I've just called my bride and sound quality is noticeably clearer than my pervious Redmi Note 4 which cost the same 3 years ago so you could say I'm totally satisfied.

Not just call drops.
Many times, the opposite party just can't hear me. It is just as if I muted my microphone, but I can hear them clearly. It just happens randomly.
Call quality is exelent at all and i like it.

Every call starts with a hissing noise for first 2 seconds, then the auto noise cancellation kicks in. Call quality is great and clear. No noise.

I have no problems with the call Quality everyone can hear me just fine I can hear them just fine I would like to add that I'm using call recorder and the quality of the recordings are much better than the v30 for some reason. I had issue with the V 30 with low volume on the other end and my voice sounding a little thin and if I turned up the gain it was too loud causing problems on playback. So far call recorder works perfectly and is clear as a bell on this phone.

Good point. My dad (age 81) complains about my OnePlus7Pro. Is this phone better? How is the call quality when you talk head free?
I have a strange case for this problem, my father has a Redmi Note 10 Pro Max, when we video call with me, the sound is always low (not clear) but with other smartphones the sound is clear. But this happened only when I had a video call with my dad, I don't know if it's a fault with my redmi 9 or my dad's smartphone.

I am using this device(Indian Version called Mi 10i) since last 2 days.
No complaints with Network reception while on a call, it seems excellent.
The Call quality is unexpectedly Loud and clear, and the party on the other end can hear my voice quite clearly, no issues, with it.
This is the first time I am experiencing such good clarity and loudness from earpiece speaker of a Xiaomi device. I also have a Redmi Note 7, and the earpiece is not that loud on that phone.

I've been using Galaxy m21 for a week now.. I have to admit this phone has great call quality. call speaker is much loud, no distortion, and faced no call drop or other call related issues.
