So I just sold my Pixel 2 XL and now I'm back to using my PH-1. my carrier is Metro, and when using the Pixel and the OP6T before that, VVM worked perfectly from the phone dialer. The VVM on my PH-1 isn't working however, and I can't figure out why. Has anyone found a solution to this issue?

As side from the built in vvm in the phone dialer, I've also tried using Metro's VVM app, Youmail, and Visual Voicemail all from the play sore, and none of them seem to work on my PH-1 with Q beta 6

Don't feel left out because my Motorola Nexus 6 is still able to use this feature with TMobile service but my Essential Ph-1 with TMobile this feature no longer works.

I use YouMail. It's visual voicemail and call blocker. Excellent spam blocker!

Browsing through all the new kit kat goodies on my Nexus4 and i found the option for internet calling.
I'm assuming its similar to T-Mobile's wifi calling, so that bounty thread may go bye bye!
So I was wondering if anyone has used the Internet Calling "For all calls when data network is available" setting as a daily driver, and if so how has your experience been in terms of call quality and dropped calls?
Also found the google support thread that has basic directions: Here
TY! :good:
** oh and i did a search in a few forums before posting but only found tmo threads
Here's a screenshot

This was on 4.3 as well.
Interesting. Because of poor signal reception on my N5, I was considering using talkatone and GV. I'll try this. Never needed it on my N4--same service; same location.
Hmmm. Don't know if AT&T gophone offers internet calling.
EDIT: Talkatone doesn't seem to work with Hangouts.

same thing happened to me on aeon for awhile and no one else. I tried every fix there was and the only one that worked was using a different app for texting
curious as to if I use Textra and push it to the system apps and delete the native mms/sms apk could i still use Android tuner/mybackup pro/ titanium backup to backup/restore my sms/mms
Well, update i deleted the stock messaging app and went with textra and its working good so far....Im on ATT D800 running grevious
I've been experiencing an odd issue with the Google Messenger app for SMS and Group SMS on my Moto G4. Last week I was able to send group messages but now all my group messages are converted to Mass Text or individual texts. There appears to be no way in my settings to enable group messaging. Nothing on my end after clearing app data and cache. I've read this could be a sim issue? I've tried restoring to a previous build of Messenger with no luck. Its odd because this wasn't an issue a week or so ago. Am I missing something? Thanks!

It's weird, I haven't knowingly changed anything either. Just started doing this.

The Verizon rep fixed it it was something called integrated messaging on the account that had to be removed it's apparently a known bug that they're working on

to theprfct10..do you know what the verizon tech did to integrated messaging to fix the bs headache ?
this is known bug that they're working on. just need to wait for update
I don't know of a permanent solution, but if you go into setting and reset network it gets rid of it til the next system update.
Can someone help me with this issue. When I first got my phone I was getting audible notifications while on a call, but then recently my phone started to slow down/lag, so I booted into recovery and cleared cache. Now, ever since then, I have not been able to receive any audible notifications while on a call. I ensured that notify during calls is turned on and even toggled it on/off with no success. Any help would be appreciated.
have tried the 'call waiting' option under 'supplementary services' as well?

I thought that the new update received would fix it, but it didn't. I also noticed, that it works with whatsapp calling, but not with Samsung dialer. Any suggestions?
