Gcam will never work.Stock camera is the best for stock based roms nothing beats it.If you are on aosp then snap camera is the best and works on nearly all marshmallow nougat oreo and pie roms.I will PM you the link and I already PM you with link for Dragon kernel.
I'm also looking for Gcam for my Samsung J5 2016 (but with a custom 7.1.1 ROM, see my signature) to enable AR (Augmented Reality). What are your experiences?

Well I guess the demans for the 2015 version is much higher as it is a weaker device than the 2016 and coupled with the fact that being older, the 2015 is more well known when it comes to inner workings, make good reasons as for why aren't there any kernels and roms for 2016.

In the past I used to use the cyanogenmod ROM, but it was discontinued. There is a good ROM like cyanogenmod for Samsung A5 2016?

****ing?, u are so smart, we got exynos 7580 on a3 2016 and we have Los,RR,Aex etc stable...?
Well I and kmx and others can maintain it, but there's one thing! We need the device! Testers are useless, if you look on github and the source code its 100x more work than you think -nef
Actually i'm not able to provide a stable AOSP based ROM for A5 because of weird differences as A3. I'll maybe get the A5 soon, I'll have news on 30/11

I like rom RR, hope you fix the bug.
There is AEX AOSPExtended, LineageOS and even ResurrectionRemix but all of them have the same issues like the audio that no one was able to fix yet.

Hi guys! MIUI port is coming in future in J5 2016?
There's a Miui version for j5 2016 but it has too many bugs, it is based on Android 5.1.1 and because of that we can't fix those bugs, our phone don't have the right libraries for that version of Android.
A solution could be to port a Miui ROM which is based on Android 6 or even better Android 7.

I've been searching for a long time for a ROM that's not a customization of the Samsung "touchwizzy" ROMs.
in particular AOSP, Lineage, RR, .. etc
I couldn't find any of them anywhere
I even tried to learn how to port ROMs and port Lineage 14.1 to my device but I couldn't find The device tree and vendor.
Please help

Edit: oh sorry there are no custom Roms for j5 yet just tw based ones. What type of CPU is in that device? I'm sure if lineage is ported to a device of the same chipset then a port would be possible

Same as galaxy j3 2017. Try going to the j3 forum and pm one of the devs there. Seeing as it is the same SoC it shouldn't be a big deal

Hi, I'm using A5 2016 and I'm looking for a rom that is stable and fast, any recommendations? Does anybody know about any One UI rom? It would be nice to be Oreo at least but if there's one working better and it's nougat it's not a problem.
a5 16 is old device and development is also gone oldd.
