Give me a minute, I'll upload it for you. I have my doubts about the functionality though
Here you go
The wear app which is used to connect to the watch and also a watch app (mini launcher as requested). You will have to extract the actual watch apk (it's in \assets).

FiredTV Alternative with " TV LAUNCHER FOR ANDROID"
Hey guys by accident I think I found a way to use different launcher then FiredTV Launcher which often crashed for me..
I sideloaded TV Launcher then bought full version. After installing this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2786618 , XPOSED module after reeboting and removing all previous launchers now TV Launcher turn on itself always by pressing home button!!
the only way to go back to amazon screen is by holding "Home" and then clicking on settings and then going back to Amazon menu.
I can make a short video to show it I am impressed!! TV Launcher is pretty cool just gotta find HD ICONS for my apps
TV Launcher pro is like few bucks you can then add unlimited icons to your launcher.
Steps I Took to get it working
#1 Install Xposed (if you are already did skip it) if you didn't install framework of course also.
#2 Install Fire TV Mods (all credits to rBox) link to 1.3 Ver apk:
http://www.mediafire.com/download/onvu1xbjjkho1yb/RboxFireTvMods_1.3.apk
#3 Remove any previous launcher ( I had few like Nova,FiredTV Launcher etc..) leave only TV Launcher
#4 reeboot via xPosed app (your fire tv box)
#5 after clicking HOME you should be able to go to TV Launcher menu everytime

Play Store Link to TV-Launcher:

How to buy Paid version fire TV?
you gotta have Play Store installed I bought pro version via Fire TV to make things easier.
How to extract easily TV Launcher?
download APK Extractor on your tablet/phone,extract it and use your favorite app/way to install the TV Launcher APK.
The home button works with any launcher available if using xposed, but like it's been said before its non selectable.. So whatever it launches is your default launcher. Tested apex and Nova and TV launcher back in the day.. TV launcher iirc didn't work right with the remote back then. Did they fix it?

Not sure I joined the dev on google plus comnunity and signed up for beta however his latest launcher works horrible on Fire TV so I hope he will catch up with it quick it's the perfect launcher but the 2.08 version in playstore works ok but could be better.
Hey everybody!
Just modded my NP and installed LolliRock, but some of the apps look a bit strange on the big screen TV. I remember seeing somewhere - can't remember where - that it is possible to launch some of the apps in LeanBack mode. Does any of you know how, or at least point me in the right direction?
Thanks!
Actually found it in the end:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NMqz8e33oq8
It uses the QuickShortcutMaker app to make a shortcut that will open the specific app in LeanBack mode, which on a big screen TV looks way better than the normal app.

Where do you find the leanback launcher app to run in Lollirock? Never mind found it on mirrorapk
Thanks
Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to have a shortcut to the leanback launcher from within kodi. I use kodi as my main launcher with xbmc launcher and know how to use twisted home manager to get back to it, and to point kodi to Netflix and other apps, but not to the leanback launcher home screen. I tried doing a custom Android activity but it does nothing? Anyone have any success?
Was wondering the same thing. On my fire tv kodi shows the FTV launcher in android apps so I just favorite it and add it to my submenu.

yeah, same problem. i have a fire tv and a fire tv 2 which both can be done this way, but kodi doesnt see the app for some reason, even if you manually point it to it. even if someone were to just code an app that autolaunched the leanbacklauncher, id be fine with that. just want to go into it without a lot of hassle.
I have the same problem, I want to use XBMC Launcher as standard, but I also want to get back to Leanback once in a while for updates and settings. I have read about something here adding it as a favorite but I cannot seem to figure out how.

Well if you are trying to access settings I found an apk that just links to the settings screen. You just need to favorite the app in Kodi. I would give credit to who made it but idk who that is!

Thanks I have installed that, would still however like an app who just opens the Leanback Launcher. I have tried the one from this thread, but it does not work. (Note: It is for the Nexus Player!). But hopefully it is possible to make something similar for the Shield.

Ok, so I wrote the script. Install from zip within Kodi. It should show up within the program menu of kodi. It can be added as a shortcut, if your kodi skin allows shortcuts.
I haven't tested it yet and I can't promise that it will work.
It should launch the leanback launcher based on its package name (com.google.android.leanbacklauncher).

Hey, fantastic you took your time to help. :highfive:
However I can't get it to work, in installs fine and Kodi says it is enabled, but when I press on it from within Kodi Program Add-ons, nothing happens.
Hopefully you will keep working on it, it would be awesome to have
/Cheers

Have you guys tried this? - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63390279&postcount=6
@darthcircuit decompiled the leanbacklauncher and edited the manifest to launch like a normal app. I haven't tried it, but it might work.

Hi
I have tried it, it did not work
you can accomplish this using the Kodi add-on Advance Launcher.
* Create a new standalone launcher
* select the launcher application as /system/bin/am
* set the application arguments as: start --user 0 -a android.intent.action.VIEW -n com.google.android.leanbacklauncher/com.google.android.leanbacklauncher.MainActivity
* set the title to something meaningful (e.g. Leanback Launcher)
* select Android as the platform, though this likely doesn't really matter
* select whatever for the Thumbnails and Fanarts path. You can change the icon of this launcher individually by pulling up the context menu later
this should do it. You can add the launcher to favorites, and then set it as a home menu item within Kodi or a submenu item with most modern Jarvis skins.
Tasker AppFactory
You can do it by creating a task in Tasker that opens Leanback. Export that task as app and have Kodi run that app.

Hi,
My unit is JOYING JY-UL135N2 with 12/8 firmware. I have installed 'Smart Launcher Pro' and replaced stock launcher. I am happy with the smart launcher pro. it is very nice. But with this launcher, I cannot find 'bluetooth music' app to give a link to the dash top. I have tried searching this apk (stock apk for bluetooth music) using ES file explorer. But no luck. If I change the launcher back to stock, bluetooth music icon appears and I can use it. Can anyone post the bluetooth music apk file for JOYINGUN135N2 so that I can use it.
thank you.

BT music is part of the Bluetooth apk. You need to check the AndroidManifest.xml in the Bluetooth apk then create an activity short cut for that activity.
You can also try this http://www.howtogeek.com/169408/go-...creens-within-an-app-with-activity-shortcuts/
thank you dcman008.
that was very useful information to me regarding activities in applications. Your solution worked!!!
Now I can have an icon link to bluetooth music app... thanks a lot.
i also like Smart Launcher Pro...
so you just made an activities shortcut to get the Bluetooth Music?
