When I enable android debugging on my LG G3 d855 phone (Cyanogenmod 12.1) and plug it into my PC (using a good USB cable), Windows 7 says it can't install drivers for the device with the error "no driver found". I tried installing some drivers but they don't seem to have worked. Can anyone point me to exactly which drivers I need to do adb debugging of the phone?

I used Wug's toolkit, had to try a few times until I finally got it right:
Follow the steps in the toolkit to uninstall any adb drivers and remove any instances of the device from the device manager
connect the phone in mtp mode and ptp mode after that, both times with usb debugging OFF, let windows figure those drivers out so you can transfers files without any trouble
disconnect the phone and install the universal drivers (option 1 in the toolkit)
turn off both mtp and ptp, then connect the phone with usb debugging ON. This is what might be causing trouble, if you turn usb debugging on along with mtp, windows thinks it's yet another device, for a total of 5 possibilities (mtp only, ptp only, debugging only, mtp+debugging and ptp+debugging)
follow the instructions in the toolkit to select the proper driver for the nexus 4 with only usb debugging on (I set mine to "google nexus 4 adb interface"). Test the drivers and repeat this step for fastboot in case the proper driver isn't selected already (google nexus 4 bootloader interface)
After doing this I didn't have any trouble using adb or transferring files. The one thing I recommend is to always keep only one mode on at a time while connecting to the pc, either mtp/ptp or USB debugging
I don't know if anyone has a better/more streamlined solution, but this one has worked for me, so I don't intend to mess with it
Hi
I have problem with my nexus 4. Whenever I'm trying to connect to USB device is not getting detected in mode as well as fastboot mode.
I have tried it on win7, xp and Mac. adb and other drivers are up to date. I'm using android 4.4 KitKat baseband KRT16S factory image. Device is unlocked and rooted with clockworkmod recovery. I tried flashing different versions of recovery using ROM manager. Tried switching USB storage options 'media device MTP' and 'camera PTP'. I have also tried to reinstall drivers on Windows but no luck ( Mac doesn't require drivers ). Used different USB cables. Tried enabling/disable USB debugging. Device is not getting detected in any way.
my other device, which is nexus 4 and with same software, it works fine. Seems something wrong with my device only.
Please suggest solution. Thanks !
Reinstall USB driver once phone is in recovery mode.
Sent from my Nexus 4, while driving in my Evo9.

no its not working
Have you downloaded the latest official driver with the google adt bundle?
I also had to download the latest driver and remove the the device from Windows device manager and completely reinstall the device.
Just got the VS980 yesterday, rooted with ioroot and installed Beanstalk 4.4.2.. until I put beanstalk on it, my laptop would recognize it with the koush universal drivers and the LG united drivers v2.13 and I could explore the device fine, transfer files, etc. Since installing Beanstalk, my laptop sees the device as LG AndroidNet Phone(with debugging enabled) or USB Charge Only device(without debugging) but I can't explore the device to transfer files
I've tried uninstalling and redoing all the drivers, debugging on/off, etc to no avail and I feel like I'm doing not doing something that's right in front of my face... anyone have any suggestions or fixes?

Hey guys, my nexus 7 is rooted operating AOSP/AOKP on 4.2.2 just to give some brief information (it's not fresh in my mind and I plan to clean install a new rom and kernal).
So first I'm not getting my nexus to display in my computer (win 7 x64) as MTP with usb debugging enabled nor disabled. PTP camera mod works and displays. I've already googled around so I know a few basic solutions to this issue none of which have worked thus far.
Following Nexus Root Toolkit driver instructions.
After wiping the drivers a windows restart and disabling debug mode, connecting via usb only installs the "Android ADB Interface" driver only (step 2 link above). After switching from MTP to PTP Nexus 7 driver is installed only (step 3). I then re-enable MTP where no new driver is installed untill usb debugging is turned back on and Android Composite ADB Interface driver is installed (step 4 + 5). This is where I'm stuck... At one point while playing about I managed to get MTP in the taskbar driver installer only to fail "No driver found" or something along those lines.
Please can someone assist me I need this tablet wiped and operation ASAP.
Thanks anymore information required just ask.
I've got an LG v20 vs995(verizon) that's behaving wild...I've installed USB drivers and ADB and fast boot but the device will not show storage on PC nor respond adb...but the drivers will show in device manager and is able to flash...I try connecting another v20 vs995 and all USB and Adb & fast boot drivers were working...I've tried reinstalling the drivers and changing pc but nothing...unlike the other V20 that worked fine and show the "LG v20 is connected" notification this one only makes a sound that a device is connected without stating device name or model...Any help will be highly appreciated...
