Charging my Xoom

Hey guys, I have a UK Xoom and the backend of next week I am off to New York for a wedding for a week. I want to take my Xoom with me however I am unsure if I can charge it with my UK power adapter. It's obviously rated for 220-240v will the lesser voltage of the US power supply still charge though my current adapter or will it not work altogether? I have no idea how I am going to charge it if I can't use my UK adapter. :-S

Can't speak for a UK xoom. I got, one from the US and use it in australia.
My charger states 100-240v and I can use mine here or in the US....in fact in many countries, I just need a plug adaptor, not a voltage convertor.

you can check your local hardware store, or even best buy, etc.

You are quite right, I just asumed it wouldn't work in the US as it was a UK adapter but they do indeed seem to be generic adapters! Mine also states 100-240v, thanks Sickboy.

[Q] charger issue for i9505 help needed

guys i got a new charger from ebay a samsung original they say i dunno if its true got it fr she 400 indian rupees used it for some two months and its all gone now last night the adapter probably got burnt for more current or something i dunno its not working and as i checked its made in vietnam looks exactly the same as samsung i have my previous phones charger s3 I'm using it right now its a 5v 1A adapter doesn't charge quick and thats annoying I'm confused should i buy a new one from ebay or should try this QI wireless power pad is it safe?http://www.ebay.in/itm/Qi-Wireless-...Mobile_Accessories&hash=item3ce7f7c286&_uhb=1
or should i just buy a authentic adapter from samsung store?

Authenticitt is the key.
Buy a samsung adapter without the data cable..
And buy a good heavy duty datacable.

Are there only those two options? Your first three posts are the same brand, which I've seen recently in most places because of their recent sale. I'm curious now if there's a wall charger/ cable combination that's not $25, that's Quick Charging C-C or whether I need to wait for a while. Choetech comes out to near $22 I think after the discount.

They're different reviews of the same charger, and other ones as well. The Choetech (2 versions), Tronsmart, SONEic, and google dual port all charge at 5V/3A over type C. I have the google and Tronsmart which I use daily without any issues.

Fast charging USB cables on Amazon?

I'm about sick and tired of the terrible USB cable that came with this phone. Fast charging with the OEM cable is nearly impossible!! Can anyone recommend me a decent quality USB cable that supports fast charging and at least 6ft on Amazon? I would really appreciate any recommendations. Thanks!

Yeah I'm in the US, I tried two purchases but didn't have any luck with delivery to US. Looks like exactly what I'm looking for though.

I second this. I got a red one of these cables and can't believe how good they are.
Fast charge as soon as plugged in, no more unplugging and replugging to get the fast charge to work.
Connecting to pc works flawlessly as well and data transfer speeds are fast.

Do you know where I can purchase one in the US? Or possibly even one that will just ship to the US? I can't find anything online that will ship to the US.

I have used both Anker 6 ft and aukey ones from amazon/taobao and both can fast charge without issues

Genuine s8 wall charger - can't find

Hello
I'm struggling to buy a genuine Samsung wall charger (UK plug). I spoke to Samsung UK who said they don't stock it and it's very hard to know whether eBay or Amazon ones are genuine. Amazon itself isn't selling one either.
I have checked through Samsung genuine part seller sites and they don't stock one. I have got two wireless chargers and need genuine adaptive fast charger to go with one of them.
Can someone help me with info on where to find one.

The same in germany. Amazon.de ist selling a not genuine as original. I'm going with a 18w Anker QC3.0 now.

Hi, i don't have the model number - but its called Anker PowerPort +1. It hast 18W - perhaps you are on a saver way buying the 24W model.
