Okay,i once installed mr2,when it was released, does anything changed?
I returned to old firmware, but i thought that something is changed or not???
is mr2 more stable now, these days?
I was using SEUS, is there a better way.
Thanks
IMHO you should install MR2, because so far it's the most stable firmware of X2, although not perfect but still it's stable.
i would say "if it aint broke then dont fix it" lol. if youre happy with the phone as it is then leave it alone. mr2 fixes a lot of bugs but can introduce some new ones. i find that it still locks up and crashes with mr2. it does fix the sms keyboard lag though.

hmmm a lot of people actually experience that phone lock up.. I dunno why I don't.. I lock my phone everytime I'm gonna turn it to standby mode and it doesn't lock up nor ask for passwords...
sorry i dont mean it actually literally "locks up" lol. i meant it just stops working. ill be writing an sms or something and thats it. nothing. it just freezes. i have to take out the battery to reset it.
and the sms vibrate disappearing is a major pain. its just done it again. does it at least once a day. ill be recieving texts and it vibrates each time. then i think ive not got any more messages and i have a look at my phone and ive got loads of texts but its not bothered to vibrate any more. i have to do a reset to get it working again.
apart from that its slightly faster than before and a lot of other bugs are eliminated. i just wouldnt recommened updating if youre happy with the X2 as it is.
in my experience with mr2 it is the best firmware for x2. has some downs but also has the ups.
what is mr2 please?

i think it stands for Maintenance Release 2, which is the name given to the 2nd major firmware update released by SE.
I have lollipop on my phone, and since I installed it am unable to actually pick UP a call. Usually when a call comes in the watch shows the number/picture and a little red sign peeking in from the left and a little green thing peeking in from the right. But with 5.0 the green thing is missing and swiping from the right does nothing at all. Any other kind of swiping and tapping either does nothing or disconnects the call.
Does anyone else have L and Wear, any help on this?

Hello guys
I can confirm what TjPhysicist said, I started experiencing the same thing when I updated to Lollipop on my Nexus 5, the Green button is missing, only the red one is there and sort of glitchy, besides, the quick replies when you swipe from the bottom are not the ones I have set on my phone.
I hope somebody knows what's happening here, there's a rumor that Google will be releasing Android wear 5.0 Lollipop in the first half of December, the issue might disappear then, you never know
And "TjPhysicist", I just wanted you to know that you're not the only one, it feels a little better when you know
Cheers

As far as I know, Android Wear is just not updated for Lollipop yet. So just be patient and wait Google to release an update. Wasn't the same thing with non working music controls on Lollipop devices?

Assuming it happens at all, no one's heard anything about any sort of expected eta....
Well, "Some of these changes won’t be ready until we migrate Android Wear to the Android L release later this year, but don’t fret: they’re coming!". That was 3 months ago. So, I hope we will see wear lollipop soon, or at least in this year

"As for a time frame, we’re hearing sometime in early December, which is about a month away."
Nothing's for sure yet but I like to keep my hopes up
Check the article, it's worth a read

There's a bigger issue at work here. Tasker tasks that could "pick up calls" cannot do so anymore either (however denying a call and so on works fine). Can someone who knows better enlighten us as to why this is the case? Is there some change in the way you need to pick up calls using API or something?
P.S: Everyone please star this: Issue 79683: unable to answer calls with android wear
For those of us that use the Weta ROM with Daydream enabled--or perhaps other methods suggested online--i found that the VR update just released breaks functionality. You can go through setup, etc, but at the point when you would put the phone in the headset to use it goes to an unending black screen. Anyone else seeing this as well? Any updates or suggestion on how to fix?

I have the same problem on a Honor 8. The only difference is, that my black screen dissappears after a few seconds and the phone returns to the launcher.

Hi Christian,
I've had that occur as well...though most of the time it just stays black. I notice if i reinstall the ROM and don't use the daydream compatibility patch it will actually go into VR mode...however it has a big white text box in the middle indicating that the phone isn't compatible, thus making it unusable.
Would be awesome if someone could fix this. My pricey Daydream HW is a paperweight right now...
The latest update (received 2 days ago) seems to fix the issue.

Damn, updated to current but still happening for me. :crying:
i want to daydream also. i have ls-997 with what appears to be the zva -- security patch sept 2017. looks like i wont root at all. it's ook i have a picasso device for my VR crap. FFFFFF
i want classic rom with root. add daydream files. you say this won't work??
[email protected]! there has to be a way. it can't possibly be testing the screen refresh to know it's bad! we have the vulkan what else does it need?? aargh!
seriously though, has anybody recovered their daydream or simply use it on the v20?
I just got this. The first October update was 105mb and I updated yesterday. IDK what this one is about.
Me too
I too have got it. Interesting..
It appears that they fixed the fingerprint and CPU lock bug along with the Smart Lock blank screen bug and the read and write speeds issues. I guess they finally did it. Next up is Pie I hope...
Here also. After yesterday an update was delivered, I am now offered a new update. The installation is now running. I noticed after yesterday's update that there were significant "memory / processing delays", which had previously not occurred on my device. The update is 203 mb, yesterday only 103.5mb were delivered.
Updated again with the 203mb . No the smart lock empty screen is not fixed. ?
¿? any change

Go to Settings, Security and Location and under Trust Agents disable Smart Lock, reboot the phone, go to Trust Agents again and enable Smart Lock and then try.
Version OPM1.171019.011.V9.6.15.0.ODIMIFE
Toke some time to install. It didn't disable CAMERA2API (installed before 9.6.14). I hope my battery gets better. Since last update battery was being drained really fast.
Which "base" version of GPlay Services do you have with october's patch? (For example, i can install an older version in august patch, like 12.6.89) is this possible in the latest update?

Buddy is camera 2 api still not enabled by default by xiaomi yet?

No. No camera2api by default. Hope Xiaomi enable it when they release pie. They are embarrassed to enable it as Gcam mods , put Mi camera application to shame.

Xiaomi can't move it so it will never be "fixed". You need to hold your phone differently.

Here you go, you can reset the proximity with this app.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiledirection.proximitysensorreset&hl=en
But the position of proximity sensor is really bad, especially for the left arm holding phone users, like my self...so, that will never be fixed of course.
@Benjamin_L What @ramir0 is saying is right. This is a bug which existed even before the phone went on sale and still not fixed.
Ok, so this update seems to be the real one with some bugs fixed, the first one (100Mb) was just security update, this one should have some fixes, but without changelog, who knows what...
EDIT:
I just did a quick Andro Bench test.
My writing speed goes up, from 174Mb to 220Mb, everything else is like before update.
with February security patch.
new fix bugs?
What's changed, i don't know. Can someone explain?
G8341 cihazımdan Tapatalk kullanılarak gönderildi
Seems nothing new
Apps can now deleted from menu (earlier - only via draggin on home screen and then delete)
camera still works without drm keys?
sure
hello, how about battery drain after the latest update? I just saw a video recommending to do not update to Pie, because many features of Oreo and Nougat are gone and functions are limited, and a battery life is reduced. the review was made few months ago, though. are there any major changes with following updates? do you recommend to update? thank you.
Hi, what do you all think of the new Pie update?
What happens if, for once, there is a system update notification, it is being ignored and nothing done?
My first smartphone being HTC, then switching to Samsung twice, i don't recall getting system update notifications every now & then from the mentioned brands.
yesterday I have updated to this version via OTA.
today I notice GPS does not work (tested with Maps and GPS test).
does anyone have experienced this issue?
Not going to update my XZ1 to Pie. It seems Google has disabled third party call recording apps such as ACR within Pie. This functionality is very important to me in my work. So unless I'm going to root my phone in order to get around this I can't use call recording app. This is a major to me and many many others.

I got four darker spots on camera - two are darker and two are barely noticeable. At first I thought it was a hardware issue (dirty lens or faulty sensor), but I found, that this happened to some of the different Xperia phone users before after a software update. Can anyone else confirm that?
Just updated. GPS and camera are fine and everything seems really quick. Or maybe that's because I just rebooted and I don't do that so often
I can't use my device anymore, it's laggy as hell and so bad, that no one wants to buy it for even 150€
