I need help fixing camera on J510FN firmware for J500FN i have tried almost everything, but nothing works, i have all logcats .so files all i need to make it work but i don't understand why it isn't working. I got to the point where camera app just crahses. Any input will be helpful, hopefully!

Bit more clarity please, you own a J510FN? So why are you trying to use J500FN? What android version are you using, and which BL. Please attach logcats

He owns j500fn and is porting a j510fn rom and the camera is buggy. Thats why he is trying different firmware.

Yes, but right now camera is just crashing, sensors are picked up in aida64, all i have to do is port camera app, witch i don't know how!??
Na you can't use the J510FNs camera libs in the J500 take the J500s own libs from another ROM and again I need to know which Android version he's trying to use, each one has a different Camera HAL which isn't compatible with the previous

And aida64 will pick it up presumably because it can see the Libs, it gives no indication whether they are the right ones or not

Humm... Rogue ROM was compatible with all LG G3. He only provided a different kernel for each model. So I think this source code should be compatible with all LG G3 model, that is a good thing!
I will try the source, and let you know if i can get something working.

Right now, i am trying to build Android (for d855) from AOSP with sources provided by LG at opensource(.)lge(.)com , and then I will try to port the AOSP rom through Pathrom.

i dont know anything from porting roms or anythin else but i installed the XCU version of cyanogenmod 12.1 for sm-g530h and all works perfect
except the camera and the rotation sensor. i hope i helped you. sorry for bad english

It works! Front camera works, back camera and rotation doesn't. I've copied some drivers from my TWRP backup for the camera but it seems I didn't copied them all. Thank you again for this info!

It seems russians are first with a bootable Oreo ROM.

Yeah... except that the developer has not released source code, and has not shared any further info or build. but it seems major trivial issues are already resolved, camera and FP should be fairly difficult. sensors lets hope will be fixed soon.

No, the chip is 64-bit, but OS (Miui) and kernel is 32-bit. Maybe if 64-bit custom roms are there in future you can use GCam, but not for now.
Friend, you dont need 64-bit OS to run Gcam, it can work well on 32-bit OS, just need some tweaks.
Here is my modified version to work with Redmi 7A Global Version, it stable and improves camera quality a lot over the stock app it also include Slow-Motion mode and EIS for Video Recording.

There is something going on at 4pda, I don't speak and write russian myself but there is a tutorial on google to register and read the captcha. Trust me, worth it.
