I just pre-ordered a Pitaka case for my Note 10+ and saved 10%. I have one for my S10+ and it's by far my favorite minimalist case I have ever owned.
I love that it has built in metal plates for their magnetic car mount AND still works with wireless charging.
Does this case let writing with S-pen?

I don't see why it wouldn't. It's just a super thin case that covers the back.

The case doesn't have a magnet in it, it just has thin metal plates so it works with magnetic car mounts. So I really don't think it will interfere with the SPen at all. They also made the case for previous Note models with no issues.
Best or not ???

I ran into some weird behavior with my Note 8 and the mag mount. If I set the device too far to the left, the magnet did interfere with the sensor that says the S-Pen is removed, and small tweaks would happen all by itself. It would instantly go away when I moved the device to the right position. Nothing harmful though.
Oh and I've already ordered my new Pitaka case for the Note 10+, cause the set up is THAT good

I absolutely hate clip style car mounts and have always used the magnetic style car mounts.
That's an issue with wireless charging (if you get a case with a metal plate built in) take the case off, put the case on, take the case off, put the case on, and I only use thin fit cases, basically not to scratch the back of the phone when I set it down.
Pitaka setup solves all the problems.
I just found out about them with my S10+
Is the case compatible with wireless charging with the metal plates installed?
Also, their website doesn't show any cases for the Note 10. Did you say you actually ordered one?

It's a nice case but shipping starting 15 business days after phone starts shipping isn't exactly going to bode well. Most will want to have their cases in hand by date of receipt (of the phone, in hand) at least if not before.

Yes, I use the MagMount. Wireless fast charging works fine. Every once in a while I will need to move the phone slightly for it to change from charging to fast charging, but that's like once every 10 times or so.

Anyone tried putting a magnet next to the back of their Defy?
I have this leather case for an old XDA I used to have, which has a magnet built in to clasp the strap closed.
When I put the defy in, it came up with a multimedia dock interface!
Also, putting the magnet at another point puts it into the car windscreen dock interface.
I looked on the Motorola website for the accessories, but they list the milestone multimedia/windscreen docks under the Defy accessories.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the Milestone's usb port is in the wrong place to fit?
Yes, the milestone won't fit. I'm waiting for a desk-stand, too

Problem is, it'll switch into car mode every time you use that...
magnet polarity
Turn the polarity of magnet!
If you put the magnet same place like in the car mount (behind of the menu button), but with reversed polarity. The phone runs the media home instead of car home.
I understand that's how it works.
Thing is, how easy is to to get to the magnet?
Are you likely to end up ruining or breaking the dock whilst trying to remove and reinsert it?
If you don't want the magnet to work, can't you put the phone in upside down? Most of my apps work fine inverted. I realize that puts the usb on top...
I just bought a cheap mount from China on eBay now. No magnet

Since the Nexus 4 has back glass like the iPhone 4/4S/5, do you think they will make custom back glass replacements for the Nexus 4? My gut says no, but just curious? What do you think they'll look like?
I was thinking of the same thing considering the 2 screws on the back. I would also look forward for a back "Screen protector" like the iPhone 4/4S/5.

Yeah, I'd really like to see a market of custom backs..... Not sure if I'd like them, but it would be cool. And I was hoping for back screen protectors too.
That would be awesome. What I'd REALLY like to see is something like that one glowing Apple replacement back, except with a glowing Nexus symbol.

Unfortunately you'd have to add a few mm to make it glow. Still might be worth it though.
We won't get metal backs because of antenna issues, but we might could see carbon fiber and plastic.
Other possible issues with the whole idea is the fact that the antennas are actually on the back plate, which would make replacements more expensive.

More than that, check out all the contact pins:
http://cdn02.androidauthority.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/lg-nexus-4-teardown-1.jpg
So does all of those things attached to the back plate make replacements very unlikely, or just more expensive?
Personally, I'd give up wireless charging (I have a super long USB cable, good enough for me) if necessary, (and if the phone could still function without it) to keep the price down on a back cover.

Includes FREE worldwide shipping. Is this too good to be true? I'm keen to give it a shot, but can't seem to find a brand-name or anything. According to the seller its compatible with our phones, but I'm always sceptical of no-name-brand Chinese things, especially if it could damage my precious.
Don't think its branded at all. Their return policy seems pretty good. Seems as though you would only have to pay for shipping if it's not an error on their part. I assume DOA's and the thing breaking down within the warranty period would constitute as free return paid by them. Post a review if u decide to try it.

Has anyone looked at the one labeled just "Qi Wireless Charger"?
It's white, and I don't like that, but it's completely flat, so it'd probably fit the phone better...?
Better as in, if you have to turn it around, then it'd be better, since with the large one, the casing seems to be raised at the top, whereas the standard one is completely flat, so flipping it around wouldn't really be that big of a deal.

This is not the same charger as the one being discussed in that other thread.
To repeat the OP, this is the charger discussed here:
http://www.fasttech.com/products/1197502
Mine arrived today. My early thoughts:
1.) It feels pretty cheaply made, but its a simple device and I can't really fault anything about it as far as build quality goes.
2.) The Nexus 4 has to be placed upside down for charging to take place. Bit of a shame, but no reason why you can't just use the pad itself upside down instead.
3.) Unlike the comments from another poster here, I was relieved to see my phone charge to 100% without any problems.
4.) The flashing blue LED is annoying and doesn't seem to do anything other than flash continually whether it is charging or not. I'll probably open it up and kill it, and/or simply tape over it with black tape.
All in all, pretty happy for the price paid, and glad to be able to reduce the wear and tear on the microUSB port.

Sorry, when I say "upside down", I don't mean face-down. Rather, the charging port needs to be at the top. Obviously that's where the sensor / coil lines up best with the phone; can't think of any other reason.
FYI, use the code "LAUNCH" for 5% off. Credit goes to samlikely in another thread for this.

The cover is really, really annoying. Especially for me, who uses bluetooth through my car speakers for my main music stuff. So each time I get in the car I plug the phone into the 12 volt. And each time, I have to pry open that cover. The worst part is, it doesn't even stay open! I also just got my Incipio dual layer protection case in the mail and now its even harder to get the charging cover off. It's really aggravating. I don't even think it closes correctly either. It always looks like its not snapped down all the way. Just, bleh. Most annoying quirk on the 4 Samsung phones I've owned.
just get the spare battery charge kit so you never have to mess with it. Its also a better means of going from zero to 100 than wireless charger

Yeah I'm not really sure what to do here. I have a bunch of 3D models for phone docks / car docks / etc for the gs3 and gs4, the battery cover is a total nuisance on the gs5, especially because it doesn't really stay open after you open it (I'm trying to imagine how to go about designing a dock for this thing).
I do 3D modeling and have a 3D printer, if anyone has an idea for an improvement... holler. I doubt we'll see any kind of other 3rd party replacement otherwise as it's attached to the phone and clearly involved with waterproofing. not sure if it's worth the trade-off!
anywho guess I'll be giving wireless charging a try again...

Yeah definitely good that it's easy to do that - personally I'm not really upset or frustrated; it's awesome to add waterproofing - I'm just trying to puzzle out the best way to keep the feature while also making the phone easy to slide into a dock (preferably with one hand), you know?
I just noticed that the IR cover is no longer on my Note. I don't know when or where it went but it's gone. Just a gaping hole there now about the same size as the micro-USB hole on the bottom.
Where would I find a replacement cover?
Aw man, don't even bother- I'm sure all the IR has leaked out by now

Turns out that the IR still works fine. I'm just worried that cruft will get in there and screw things up.
I sent an email to them and they've sent me a link to a page to order the part. There's no photo so I hope it's the right part. Costs $1.90 plus around $10.00 shipping. Takes 6 weeks but they charged my credit card immediately.

You know I was kidding, right? But good thing you were able to find the part, in any case.
I would cover the hole with a strip of sellotape until the part arrives to prevent dirt from entering.
