see how long they keep working. This remark is not specifically meant for Anker products but I've read many horrible stories about PD chargers and cables in general.
