means you're flashing something that isn't compatible with your bootloader.

Galaxy Y goes blank after boot screen.

Galaxy Y gives a blank screen after the booting screen, the sound of boot animation comes but the screen is still stuck at the booting screen. After that when the screen times out, I press the power button and the phone gives a blank, black screen (the lcd is lit though). I've tried using odin to restore to stock ROM, but didn't work. Any suggestions ?

I think it is a hardware problem Go to Samsung service center to repair your phone . And, before you flash via odin, make sure that you already install the galaxy y driver and download the correct firmware.
And WRONG SECTION !!!!

S5 screen doesn't work after ROM flash, not even recovery/boot logo

My Friend gave me an S5 to fix. When you turned it on it would give some message about not loading the OS. I downloaded Odin and what I believe is the correct stock ROM SM-G900F O2 UK.
I managed to install the ROM fine however the screen has totally died. The phone wasn't dropped or anything. I can boot into Recovery and into the OS. Pressing the home button 3 times gives me audio description of the OS.
The screen does not even turn on to show the boot logo. I tried reinstalling the ROM (I had to get into recovery blind) but no joy. It's like a hardware issue however that seems too much of a co-incidence to have had it happen at the same time as flashing the ROM. The colour LED lights up and the side buttons light and vibrate.
Any ideas how to fix? All the blank screen stuff I've found via google the boot logo still shows.
side button lights? are you sure you have an s5 g900x

im betting he's referring to the capacitive buttons flanking the home button
Yeah I'm sure on the the phone is a G900F, I'm referring the side buttons. Any ideas? Can a ROM flash kill the screen totally?

Help! Update failed. Now I have Black screen with stripes

I wanted to update my mothers P8 lite, but somehow the update failed. it doesn't show the logo anymore when it boots. Now it shows a black screen with stripes, it even shows stripes when I boot to fastboot or even recovery. I wonder if something is wrong with the display driver. But the phone seems to work when its boots to the system. I can hear the volume sounds when I press the buttons, only the screen is still black with white stripes. I wonder if something is wrong with the display driver.
I tried to use the huaweiextractiontool and flash the individual img. files trough fastboot of different firmwares. Exept the the display the phone seems to work normally I can still boot into fastboot, and I hear the sound when booting. But its the still a black screen with stripes, and every frimware gives a different stripe pattern.
Any idea on how to fix this?
Greetings.
Problem solved
I solved the problem by flashing agian the last working firmware. And My mashing the volume buttons agian, it booted in recovery and the screen is restored agian.

Phone won't wake up after sleep (replaced Display)

Hello,
I've replaced the display of my Note 4x, but unfortunately, the screen only works until it goes into sleep. This means that the phone stays black and I have to completely reboot it.
In addition, the screen stays black while booting into the recovery mode (according to adb it is in recovery mode).
Does anybody know what can cause this problem?
Thanks in advance

I had that problem in a different device (umi super) although I didn't have custom recovery (mediatek chip, worst phone ever). My solution at that time was updating os to latest version.
My opinion to you is try to update firmware files or try using miui developer build.
Cumps
Thank you for your reply.
After reflashing the phone to stock rom, everything works fine.
