Error message when attempting to Side-load Samsung System apps - Samsung Galaxy S10+ Questions & Answers

I have attempted numerous time to side-load a Samsung apps like "Always On Display" only to get the "App not installed" error message. What am i doing wrong??

You cannot sideload system apps on s10plus.
You might also find the version you are on is the latest version for the S10 plus . The version you are trying to side load might be a newer version but to fix a bug on other model phones.
I have already had a discussion with Samsung about this about a month ago.

Why are you even trying to sideload Samsung system apps? Are the originals disabled, uninstalled or not working properly or are you trying to add features not available in your firmware version?

A501 won't download from Google Play or install other ROMs

Hi,
I have an Acer A501 on which I installed CWM and a custom rooted 3.2 ROM shortly after purchasing it in order to use a certain app that required root permissions. I noticed that after the root, the device would give me a "server error" when trying to download apps from Google Play, but I didn't really pay much attention to it, since I didn't download new apps very often and I figured I could just get APKs from other sources. Recently, though, I have been trying to give the tablet a new life by getting Google Play back to work (since searching for APKs on dodgy sites isn't exactly the most reliable way of getting new apps) and maybe installing ICS. I flashed a stock 3.2 ROM and got rid of CWM, since I assumed it was the reason for Google Play not working, but apparently I was wrong, since I am still getting that error. I have also been trying to flash a stock ICS ROM, but every single one I've tried so far shows an error (the Android robot with the yellow warning sign) almost immediately after starting to flash. Does anyone know the solution to these problems? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Bump... Anyone?

Yeah, I remembered I had the same error.
Anyway, pls try to check this link...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2733038
In my case, I just removed the existing account. Then, add the same account & it is working OK.
Thanks for the link. As for removing and re-adding the account, I have done that multiple times, to no avail. I have tried force-stopping and clearing the cache of Google Services Framework, as suggested in the thread, but now, I get a connection error merely trying to add a Google account to the device... I even did a factory reset, but I still can't add a Google account, as if the Google Services settings hadn't been reset at all.
EDIT: I just realized that the reason I got a connection error after the factory reset was not being connected to Wi-Fi. However, after clearing the cache and data of Market, Google Services Framework and Download Manager, I get the same connection error while trying to add a Google Account, even while connected to a Wi-Fi network.
EDIT 2: I have rebooted the device, and now I'm back where I started. The error code is RPC:S-7:AEC-0 LOWQ-XYAM-M7MTS.
Any Luck? Same problem here with a stock A500 after a factory reset. I've tried two good google accounts. Getting "Google Talk Authentication Failed" and " Error retrieving data from server"

How do I install an older version of Google Play Music?

Ever since Google got rid of sub-genres and replaced them with play lists, I've kept an older version of GPM to replace the new version. I did this previously by deleting the new version and installing the old, but I was always rooted.
Is there a way too do this without root?
I'm guessing it fails because it tries to install the old version I have as a system app.
Apkmirror
That's a cool place to get older versions of the app, but doesn't solve my problem.
Trying to install the older version fails.
I have unknown sources turned on.
You can't install an older version until you can delete the new one completely which you would need root to do
Thanks. I was hoping there was another way. I guess I'm stuck with "drinking a latte at the gym with my bro" sub-genres.

literally no one have the answer or solution to this!

i've posted this before and today it happens to me again i lost my daily data limit. GooglePlayServices used my 1.5gb data in the background for downloading System update

Are you on Android 9 or 10? If 9 then it's a problem, if 10 then it's the one I said above, the option to update some system component through PlayStore. However I haven't found an option on 10 to block this update from happening.
So, is the answer to set it to only update over wifi, then OP does not waste all the data?

Adaway not updating

I've installed adaway from f-droid.
Now I find that it gives the message "Update available", I can download the update but it fails to install, gives message "App not installed"
And not only does this happen om my s6 lite, it also happens on my Moto g7 plus. and my wifes Moto g5s
All have magisk, on the s6 with systemless host enabled.
I've tried complete removal and reinstall, no difference.
Do any of you have the same behaviour?
Yes, same for me with Pixel 5 and Magisk. Been happening the last couple days. Everything else seems to be working fine.
Do you know if they changed the package name? This can happen if the package name is changed in the app store, but the system package name is the old one. The solution would be to uninstall the current APK on the system and then install the new version from the app store.
Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't work. However, I noticed the version in f-droid was 5.1.0 from 2 months ago, but the latest release on github was 5.2.1 and it said it fixed something with the f-droid store. So I uninstalled again, then downloaded the apk from github and installed that. Everything is working fine and no update anymore.
Thanks guys. My wife's phone was updatet today but mine refused.
Then just now, after updating f-droid it updated from f-droid where before I tried updating from within adaway.
And s6 is ok now too!

Lenovo TB-X505L issues with apps

Hello,
I am currently troubleshooting the tablet because there is an issue while installing, lot of common apps (Zoom, AnyDesk, ...) — it shows that the device isn't compatible by software. The tablet has the latest (offered by itself) Android 10 update and the apps have latest updates, offered, as well. It was working fine before, now it doesn't want to install/launch the apps. When I tried to sideload the apps, the same message was shown. I plan to flash LineageOS but before doing that, do you, guys, have any tips?
