is my battery damaged ? I have tried many ROMs and on all of them I'm having a very bad battery life. I have everything turned off and my brightness is 0% and the battery drains super fast. what should I do ?
1. Do factory reset
2. Exchange the phone if option 1 doesn't work...good working G2s don't perform like your phone is @ the moment

What's the problem with that exactly? (Most issues with battery life are user problems - usually a poor wipe / flash regime and using poor quality apps and heavy syncing. I assume you have used the usual wakelock detection procedures).

Por signal will drain your battery.
Mostly apps are draining it post a screanshots of your battery stats.
Install gsam to see what's draining..

What do you define as "very bad", and how do you actually use your phone?
We can't guess to help you.

Yes, that's a big one on ma d802. If i'm in a room with bad connection, the battery goes down much faster then usual.

I would try to reset everything to factory, see how it goes then. If not, flash custom rom/kernel, tweak cpu and search for wakelocks. If the problem is still present, get a new battery.

1% / 3mins sounds like 5 hours on battery to me. Reasonable, but not great.
Depends if you have your screen on during that time or not, and what brightness, and what tasks it is doing. If that is screen off at all, then it's horrible. If full brightness screen-on for the whole time, then it's ok.

Yep. If you go to Battery, is your phone intensivly active while screen is off?
My Battery atm: 1d 3h 14m with 53m screen on time at 87%, but pretty much all day on wlan.

If your phone is the international version, you have the option to buy a new battery And swap it out. I would try this since batteries are pretty cheap at the moment.
If it still drains after all these things only then do I recommend you return the phone for a new one

Culd be som app running that is draining it.
Install a battery monitor. Like gsam then u can see what's drainimg the battery.
Try delete google+. Giving a lot wakelocks. If u are rooted install wakelock detector and let it run 2 or 3 hours and see if its under 20%

I would suggest to stop draining processes first. If stopping it doesn't cause any problems i would rather freeze than delet it.
But if it's caused by a ****ty app you downloaded, delete it right away.
if none works, get warranty
My moto G4 has had some issues with battery lately on custom rom with and without root aswell as on marshmallow and nougat with and without root. is this the battery itself?
My friend bought the same phone on the exact same day as me and his battery lasts way longer.
Also my phone says in the battery settings i only have used 20% while i have used 60%
Any one knows what i can do to fix this?
Sorry for not providing much info i dont know wich files i should show you guys.
It wouldn't hurt to replace your battery. You should be able to get a battery replacement if you send it to a Motorola service center, or buy a new battery online (only $20 I think).
Even though you've rooted Motorola should take your phone.
Finally, would you mind postings screenies of battery graphs?
Edit: $13.99 for replacement battery, iFixit has a good battery guide: http://www.witrigs.com/oem-battery-for-motorola-moto-g4-plus

Sorry lost all screenshots because i just factory wiped my phone i have noticed in safe mode my phone's battery lasts as long as it should.
But after just factory wiping it it still drains (not one single app installed) could this be due to poor signal?

Hmm... do you have location/bluetooth/wifi on all the time? How bad is your signal (poor signal will quickly drain your battery)?
Is your bootloader unlocked? If so, please root and install "Wakelock Detector", and see which apps are holding your phone awake.

I really don't know how to go with this- I don't understand how safe mode fixed the issue. How bad is the drain? (how much % p/hour standby, with screen off?)
You said you've used custom ROMs and root. Please root and install Wakelock Detector.
Also, yes, poor signal will result in drain, but for me it may drain 1% every 20-30 minutes. I don't know how bad it is with you.

That sounds pretty normal with WiFi and bad signal. On average I get 6 hours SoT, but I always enable Airplane mode in school (I'm on T-mo, lol), and when I get out signal is always pretty solid.
Also, WiFi, location, and Bluetooth are all disabled unless at home.
With really poor/no signal I might crack 4.5 hours of SoT, but then again I've disabled 4 cores of my CPU and WiFi so there's that.

This might help a little. Look for these lines in your build.prop:
ro.core_ctl_min_cpu=2
ro.core_ctl_max_cpu=4
Change the value of he first line to 1. It's set to run on 2 cores minimum. If the lines aren't there, try adding at least the first set to 1.
Edit: it actually sounds like you may have a battery problem or another problem with your device. Might want to try to get it replaced.
10hrs of standby take ~ 5%. I can go for 3-4 days without charging. Recharging is super fast and I'm only running Greenify with few extended features.
Not RR or LOS gave me this kind of performance...
P.s. from the moment I bought the phone, I installed magisk module Magic Charging Switch, it stops power intake at 90% until it's I think 80%. Uses some scientifically proven methods to extend battery life
I have a guy in one of our forums who managed this.
5% battery draining in 10 hours standby time is too high. On custom ROMs such as AEX, RR, AOSIP, it's only 1% or hardly 2% in 10-12 hours of standby time.
I an 100% stock, no root, no greenify, no magisk etc.
I easily get 4 days standby if the phone only has little OST, this of course reduces the more I use it but easily 2 days with lots of use.
Right now its showing 75%, low usage:
Last full charge 22hrs 39min
2Days 20hrs left
33m OST
I'm not sure July helped as I was getting similar ish before.

Aex + stock kernal + magsik
Likely unrelated to the ROM (hadesRom 6.0), but my S8 has been having weird battery issues as in almost instantly draining once reaching ~30-40% battery and just shutting off. Up until the point battery drain is normal if not better than it has been before, but this is still a major issue.
Any ideas/help?

Mine also. Once it reached below 30%, it will suddenly drop to 10% even on idle. It's been more than a year since i got this phone, and i just recently rooted it and install a new custom ROM. is it because of the battery itself? degrading?
Good day.
A friend of mine had an similar problem and solved it by disabling the system app called "ARCore". It's an google augmented reality plataform app. Try disabing or update the app.

Maybe it's also just an error with battery percentage display, but battery performance seems pretty poor then.
I'll try disabling/freezing ARCore and see if this changes anything ^^

This is very common sign when battery is going bad when u start to have these drops . Logically battery should be replaced .
