So I'm looking to upgrade to the V20 from my aging Flex2. I'm a power user, so I like to be able to customize as many aspects of my experience as I can. I live in Australia, so I need to know 3/4 things mainly:
1. Which variant should I buy to work in Australia? Am I right to assume the US996 variant would work fine unlocked? I'm currently using an unlocked AT&T variant of the Flex 2.
2. How important is the bootloader unlock? I saw that LG has released an unlock for the US996 variant, but is it required for a lot of custom ROM support? Are there unlocks for other variants?
3. Which variant has the most dev support/activity? If I were to put a custom ROM on the phone instead of just sticking with stock rooted, is it better to get a global variant over the US996 one? The H918 T-Mobile variant looks to have the most custom ROM support on the Dev section.

Hi everyone. I've got a fully unlocked T-Mobile LG G6 H872 and struggling to find a way to remove T-Mobile boot / splash screen and bloatware. Is there any possibility to do it without any risk? I'm thinking about flashing 10T firmware for H870 but afraid of bricking the phone. I see no hardware differences between these two devices. Thanks in advance.
If you flash the H870 firmware you will brick your phone. Try using adb comands to remove bloadware. Search one post in xda that explain the procedure and it is 100% working.
LG Package Disabler will let you disable any app, including TMO and other crap that does not allow you to Disable in the App section.

1) How did you get your G6 (H872) fully unlocked (PLEASE SHARE)?
2) Can you download your stock ROM and post it here so the devs can work on the ROOT and/or the vanilla ROM version? Thank you!!

I just sold my Nexus 6 and looking at LG V20. I usually customize and flash ROMs. I am looking at two different LG V20 models.
1) South Korean F800
2) Unlocked USA models (VS995, US996, H918)
3) Any European model? (Do they have great ROM support?)
I want to make sure that phone is able to unlock bootloader, root, and have great custom ROM support. Which model is best suitable for me?

I believe a big factor is the patch level... right now mine is on 10R which I believe is un-rootable.

H918 would be the best bet. Just patch lvl is what will kill you. Need anything below 10P

Same thing here.
l hate LG devices because of LS997.
can't root it, can't flash custom roms and returns to stock whenever I want.
This model is not developers friendly.
So I go to mid-range device that has a lot of development and custom roms (xiaomi redmi note 5).
Shame on sprint and LG to make this device out of development even after its EOL.
I won't buy another LG phone in the future.

My phone is Model HD1925, purchased in B&H.
- there was no option to flash international / stock non t-mobile firmware in 2021 at least. Is it possible to do now?
- if flash international/non t-mobile firmware/rom is not possible, is it a way or need top get rid off from T-Mobile soft ?
- is it another custom ROM which can be installed?
There are several sites, I have found which provide an instructions to flash international firmware, but this is really opposite to xda forum and makes me suspicious.
The phone will be given to a kid, so I prefer to clean it up from unneeded SW and also keep it up to date due to security reasons.
I'm not living in USA and not care about 5G.
The phone is SIM unlocked and bootloader unlocked using OnePlus .bin file.
Current version is 11, April 1, 2022 Update.

Hey, there. I'm sorry to tell you that you can't do that, because the hardware of 1+7tpro International Edition is very different from that of McLaren special edition. Before your release, I have tried to use the 9008 after-sales firmware of Chinese Version (hd1910) to brush into this phone, but unfortunately, this phone can't work, and even entered Qualcomm's crash mode. My suggestion is to use ADB to freeze all programs related to T-Mobile, so, You can enjoy 5g and later OTA updates.

If we will try to unlock bootloader without tocken then what will happened???. There will show error or mobile will go stuck or brick???
