Hello everyone!.. I hope y'all doing great.
well, I didn't find anywhere to post this problem but I had to do it here cuz I have an OP5,, anyways..
my problem is that I bought earphones, nd the audio channel is reversed (right sound coming from left ear & vice versa) so it's really annoying, especially in games as u really need to identify where sound is coming from,,
nd wearing them reversed is really uncomfortable as they're designed to be wearable on the exact ear
so my question is: is there anyway to reverse audio channels using software modifications? (editing system files, apps... anything)
I've already tried Viper4Android but it doesn't have this option..
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

I bought it 2 months ago,, I don't think that'll work
I really really like these earphones, as they have very powerful bass nd a great clearity while listening to music, that's why m looking for a workaround nd not for a replacement

Foobar has reverse stereo channels within DSP for example.
Maybe mixer_paths.xml has an option for that.

You mean Foobar2000? that's a music player.
I'm looking for a system-wide solution if there's any, as I said, my biggest concern is in games, as I should be able to know where exactly the sound is coming from.
it doesn't really matter in music tho.

Yes exactly, that's what I was looking for, an editable file to reverse channels from system!..
is there any tutorial or a anything about how to do it? and where this file is located?

Just do fine Google search about this file. There are plenty of tutorials also on xda. I used it in the past to gain mic volumes, but cannot say if it is capable of helping you in that manner.

found a similar problem here
but the files are quite bit different, I followed same steps on that thread with my mixer_paths.xml but it didn't do any changes, audio still reversed.. I'm sure I edited the wrong file..
what do you think is the right file? (regarding that thread)

The files are not the same on every device, that's true. But you need to find the lines to edit. Some trial and error make backups before editing anything(file and twrp).

thanks KenKiller for the reply,
I have searched the free app market for such a software but could not find, do you know if it is available as a paid app?
ahhh I missss that auto-vibrate so much !!!!!
I loved it on my magic. no need to hold the phone on our ears until they pick up
i tried to search for it, but in the end found many more threads where people asked for this function to be removed from many other phones.
Guess it's hard to please the whole world.
Place the phone.apk from this thread onto your SD card and use APKInstaller to install it. It should overwrite your stock phone.apk and will provide you the feature set you desire.
However, I don't know if this has been attempted on a SGS before - so be ready to restore your stock ROM if it doesn't work...

Waiting for a brave soul to try this.
I'm pretty sure the Phone app that comes with SGS is quite unique. After installing launcherpro the default phone button wouldn't even work until I replaced it.

Is there any news about this issue ?
uhhhh, sounds fun, let me book mark this and try it when i have spare time to mess around with my phone
For some reason the setting for this is in Settings > Sound and Display, Vibrate for Incoming Calls which is by default unticked. I thought I saw another somewhere else, going to poke around a bit more.
Edit: Damn, can't find it. I swear I saw options for vibrating at the start and/or end and or during calls, maybe I'm getting confused with my Magic though?
I really miss that feature from my old phone. The nearest app I can find is this http://www.androlib.com/android.application.com-cn-cwd-callvibrate-BApt.aspx
I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but does anyone know a way to change the sound the keyboard sound for typing? I hate the vibrate so I turned it off but I also hate the sound it makes so I turned that off too. I want it to make a soft pop noise similar to the iPhone. I searched but couldn't find anything. Thanks in advance.

Running into the same 'problem' and found that the sounds used are in the /system/media/audio/ui folder. But I can't replace them ...
Should I get passed that as well then I'll let you know.

Do you have root access? If not then you need that first. You can get that with this little app...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=833953&highlight=z4root
Then, I'd recommend using RootExplorer (free, on the Market) for pasting the new audio file.
Hope this helps
That worked, thanks for the tip!

well in that case i have tried that eq settings mod!!
power amp is working but it is also giving very low volume as output....
i think i've screwed system settings of sound..... and it can revert back only by applying another servicemodeapp.apk perhaps.....
worst thing is that instead of stock earphones.. i 've sennheiser pmx60 which are really crap compared to our stock ones.... :-(

Just select rebuild these values, at the same section where you changed the original.values, reboot and its ready as before, or flash again the.room

actually i didn't modified the values...
visit the link that i've posted in very first post of this thread....
the audio option didn't showed up.. so i placed the servicemodeapp.apk in system/app ..
now even after removing that file, i cant get back to my original sound quality...
helpppppppppppppp...
guys plzzzz.... i gotta listen bruno mars "lazy song" asap...
help meee....... :-(
Then try to modify the values, maybe that moded servicemodeapp.apk had some values changed, reinstall it and try to modify the values as i've told you, if this does not solve the problem, do a factory reset and if not, you have to reflash again...
Create a backup of your apps and things and reflesh to a new rom.
Will check on this! please mods let me go with this comment, I also want to post my ROM in dev section, would help him as well...
Hi,
As above mention, i notice that my charging tone is gone after i root to v1.5
Anyone got this issue too? pls help.. my first android phone..
Thanks !!!
The notification sound when you hit 100%? Yeah pretty much all custom roms ripped that out first, for good reason
If you are talking about the tone it makes when it starts charging, you can easily add it back in. Unzip the attached file and Use root explorer to copy this file into system\media\audio\ui and it will make the sound when you plug the charger in. I think lite just added a new .ogg file that has no sound so you just copy this over it.
If you are talking about the charge full notification, it has been removed and not sure how to put that back in.
Thanks guys,
i didn't know there is notification sound when you hit 100%. what a waste that custom roms ripped that out.
will give it a try on that thanks guys

You can get it from market but it does cost money for the app. I personally only use Root explorer as I really like it but there are other free apps that let you browse the system folder. I don't know any off hand though. I think you can also push it using ADB.
Hi Guys
This is weird. My shiny new Note 3 is about three weeks old. It's working 99.9% perfectly except for a slight sound problem. The problem is that when it is connected to a charging dock it USED to play a tone. Now it just vibrates slightly (but still charges). I also noticed that my camera doesn't make a shutter sound when I take a photo. I wondered whether the two issues are related in some way?.
All other sounds seem to be working OK on the Note3 (so it's not a volume setting) and I have checked whether option for the dock 'making a sound' is switched on. Additionally, there doesn't appear to be an option in the camera settings to switch on/off the sound, so it can't be that.
OK none of this is a major problem, but it is a bit of a niggle!
I hate niggly things! .
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks
You made any changes recently?

Yes, gazillions of changes due to installing apps! Too numerous to narrow it down to a specific action

Do you have these checked files in the screenshot?
Thank you. That looks like a useful screenshot - where do I go to check if the sound file is checked as in your screenshot? I guess thats your file manager isn't it? I'm using ES explorer and the phone isn't rooted. Do you happen to know which folder these sound files live? I did a file search and it couldn't find any of the files shown in your screenshot
Cheers

I use Root Explorer, those files are in system>media>audio >ui.
However, as far as I know you can't access the system folder unless you're rooted, so I think it's unlikely that you've deleted them.

OK case closed - I hard reset the phone, reinstalled all the original apps and the missing sounds are back. Sorted! Bit of a drastic measure though
Still don't know WHY the sound disappeared from just the docking process and the camera shutter, but it least it's all fine now
Thanks for all your help and suggestions.
