I have this weird problem with my tab 2 p3110. I flashed it long ago with slimkat custom rom. The problem now is that Google services stopped working and I can't use May tab anymore. I downloaded stock rom and tried flashing it via odin. It took about an hour or more to finish flashing. Odin showed "success" but after rebooting it was still in the same custom slimkat rom. I tried flashing it couple of times but same result. Samsung tab 2 p3110.. Please help me what to do. Thanks.
Sounds like the end of life bug.
Search android andi's threads and github. He's done some research in it. I'm afrsid the fix is to replace the motherboard.

The last time I've updated my SGS1 to ICS, it started after about 1 to 2 weeks, to slow down and it always ended in a bootloop. It just start to restart more and more often. I tried different ROM's, none worked. I tried to flash a Kernel after it starts to reboot - nope. Then I installed the original Samsung ROM, since it works.
Does anyone have any idea why the original ROM does and the costumer ROM does not?
Root? The kernel? Or maybe a hardware problem?
For about 2 years I use customer ROM's and have not had such problems. And you know, it is kind of hard to get back to GB... really...
Thanks for your ideas!

At a guess this is the datadata problem, usually caused when you have more than approx 150 apps installed, do a search for the various solutions

Now iam on XXDJV1 - it should be the latest version of the original Samsung ROM's. I did flash it with Odin, after that i deletet everything on the phone, flashed a CWM, cleared caches, flash with the zip files (Clean AOKP was the latest).... but do you think it could be different when i start it from the edge? Is there something i can do in a different way?
I really was thinking about Hardware defects, viruses or problems with the root/kernel...
Hey guys, I am having trouble flashing a new rom onto my phone. I used to flash my Galaxy S3 almost every day, and for some reason, I am having trouble with the S4. I have rooted it, and installed Team Win Recovery Project v2.5.0.2 and sometimes the Rom will flash and work, like PA worked first time, so did MIUI Rom, but trying Most of the others they either say failed, or... they go through the whole installation process through the Recovery for Android Revolution HD, and then it boot loops, take battery out, put back in and wipe everything and it just stays on the first Samsung Logo and that's it.
Is there something I am missing?
I am wiping eveyrthing as well before I do it.
Any help will be really appretiated
Thanks

My bad lol, in work and was typing fast.
Basically, when I flashed ParanoidAndroid on my phone, and it worked great, then I changed it to MIUI which worked great,
then I decided to Flash Omega Rom, which was fine, but the WIFI doesn't work for me.
So I tried to Flash Android Revolution and it goes through the Installation Process with no problems and goes into Boot Loop, even though I have done a full wipe of the device.
I am in the middle of Flashing Android Revolution now, for the 3rd time, and it has been on 10% installation for 10 minutes. This is all it says at the moment...

Sorted, thanks anyway.
Just incase someone else is in the same situation,
All I did was take the battery out for 30 minutes or around that time, and just flash the rom, I didn't wipe or anything else, just flashed and done.
For people having Wifi issues, flash a different Kernel like Adam Kernel, that seems to work for me.

Sweet, cheers mate = )
I've been having this problem for a couple weeks now. There hasn't seemed to been any pattern, my nexus 4 decides to reboot and then the battery usually goes down to 0. I am on PA now but before it was stock everything. I restored but that didn't help, then a fried suggested a new kernel so I rooted and flash Franco. However nothing had helped so far. Any ideas? I'm not going to go into specifics about the exact versions because it'll be stated below. So I just need some suggestions, this appeared a couple weeks after I was prompted to update to 4.3. Weirdly I was on 4.3 already but just went through with the update and 2 weeks after I have this. I was thinking of possibly flashing a 4.2.2 based ROM and an older version of the Franco kernel. Will this help? Or is a new battery all together I more logical way to go. Do y'all think it's a software or hardware issue. If more info is needed I'll be happy to reply, thank you  Also I know this has been posted before but I couldn't find an actual solution... So hopefully this isn't taken off... Thanks Everyone.

Most probably its a Software porblem.
My suggestion is you should try another rom as many PAusers have some or the other issue with the rom or the kernel they use with it.
GO for Slimbean heck lot of features and try any JWR kernel. Iwould go with franco or hellcore test5JWR.
Press thanks if I helped you. :good:
P.S : Please do a clean install, factory reset before flashing Slim
I'll try that, thanks.

As I know Chrome beta had this issue...so if you got it install just remove it
So... I did the stupid thing. I attempted to go back to my old MF9 backup through TWRP after upgrading to MJA, and now my wifi won't even turn on. I've been trying to figure this out for a few hours now, trying various fixes. I've tried to use ODIN to flash back to complete stock, but that just destroys my phone until I flash a recovery through ODIN. Everything I've seen on the forums so far has made it seem as though there is no hope since Samsung added in Knox.
I'm sorry if this has been resolved elsewhere, but I've literally been searching the General. Q&A, Android Development, Original Android Development, and Developer forums for several hours today with no luck. Can someone please help me with this? I just want my phone to be fully functional again...
EDIT:
Here's the deal; my main problem was with Wifi not working. The Stock MF9 Kernel was not working, but the 4.2.2 TW Kernel found here finally did.
did you try this?

Yes. Nothing changed when I did that. I suppose that I should call out that I am currently on MF9.

i just gave up on trying to do a restore. I actually used Titanium to get as much information from my old backup as possible then just rolled with it. I know that probably isn't what you wanted to hear but that what worked for me.. hope that helps
I have read that the WiFi issue may be a Kernel issue.. Did you try a different TouchWiz kernel and see if it worked out?

This is actually what I was trying to do, sadly. Titanium was backing up my info to the phone storage rather than the SD card, and I had to do a data wipe to get to MJA, so I lost them. I figured I could restore to my MF9 backup to redo them, and that's when the trouble started.
I finally got it working. I had to try several different kernels until one finally worked. Now about flashing a new ROM...

What kernel did you use and how did you install it? I'm having a similar issue and can't find a fix.

Scott, check my first post. I edited it with a link to the page with the kernel I used. Make sure that you choose the correct kernel for your Android version. The MF9 and MJA designators have nothing to do with which kernel you need, so make sure to check in your "aboout phone" section to find out what android version you're running. Using the 4.3 kernel on 4.2.2 will cause a bootloop, which is easily fixed by flashing the correct kernel.
I currrently have a Galaxy s5 sm-g900v. Two days ago, I flashed Alliance rom via Safestrap and everything was great until my wifi starting acting dumb. It refuses to turn on, just hangs. I have tried flashing the modem, and Blaze kernel, hoping it would fix it, but no luck. I unrooted and Odin'd back to complete stock, and it STILL won't work. Somebody please give me some pointers on how I can fix it Help would be GREATLY appreciated.

i would do a clean wipe and flash stock rooted rom.
i had something similar but not as extreme as yours.
i was on ricks rom and it didnt autoconnect and id have to put in the password everytime i connected.
i clean wiped and installed stock rooted 4.4.4 and all is fine.
keep trying different roms if until you find one that works.

Youve posted this in two threads and althought it might work it has nothing to do with ricks rom as many others including myself have been using ricks rom flawlessly.. Id say wipe and flash the rom over again fresh and see if that works.. But saying try another rom isnt a good solution when ricks rom works just fine 99% of the time

Just giving help to those that need it based on my experiences. It just so happens that ive been on ricks rom and i had that issue. Nothing against rick and his rom but thats the situation and thats how i fixed my issues.
I believe when you are using safestrap you are supposed to flash the kernel modules to get Wi-Fi to work. Or am I mistaken about that?
Thanks guys, but I got it working by factory resetting from stock recovery.
