[Q] Is the Verizon variant internationally locked?

Hi,
Does anyone know if this model comes internationally unlocked from the provider?
I'm looking for a Note 3 to use outside of the US.. I bought a Sprint variant on ebay and found that it has to be unlocked by the carrier for international use, so it's just sitting as a paper weight for the last couple months.
Does the Verizon model have the same issue?
Thanks.

The verizon note 3 is globally unlocked to any carrier and any country that supports it's bands. I believe you need to call verizon so they can turn on the global feature on your account when you're traveling.

International Unlocked Version?

I looked on Samsungs site and only see the 4 major carriers. I've been looking for an actual international GSM version because I'm tired of getting stuck with the At&t locked down, no fun standard device. I find very little info about the g928c which I'm only guessing at this point, is a European version. I ordered the 64gb At&t version but would sell my Nex 6, and my 128gb S6E for an unlocked S6+. Any luck finding anything else out would be great to hear.

You can buy a TMo phone & cell unlock it so it can be used internationally. Generally, TMobile phones come with an unlocked bootloader also, so they can be rooted. I use an unlocked TMobile phone on the AT&T network.

I am looking to buy an international unlocked as well, I was going to order one off eBay, but I am waiting for a silver 64gb to show up.
The carriers mark them up so I won't pay non contract price. Guess I'll wait until they are more available.

Unlocked version for the States

Anyone know when the unlocked G6 will hit the States? I keep checking various retailers but nothing so far.
I came across this seller on eBay - is this legit? Should I be worried about buying an International unlocked version? Which would be more likely to get more timely updates - unlocked States or unlocked International?

I purchased the one in the link you posted and I'm in love with it. 64gb of storage and quad dac plus I'm not having any issues at all on the t-mobile network.
An unlocked version looks good but it appears it will not work on Verizon. Which is too bad since the Verizon version has a few features removed like FM radio and LG Smart settings.

According to the b&h photo website, the unlocked version will work on all carriers in US and has the right bands for Verizon. Hard to say if it's 100% accurate as it's not released yet, although they say expected release is mid May and it's $100 off right now $599. Here's the link:

Yes, I did some more research on this and it appears the one at b&h photo is US unlocked and works on Verizon. Ebay and amazon have the international unlocked GSM version as of now. It is reasonable to assume in the near future the US unlocked versions will be available from many more sellers though.

Usually it starts with b&h photo and best buy for the lg unlocked versions and eventually other sellers, at least that was the way it was with us unlocked rs988 g5. Only good part is that lg allowed official bootloader unlock for the rs988 (us unlocked g5) but they did it almost a year after release Hopefully with the g6 they don't do the same thing. Would be good if the us unlocked version also bootloader unlockable and working on all carriers guess we will have to wait and see.
Well they started offering free google home with the b&h photo us unlocked version so I pre-ordered one today. Hopefully LG will do a decent job with Android updates. My previous LG phones were on Verizon. Pretty excited to try an unlocked Android phone for the first time without carrier bloatware and disabled features.

Model number descrepancy

I ordered the Samsung Galaxy S10+ Plus Factory Unlocked Phone with 128GB (U.S. Warranty), Prism Black from Amazon few days ago. The model number on Amazon's page was SM-G975UZKAXAA but the phone I received has the model number SM-G975U1ZKAX. What is the difference between these two models? Should I get the replacement with the exact model as advertised?
Currently SM-G975UZKAXAA is out of stock and Amazon will ship the replacement in September which is a month and a half away. I am thinking if the two models aren't vastly different, I may keep the one I received. I've been doing some research and reading that U is a carrier locked and U1 is unlocked but Samsung's website says the U is factory unlocked. And I'm not sure what the last two letters "AA" means which my model doesn't have.

They are both US unlocked models. SM-G975UZKAXAA appears to be a business model with some extra enterprise software while SM-G975U1ZKAX is the consumer model. Hardware and price are identical for both.
I talked to Samsung about the model number issue today. They couldn't even find the model SM-G975U1ZKAX in their system. I gave them the IMEI on the box (which matches the IMEI on the phone) and was told the phone is actually SM-G975UZKAXAA as advertised on Amazon. They weren't sure why the box would say the model number is SM-G975U1ZKAX. The phone itself shows SM-G975U1 as the model number (no ZKAX). If I believe the Samsung rep, the phone should say SM-G975U. The phone looks and works great otherwise.

(For those who don't know, G975U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the Galaxy S10+. The G975U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100% interchangeable among any of those models.)

I'm not sure if I understand this right from the link you provided. So G975U and G975U1 are both unlocked US versions of the S10+. However the G975U1 is factory unlocked by Samsung where as the G975U is unlocked by its respective carrier (i.e. ATT, Verizon, T-Mobile, etc). Did I get this right?

Where I come from U1 is unlocked. Do you have a "carrier" splash screen when booting up? If not then you have a U1 unlocked model.
Edit and to add. SM-G975U1 is the model identifier for USA unlocked model . I'm not familiar with SM-G975UZKAXAA, it could be like other poster said another variant of an unlocked model.

If you simply do a Google search for the model number that you find so incredibly perplexing the official Samsung web page for enterprise (aka large businesses) will show up and list that specific and complete model number as the US unlocked enterprise model that includes Dex software which is Samsung business software for enterprise collaboration and keeping tabs on employees.
You can believe whatever you like but it's pretty amazing that supposedly tech savvy people on XDA don't even know how to use the internet.

Is the Verizon version gsm unlocked?

Hi,
Do all Verizon REDs come factory unlocked?
I specifically avoided ordering the Verizon branded even when stated unlocked for use in another region with worldwide GSM & LTE, I think & prefer T-Mobile & AT & T ....
