need help about twrp - Xiaomi Redmi 3s Questions & Answers

guys anyone know fastboot command to flash twrp where phone automatically boots in twrp after flashing recovery image. it is a single command not other fastboot reboot command. Due to virus attack I lost my all data in laptop and all the info about redmi 3s which I had saved, gone with it.
also after flashing latest twrp twrp-3.3.1-1-land.img i am getting so many errors while wiping system, data, vendor, cache.
yes I has successfully able to flash stock rom and boot into it. but as and when I install latest recovery and try to install custom rom I am not able to wipe anything.
early help would be greatly appreciated.

[SOLVED]A500 Stuck on OS Load

Tired, Frustrated and Helpless I am at the moment.
My A500 was running OK with a Jelly Bean Rom( I forgot which one) with Skrilax_CZ's bootloader V8 and CWM v5.5.0.4.
I decided to try a different Jelly Bean Rom. Forgot to keep a CWM backup and my misery started.
Any rom and gaps will install fine. But after reboot it will be stuck on Cyogenmod or Android LOGO. I have tried several ROM. Exact same result.
This happened a few months back and after trying numerous times I gave up for that time.
But I need to get the tablet back to working.
So, since yesterday I have been trying my best to get this one to work.
Started with "[A500 & A501] Android 4.4.4 (OmniROM unofficial)".
According the installation note for that rom, I installed CWM 6.0.4.5 on secboot following the "[Recovery]CWM 6.0.4.5[UPDATED WITH INSTRUCTIONS][25/12/2013]" process.
Same exact situation. ROM will install then after reboot it will be stuck on OS load.
Tried with a few other older rom such as CM10-FLEX_V6Supercharged_Rev3.4. Same issue.
I even, Installed TWRP recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.6.3.0-a500 on secboot. Same Issue.
Then, Updated Skrilax_CZ's bootloader V8 to Skrilax_CZ's bootloader V9. Same Issue.
Weird thing is now when I go to "CWM 6.0.4.5" from "Skrilax_CZ's bootloader V9", CWM doesn't really let me do any task. Any menu I enter on CWM 6.0.4.5 it freezes and then reboots the tablet. But initially when I first installed CWM 6.0.4.5 on secboot it worked for the first few times.
I am a noob in this. I do not want to try anything else myself as I think I will eventually brick the device and there will be no coming back.
I have searched on XDA for this issue. Many other people have similar issue with a500 but I couldn't find any situation same as mine.
Need help from you awesome people.
I do not want to give up on this tablet. But without your HELP I am lost.
Please HELP.

Have you tried wiping the device in fastboot mode? If not, try that!
The partitions to wipe are system, data and cache. The command is "fastboot erase cache".

tried that. same issue.
it keeps circling on cyanogenMOD logo.
Apologies for reply late. I was not well and could not attend to you reply.
anything else i can try?
Please help.
Hey Bro,
I had exactly the same issue. What I did to solve it, was to delete all folders manually. Boot to recovery and choose "mounts and storage". Unmount everything and then format every folder. Then Wipe everything again. Reboot and flash the image with recovery. Then everything should work fine.
Same here
I have had exactly the same issue and haven't yet found a decent solution.
Mine was stuck on the Acer logo with the stock ICS ROM.
I found my CPUID and SBK, the linux way.
I tried everything you tried, managed to have bootloader V9 installed, TWRP as a recovery (Thor's version), CWM as secboot.
I was able to wipe and flash with no errors, but it would always stuck on the Acer logo. No custom ROM would ever boot.
I will definitely try Unimatrix-zero's solution and tell you guys if it worked for me.
So far, the only thing that worked for me was to use an EUUs package (GEN1) to get back to stock HC 3.01.
As you may guess, there are no more OTA updates via wifi in 2014.
So I downloaded several update packages and so far I only managed to update to HC 3.2. I haven't yet found a working package for stock ICS.
Anyway, if Unimatrix-zero's workaround actually works, a custom ICS ROM will do the trick for me.

Significant result but did not resolve the issue.
As you have mentioned, I have wiped off everything that i can find in the recovery menu.
rebooted after that to recovery and for the first time I could go to TWRP 2.7.
tried to install a custom rom. but same issue. Either it reboots when I tried omni rom 4.4.4 on the "booting from primary" menu or the CM blue circle going on forever, when I tried with a CM 10.1 rom.
and just now after trying the cm 10.1 rom it went back to the way it was before. now the TWRP 2.7 will just keep on blinking on the screen .
Help bro...help....
You can try the following fastboot commands to wipe your device:
fastboot erase boot
fastboot erase system
fastboot erase data
fastboot erase userdata
fastboot erase cache
And then flash the rom.

Lost recovery, cant boot, only fastboot

Guys... when i tried to flash oos 3.0 on my op2 through twrp, i first wiped the data to install new rom, then install oos 3.0, it failed. I then flashed the recovery i downloaded from the thread, then restart the recovery
I cant boot into the recovery.
System can't boot
Is it called "brick"?
So i tried to flash stock recovery in pc by command, but it says "remote: device is locked. cannot flash images". any solution to this problem?
I can boot into fastboot mode
You need to run the phone in Qualcomm mode on a PC and run the recovery tool to fix you bootloader.
I did the same and it was a royal ball ache trying to find out how to fix it
Don't do what rosswaa said
Why not?
What you should do is boot your phone into fastboot mode, connect it to your pc. Flash this modified TWRP recovery img to your phone https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297945. After that you have to flash this modified SuperSU (through the new recovery) https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24459283995297946.
The normal recovery doesn't work in OOS 3.0 (just like in HOS) and it's the SuperSU that gives you the soft brick. A dirty flash of the modified SuperSU should fix it.
I also had your problem and I did what rosswaa said which shouldn't be necessary (I lost all my data and backups).
I didn't lose anything, but I tried doing what you said and my bootloader was screwed so wouldn't take a flashed recovery or anything (yes the modified one)
Wish I hadnt been so excited and just flashed but all sorted now
Hmm okay, if it doesn't work with flashing the new recovery img then do what rosswaa said and after that follow this post https://forums.oneplus.net/threads/installation-instructions-faqs-oxygenos-3-0-0.439108/
Obviously try what green says first, if it works then happy days
first i am really glad that someone give some advices on me. But since i am a noob, how can i flash twrp in fastboot mode? using command? "fastboot flash recovery xxx.img"? thx

Since you have unlocked BL flash latest twrp fast. Rename it something short so it will be easy to type
Okay i did that it got into the opening screen for twrp then it rebooted automatically.
FIXED: okay i tried again and it sdidnt reboot what would i do next?
nice that you can now reboot to recovery, all you have to do is flash a custom ROM and gapps. Were you on stock LL or MM ROM before you bootloop? Sorry with the late reply, Im busy with work. Quote my reply so I can receive notification.

I was on stock MM (Marshmellow). Thank you, you've been so much help.
You can flash CM13/14 base ROM without a problem since you were on stock MM. If you decided to wipe system in TWRP, manually power off first in TWRP, wait for the phone to turned off then reboot back to TWRP and flash your new ROM and GAPPS. Do not reboot to system if you wipe system cause you might lose your recovery.
Edit: I only do this when I also wipe Internal Storage.

FAILED to install ROM (

Hello, I failed to install a custom ROM and now when it gets to eRecovery mode I only have the options to reboot, shutdown and download latest verison and recovery. Of course, the download option doesn't work. I tried to get it back to the stock, the adb sees the device only when it's powered off, and it says unauthorized. The only time the fastboot devices show something is when the phone is in the fastboot mode I think and on the phone it displays: PHONE Unlocked and FRP unlock
When i try to fastboot flash system.img it says that FAILED <remote: Command not allowed>.
I tried to search for answers, can anyone help me please? I am doing this for 2 days...
LATER EDIT: I flashed boot, recovery, system. And now the options i have are: reboot system now, wipe data/factory reset, wipe cache partition. wipe data/factory reset just stops after 20%. What can I do?
Which device variant are you using? Which custom ROM did you try to install ? I think it would be better to post on the ROM's post...
Anyway fastboot should be use to flash recovery only, not a system. I'll recommand you to grab TWRP, install it via fastboot (fastboot flash recovery twrp_image_name.img . When it is installed, reboot recovery , back up product and vendor, Wipe everything and flash stock ROM.

Stuck in fastboot, did I brick my phone?

Hey there,
sorry, noob here.
Trying to get an old Redmi 7A up and running again:
Unlocked the bootloader
entered fastboot mode
flashed TWRP
booted successfully into TWRP
wiped data
rebooted into twrp
wiped system, data, dalvik and cache
twrp is gone, stock recovery returned
reflashed twrp
fastboot reboot recovery
back in fastboot
power off, power on
automcatically back in fastboot
I cannot access anything but fastboot now.
What am I missing, what did I do wrong?
Thank you very much!
If you're stuck into fastboot try reflashing the stock rom from the official xiaomi site here
Select the fastboot version of your rom, then use MiFlash Tools to revert back your rom using the flash_all_lock.bat file.
To make miflash to work I had to add a log folder and inside an empty [email protected] file before launching it otherwise you'll get errors.
i think your mistake was wiping before installing custom rom. Follow the instruction closely
