So i was looking for ways to improve the camera sharpness ( like the g3 if i recall correctly with an app or by modifying it )

Saying that by modifying the libs and cromatix could get u more sharpness etc
Any idea how can this be done ?
As far it goes i am not able to modify or open the chromatix though ...i cant even to look inside them for clues about the sharpness and overprocessing etc ..
Any clues or ideas on how to do stuff like that would be much appreciated
( using lg g5 h850 root stock rom )

Hi. I was curious like you and I even requested to join defcomg's Telegram group even though I know nothing about hex editing. Unfortunately I'm totally a noob so I failed to understand what they tried to teach me. If you want to know more about Hex workshop which is the application they used to modify lib files, give it a try Right now I'm still using third-party camera apps to reduce sharpness and noise reduction.

Hello.
I managed to take appart my camera exe (camera 3 for the Wizard) with reasource hacker. I finaly figured out why nobody can change the UI of this less than picture perfect app.
I would very much like to handle this project by making or editing the existing graphics for it. however, when I tried to update the immages, the app became corrupted. It lost the OEM-2005 cert. and would not load.
I know A LOT of wizard users and cooker would be happy to have an updated looking camera on our wizards.
I just need some directions on how to fix this signing problem, or how to get the certs out of the original and into the new one.
If any of you hackers know how to do this, could you please help. I know most users on this forum already have a much better looking camera starting with 4 and up; but us wizard users still have to look at the ugliest bitmaps ever crated!

Ok So this has been answered. I tried it. It worked. I can now edt the button graphics for the camera buttons!!!
since I only have a wizard... what is the latest camera? does anyone have graphics that came with it?? maybe screenshots?
I have been looking for graphics on line and can not seem to find a full set.
Prophet users have a bad camera too! 4.11 works, but destroys the battery...
At some point I heard of "unsigner" and MSSigner, one you run before the res-hack, and then the other you run after the res-hack to restore the signature...

Yep that's the process. Unsign, edit, re-sign.

I really hope this works! and hopefully the wizard owners can get an updated cam.
Forgive me if this is the wrong place to post this but I had an idea for a program/mod. I find it would be useful if there was a way to use your camera with displaying the camera program. Kinda like a stealth like photo mode. Maybe the center D pad could be the camera shutter button while the stealth program is running in the background so you can take pics run and gun. Unfortunately I am not a programmer and have no idea how hard this would be to do however this seems like the right place to be.
I suggest you develop your idea a little further, change the post and maybe try to talk to no2chem.. or oldsap..

Hi, I have a rooted Galaxy S5, and there are so many things that ruin the Android experience in recent Samsung models.
In particular, after search on the forum and on the internet I'm still looking for the solution to all these problems for my SM-G900F:
- Working WiFi Tether without errors
- Enable USB MASS STORAGE (http://www.xda-developers.com/android/usb-mass-storage-app-for-recent-samsung-devices/ don't work fine)
- Weather lockscreen without use of GPS
SOLVED:
- A kernel with dualboot: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2447534 (but with @gokhanmoral was simpler!)
- ENABLE SPELL CHECKER: menu enabled, but RED UNDERLINE for errors run only in ART runtime! (??) See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2728177
- Remove S Finder and Quick connect from Notification Panel (This and many other problems solved on this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2799050)
- Change bootanimation (tired without success Boot Animations root) Have to use something like http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2369587. To create and modify http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2189934
- Remove camera click (rename ALL four camera sound files)
- Change tone call keypad (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2124988&page=2)
I think the problems are common to many people. I will update the post with the solutions.

So you are asking someone to spend their afternoon searching for you? There are a lot of helpful people here and if you asked about some specific item no doubt someone would try to help. But to simply dump a laundry list and expect someone to fill it for you is..
If you did a forum search and read a few threads you could find any of those items yourself. So why don't you?

These are things that I still have not solved while sifting through the forum.
I was expecting some response from someone for the individual instances, even with possible links, not the entire list, of course.
Many people are simply just to lazy, and never read the forum rules.

Fair enough. But that is far from the impression that your first post paints. If you care to elaborate more about what you have tried, searched for and the results thereof i.e. show that you have been made a good effort, then I or someone else will help you with some or all of those.
For myself, I am a lot more interested in helping people who have tried to find information or fix issues themselves and /or describe their issues in detail (making it tremendously easier to troubleshoot issues).
Your first request - change bootanimation
The S5 boot animation can be changed with an app like [url="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.apps.boot.animations&hl=en]Boot Animations[/url]. Or you can use a file explorer and change the files yourself. You need root in either case. Alternately you can search for a flashable zip that changes a specific boot animation for you.
Boot animation files:

Sorry, is that now the Samsung have too many details as to fix and the list was much longer in the beginning.
I think it will be my last Samsung.
They are also very brief because of my bad English, but this is the best Android forum in the world and so I have to experiment with the language!
Thanks for the help and even in this case the app that I had tried to change the bootanimation (Boot Animations root) did not work.

For the camera sound, I had to rename all four camera sound files. Doing 1, 2 or 3 still got the sound.. FYI.
ps a silent camera is bliss.

Hello my friends, i was searching for a long time to increase my Note 3 " N9005 " camera quality, recording most importantly, how ever all i found was old dead threads ONLY tweaking on "media_profiles.xml" files .
And the "media_profiles.xml" is not working for some reason, either for the Android system updates or the fact that Samsung camera is not effected by the profile tweaks at all " most likely ".
So i searched for so long time for the last couple of month, but most if not all of the threads either old and dead or for another device and contain files cannot be used on any other system.
And since i'm working on some projects of mine require good recording quality because youtube already shaving the quality too much, i needed the extra details, and i cannot afford a DSLR for now, and the Note 3 should be more than fine after increasing the bitrate
Anyway thanks for reading folks, and if anyone can give me any tips or any way to change the camera quality PLEASE help me out, i do NOT need step by step or anything, and i'm willing to learn and dig my way into this, but i really need some help, and yeah by the way please do NOT say use the " search ", because i used it too much i think it is broken now

well after few search i found that i needed to play with the APK itself, so i did decompile the APK and i found the .smali files that i should modify, however i'm not sure which one to modify for the resolution quality, am i getting any closer people, any tips ??
