[APP][YotaPhone2] YotaTextCover

Introduction
Aaand here is another app for back screen of YotaPhone 2!
YotaTextCover makes it possible to display a custom text on the back screen of your YotaPhone 2. You can rotate the text in steps of 45° and optionally center it.
Just install YotaTextCover and choose it as cover in YotaHub.
If you see ghosting on the back screen after changing the text, please swipe to another screen and back so that the screen refreshes completely.

would like to see some automatic text rotation / movement at changable durations??
like a screen scaver would work (i known the epd doesnt require a screen saver)
maybe some images could be added ?? photos etc???

Images as background or instead of text is possible and maybe I add this feature. An option to automatically move/rotate/scroll the text or change it every x seconds/minutes/etc. would be great and I already thought about that, but I have not found out yet how to refresh the EPD from within a widget (and that is needed to prevent ghosting) - the documentation of YotaPhone SDK is a bit..uhm.. simple.
One of the points on my to-do list is to add Tasker support so you can display any text you want (time, date, battery, current wifi etc.).
I don't think YotaTextCover is ideal for note taking, but you can try "Notes" widget from Yota Devices (search for it in YotaHub).

I was waiting for something like this thanks a lot. I was thinking, if you update it to add the ability to change font and size and allow longer text.

If the widgets can be set to run Tasker tasks when pressed as well it would be perfect

It would be great if one could add a number of texts which then change from time to time. So exactly the same as this app provides, but one would write different texts and the app would cycle through these texts and change it regularely.

Galaxy S7 edge - wake up on notification and auto-expand in lockscreen

Hello,
Im looking for a solution to wake up the display when I receive a WhatsApp-Message and auto-expand it so I can read the message while driving without touching my device.
Is there a working solution?
My device:
- Samsung Galaxy S7 edge (SM-G935F)
- Phoenix ROM v2 (rooted + xposed installed)

Hi,
That are the Popups from whatsapp - they are annoying while driving.
I'd just like to wake up the screen for a few seconds and see if the message is important (like on a iPhone) - Google "iPhone lockscreen whatsapp" - first picture (can't post the link).

Yeah
iOS is much more user friendly but less customizable.
But I'm sure there is something out there to get something similar - at least I hope so :/

I think all of them will turn off fingerprint unlock

Hm - there were features like that in wanamkit and XBlast Tools and afaik fingerprint still worked.
But this modules are outdated.
Trying XNotifications right now.
EDIT: XNotifications doesn't seem to work - it just expands the notifications in the "notification bar" but not in the lock screen.

NiLS Lock Screen Notifications is working very well.
Still contacted the dev of PhoenixROM - maybe he will add something similar because it's really good

Hm - I tried gravitybox and when I got 2 messages it showed "2 messages from XY" - is there a way to show each message seperately with gravitybox?
Or is there a custom rom which supports this?

I really hate that design. Looking for an option or a theme that changes the navigation icons to the stock ones from marshmallow (hollow icons).

I wanted to have no icons at all to avoid burn in. If you find a way, let me know

Use nova launcher and hide the notification bar. Why worry about burn in. Amoled phone have been used since the galaxy s2 or before that and burn in hasnt been an issue in notification icons

The navigation bar icons can still be found in SystemUI.apk but Samsung has decided to store them in a proprietary SPR format. Replacing these files with PNGs and rebuilding the package does not work, so I am not sure how to proceed.

I`m not really worried about the top bar, but the bottom one as people are reporting burn in on it.

If you've tried it by replacing the icon with the same format that is. Qmg or .spr instead of .png ... hopefully help

Oh thanks for his suggestion. But i have changed its own with rom s8 and my device a5 2016. I thought to myself with my mind how to be able to change it .. and I get the result is really like like s8 .. see the picture

If you want how to set navigation bar congenital samsung so like s8 via root explorer I will help to be similar and this does not use this application with built-in system ui

Edge lighting

Ok so dont know if anybody has noticed this.
When the device was upside down...when you would recieve a call...the edge would light up to alert you of a call. Mine was always bright green.
Since the oreo update it seems that this feature does not work.
It seems to work for all other notifications apart from calls.
Is there a work-around?

Me too facing the same issue idge lighting doesn't show (faceup)

I liked this feature...hate the way samsung gives you something then takes it away with an update.

Well this does not work either. There is no difference between edge lighting+ and what is already installed on the device.
The issue is when the device recieves a call, the messages and other notifications work fine. This used to work fine until the oreo update

Anybody found a solution?

I have searched high and low for edge lighting + and haven't found anything. The badlock launder looks awesome, but it appears if we're on nougat, it isn't possible to install?
So, can anyone tell me if there is any way to enable face up lighting/s8 lighting features on our S7 edge on nougat, even if rooted?!

It does not do anythin different than what you device doea anyway.
It lights up when you get a text.
I wanted it to light up when i got a call when devicr was face down, seems like they have removed this feature.

Yes we are in the s7 edge forum.
The app is on galaxy apps, search edge lighting + and you will see a pink/yellow app.

Ok, I downloaded the edgelighting+ app from the apk site and when I open it, it directly opens the Galaxy apps store and gives me a message saying this app is no longer available or is not supported in this country or on this device. Any fix or ideas? I'm on the Chinese variant and have tried with and without VPN connected. And, for those who have this app, does it allow face up edge lighting?

[Theme] ExtraBlack Theme - Updated V2

very Minimal, very Black.
pretty straightforward black/white contrast.
includes the "Google Sans" beautiful Pixel font.
Installation:
Install the APK
Apply with Samsung Themes, it says trial but that's because it's not from the store
Reboot the device (important, it'll slow down until you will...)
Icon Pack Not Included
I'll let the Thumbnails speak for themselves.

No, this screws up apps with their own notification system (like WhatsApp) or requires and extremely ugly shadow....

The contacts app, the text on tab which is active is white, which is great. However, on the other tabs it looks like the font color is black, which makes it look like a blank tab. This can be found on all apps with tabs like in the Phone app. Please fix this as it is very important.
Otherwise it looks great!

It's great but with some bugs..if u fix that's best black theme ever!!

Only a disclamer: the nav bar buttons are a little big. And the notification icon in the notification shad could be in colour instead of black to help to
distinguish between others.

Keep getting theme engine crashes.. Reinstalled rebooted, still the same.

Install Good Lock 2018 from the Samsung App Store and you can customize the colors for it and a lot more.

It's managed from the Samsung themes app. You can also get there from settings - - - > wallpaper/themes
