I just searched this forum so if I somehow missed it please accept my apologies. Anyway, on both my own and my wife's AT&T GS7E when I tell it to check for updates it says I am up to date. However when I go to the About Device section of both phones it's on 6.0.1 with a security patch level of February 1, 2016. So correct me if I'm wrong--but if we bought these in early March this means neither one has EVER taken an OTA update, right? If so, why does the device say that everything is up-to-date?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Call AT&T tech support. They can probably push the missing updates to your phones.
I had a similar issue with updates stuck on February update I tried everything including factory resetting and cache clearing I finally had to go to my local Best Buy Samsung experience and have them force the update they were able to load the July update and 2 days later it automatically pulled the August update; that ended up fixing it.
This probably the only way to fix your issue.

You're going to have to flash the unlocked firmware for the G935U via ODIN. Works like a charm if you don't use the At&t network
I was wondering how many and what updates everyone else have received and when?
I'm currently on the April 2017 security update and I received that in early June I believe.
I'm hoping Huawei can at least be excused by the fact they're working on an Oreo update instead of doing security updates and bug fixes (highly doubtful though). Mine is a Nordic unlocked model by the way.
So are anyone else receiving security updates?
Not here, in Spain. The thing is, I don't see any security patch coming till next EMUI version arrives, hopefully before the end of the year.
Not sure if this helps, but I found some way opening another security gap
As far as I figured out, you need 3 files for the update to work:
update.zip
update_full.zip (or update_full_WAS-XXX_hw_eu.zip)
update_data_full_public.zip
I am sure, FirmwareFinder or any other tool might come in handy doing so. The next thing you'd need would be TWRP which is available as some beta build somewhere on this forum. Then you'd have to unlock the bootloader and root your device to get TWRP on it. I'd recommend doing some research on this as you might have to get some code for "fastboot oem unlock"...
Flash the files listed above the way they're listed.
Hi, I have a NOKIA model TA-1025 00S0_3_28A (with Lockscreen Offers & Ads AMAZON) but it stayed in the security patch of June 2017, I would like to know if someone else happens to you? or just mine, Thanks.
PLEASE, VERY GRATEFUL I WILL BE, IF SOMEONE HAS THE LINKS OR PAGES FOR DOWNLOADS THE UPDATES, THANK YOU
Kind of related; I've got a TA-1025 (Amazon no-ads variant) and mine's still stuck on the August 1st update.

I'm stuck too in 7.1.1, no November update ? ta-1025 Amazon adds
The same happens to me I have the ta 1025 and i am still on august security patch
I finally managed to update it using the instructions on this post. I had to pull out the SIM card, do a factory reset, install Turbo VPN and try the update again.
I'm waiting for the December patch but otherwise I'm on 7.1.2 with November patch.

Me too. I'm with 7.1.2 but with November patch, TA-1039. Maybe we don't get the December patch and directly get Android Oreo

Supposedly we'll be getting the Oreo beta "soon." I'm wondering if they'll finish the beta phase for the Nokia 5 before they start the 6.
Although the phone is "unlocked" from Amazon the moment you put in a sim card it becomes tied to that cell carrier and thus no OTA unless pre-authorized by your carrier.
Follow the instructions posted by @kaykhoso96 and do a factory reset without your sim, rise and repeat process each month to get the latest update.
Additionally, for slightly less work, use the DDLs posted by @qwertysmerty and update from SD card each month.
Not without effort, but at least Nokia are sending out monthly updates. :victory:
I have the Nokia 6 from Amazon ads and I am no receiving any OTA so my phone is still on August security patch how can I fix that

As per my post above you:
1. Try a different brand sim – OTA is locked by carrier authorization.
Still not working? Then:
2. Remove sim card and factory reset with sim removed, leave sim out and use a VPN set to USA and let the updates rain.
I also have a TA-1025, I've factory reset my phone 4 times now. From November onwards I've successfully SD loaded the DDLs posted by Qwerty, saving monthly factory resets.
The fault doesn't seem to lie with Amazon but with whoever your cell carrier is.

I had same issues as OP, it was fixed when i added in the "fota" in the apn settings, i guess it stands for "firmware over the air" and all of a sudden here comes my December patch. This was on T-Mobile just FYI.
@twinturboz suggestion above could be another option (since it's so simple it would be worth trying it before trying 2.).
I've just added fota to my carrier APN, will see if the carrier pushes updates. Do you know if it requires you to have sufficient mobile data or will it still work over WiFi with mobile data turned off?

ASFAIK Nokia has firmware updates strictly WiFi only, i don't have home internet so all i did is use my iPhone SE as a hotspot and got everything installed that way.
Bought an unlocked S8 from Samsung I use AT&T for service. I wouldn't be opposed to flashing/odin'ing AT&T firmware. Currently on build NRD90M.G950U1UEU1AQH3 and the August 1st security patch. I'm unsure of the best path to get to an AT&T firmware.
Go to the att section. Find the qf7 firmware and flash it with Odin.
Go to the adb update from server thread. Download all the firmwares (starting with qf7 to whatever it is) and put them on your external storage. While on qf7 reboot into recovery and select install update from storage. Flash each one, after the last one wipe data/factory reset and reboot.
So to be clear, flash AQF7 in Odin. This will get me onto an AT&T specific SM-G950U (<-- Not U1) ROM that I can then sideload the updates onto? Is sideloading the ADB updates just to speed things up vs waiting for OTAs once I'm on the correct ROM?
I flashed my at&t version to AHQ3 thinking I would be getting faster support. I am also surprised that the Unlocked AHQ3 is still on the August security patch. I really expected this version to get patched much faster or am I missing something?

The US unlocked version is the red headed stepchild of the S8 world, it really is slower for updates.
I am running AQK3 on an ATT version, think I got it from sammobile, just got one I think it was the VZW version but don't remember, didn't change the AT&T bloatware... since I did not pawn/root it in my current setup. Patch level is oct not nov...
You should have received the November security patch update last night or should be getting it sooner than later. If anything try running the manual software update on WiFi when you get a chance.
Hi.
I have a G955U Galaxy S8+ AT&T Factory Unlocked on Android 7.0
Baseband Version: G955USQU1AQC9
Android Security Patch Level - April 1, 2017
I no longer live in the US, and currently in the Philippines. Phone works great and the signal is too and all, but I cannot get OTA updates. Every time i try to update it says that its up to date.
I have tried different ways to update it that i read online, The latest one that I have tried is following the steps given from this Thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s8+/how-to/sprint-released-oreo-s8-s8-flashing-t3915872 but it gave me this output https://prnt.sc/oqjnp6
My phone is not rooted or anything just a normal phone. I am just trying to update it to the latest Android Version 9.0(Pie) , I just made this thread for the reason of maybe someone can help me on updating my phone.
Where you able to update it? Or are you still having issues?
