Dasaita PX6 Android Auto with Headunit Reloaded vs. CarPlay USB Dongle - Android Head-Units

Hi guys,
What is the difference between running Android Auto on a Dasaita Max6 PX6 (that does not have the CarPlay dongle built in) using Headunit Reloaded vs. using the CarPlay USB Dongle (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32830020041.html)?
Is the dongle worth buying if I always use android phones?
Thanks!

This is an old post, but I'll answer it for anyone who stumbles upon it later like i did (it comes up pretty high on google).
If all you care about is android auto, and not carplay, I think Head Unit Reloaded is better. It lets you adjust the resolution and dpi, and supports day/night mode. The built in app with the dongle doesn't offer either of these things. HUR can also do wireless if you setup a hotspot.

Apple carplay question

A lot of new head units I've seen are coming out with wireless carplay. I currently have a Phoenix android 9 inch head unit and was wondering if there was a way to install apk so that I could have Carplay on my headunit without having to buy a dongle or use a wired connection. Thanks for any help in advance.
I'm pretty sure you can not. Wired Car-play up until recently has needed a dongle to connect to iOS and it's only now that some Android headhunts have been having it built in, but even then it's not exactly openly available to re-create (at least I think). Wireless Carplay is REALLY recent and may take awhile before it gets cracked to run on android (if it ever will).

Atoto A6 have to buy $50+ USB dongle to use Android Auto??

When I purchased this head unit last year and installed it; everything work perfectly. No issues.
But when I went to use Android Auto with it, no luck. I installed it on my smart phone, connected to USB from the head unit. It never recognized the A6.
I emailed ATOTO support and the reply I got was "Google won't license our units to be compatible". That does not make sense. Since when does a Chinese company care what Google things about their product? I though "WTH is that all about??". It wasn't not long after Atoto release a USB dongle, or converter that goes between your phone and head unit to enable Android auto.
It cost over $50 bux. This unit is a year old (as of this spring) and has Android 6 (marshmallow). It is by no means out of date.
Is there any light that anyone can shine on this issue??
Thanks
Try A6 q&a thread, but sounds like you have self answered.
You can use the headunit reloaded app, I use it on my A6 premium.
Do many people use this currently for Wireless Android Auto? Does this work with these ATOTO A6 units?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 and headunit Reloaded just stopped working for me.

Is the reloaded app still the preferred solution or is it possible to update to Android 9+ to have embedded AA? Also, will HU reloaded work with one of the new AA wifi dongles to auto launch on entry into the car and power to the HU?

Advice about android head units

Hi,
I'm going to be buying a 2nd car (2013 VW Tiguan) but one thing I know I will miss from my current car is android auto. I have looked into various head units but the most cost effective head with a large display is an android head unit. The joying 10.1" looks good. I have a question about internet connectivity though. When I plug my phone in via USB does it automaticlly use that as a data source or do I have to set it as a hotspot for the unit? Equally can I use android auto on the head unit or do I have to use Google maps that's already installed and Google Play Music apps on the actually unit?
Many thanks
Some Android head units are Android Auto compatible. Look for that in the item description. If it doesn't say it is then assume it's not.
For me, I have to use my phone as a hotspot to get data connectivity.
My unit is not Android Auto compatible (Android 9). I get along with it ok but wish I had done more research prior to purchasing.

Dasaita HA-2186-MAX10 Bluetooth Low Energy

I have the above head unit fitted and working fine in my car but I have an engine management device that contains a bluetooth low energy module in it. I would like to connect to this module via the provided app however it appears my head unit does not see or connect to BLE devices.
Does anybody know of a USB type device that I can connect to the head unit which will provide the ability to connect to BLE devices?
I'm using standard Dasaita android 10 and 3.69C.
Thanks
I have a similar issue. I have an Axxess signal processor which you make adjustments to it through Bluetooth. The processor connects to my phone but won't even be seen by my head unit (Dasaita max10). These head units only seem to recognize a phone or (select) obd dongles. It's pretty basic. I have been looking for ways to expand this, but so far unsuccessful.

I think I need an Android Auto adapter, what should I buy?

Bought a Vanku Px6, and the Android Auto functionality seems lacking. I can't find a way to keep the connection while my screen is off for example. Overall disappointed in the Android Auto experience.
Is there a different app I should use or an adapter that would work better?
The only other radio I've used with Android Auto is a pioneer unit, maybe I'm expecting too much.
Thank you everyone!
Buy a genuine Android auto unit, adapters are NOT Android Auto, you are probably confused.
