I just been given a Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T536, think it may be Korean model. My question is what roms are compatible?
when i boot to recovery it shows samsung/matisse10wifikx/matisse10wifikx6.0.1/MMB29K/T536KXu1AQF1
how do you root?
It also came with a knox profile but it loads korean software. I want to disable or remove Knox.
This is my first samsung device, I have installed roms on my other devices but a noob with samsung and dont want to brick it.
any links you recommend for noob ?
Hello, I am a person with Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T536 living in Korea.
The Galaxy Tab 4 SM-T536 is a Korean model. The tablet has no custom ROM developed. Security updates from Samsung
Even though it's 2022, it continues to do so, but the Android version doesn't update it. So, when I tried to install a custom ROM, I found that the model does not have a custom ROM that can be installed, and even if there is, there is no TWRP Recovery required to install it.
So it must be considered impossible.
That doesn't mean you shouldn't use custom ROMs from SM-T536 and similar SM-T530.
SM-T530 and SM-T536 may be bricks due to different hardware

Hello!
As you know samsung currently at least here in America
Samsung sells only the S4 in i9515L version currently containing the same hardware version i9500 differences in kernel and network frequencies.
to try to install a custom rom from the i9500 when I finish the touch does not work just that and the networks do not work, recovery and root function normally using the versions of the i9500.
and seeking out internet have no Custom ROM for our beloved i9515l
Me and the users of i9515l would like to ask our support device that should receive 1 or 2 updates the hands of Samsung and then forgotten.
Sorry my bad Inglish.
Indeed, my girlfriend has one of these and I also searched with no success for ROMs and Kernels.
Since it is a "new" model, the attention and support still very low/poor, lets hope that some dev port the i9500 ROMs and Kernels to it.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S5 Metro Pcs (sm-g900t1) and i cant seem to find any custom roms that support this model , i heard from somewhere on this site that i can use the Tmobile custom roms (sm-g900t) since my phone is just rebranded , well i wanted to know if that was true. can i just do that ? or do i need to flash the firmware and change it to sm-g900t ? any help will be thankful.
As long as g900t1 and g900t have the same hardware internally, you should be good with using g900t ROMs
I am considering purchasing a Galaxy Grand Prime and the most likely model that I would purchase would be the SM-G530p or SM-G530t. While doing my research on this platform before purchasing I cannot help but notice that the majority of development and ROM releases overwhelmingly support the SM-G530h or SM-G531h.
What exactly is required to get an "H" ROM working on a "T" or "P" model? I am not exactly a noob when it comes to building android ROMs (I am a dev on androidforums.com and very active on freaktab) so your reply doesn't have to be too dumbed down. I am just unfamiliar with this platform. I have a sprint galaxy s4 (SPH-L720), however it seems like the ROM support is better for the various S4 than the various Grand Primes and this hasn't been an issue so far with my s4.
Would it not be possible to take any Grand Prime ROM (ex: an S7 ROM based on 5.1.1 ported for G530H), replace the kernel and supporting files with the 5.1.1 kernel including root for the G530P, flash it to the device, and have a functional ROM?
In general when flashing a custom ROM we won't be flashing the modem or radio partitions, correct? So as long as the android userland version matches the android version that the kernel is built for, and that kernel supports the installed baseband/radio/modem then won't this result in a functioning ROM?
Please let me know if I am incorrect, and if so where is the flaw in my logic!
Cheers and Thanks!!!
thats what i want to know also we need to gather a team and work on the G530P
too many persons buying this phone and being unable to use it globally there must be a way to change the modem or baseband to enable gsm or global features as the other variants of the grand prime series g530/t/h/t1 and others....there must be a way to somehow extract data from each and compile a greate baseband for the g530 to enable call and sms features and ussd features as well cause im sure the g530p is no different from g530t or the other variants in this series as they all have the same msm8916 qualcomm modem but the features are either locked to cdma or gsm/umts
CODERS OUT THERE PLEASE HELP WE NEED YOU!!!!
SUPERCODERS WE NEED YOU ASAP PLEASE HERE US OUT:crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:
Unfortunately, I think, you can't do anything.
You can't install an 530H or 531H ok 530T
To make a 530h ROM fonction on any other model is insanely hard.
I've tried it personally, and everytime I failed.
ok i have samsung Galaxy s5 boost mobile at 6.0 or something, what i wanted to root it but it will not work i wanted to use odin (i know how to use it)to flash the most recent stock rom etc that will then allow me to root and have the root stable can some one help me.i cannot seem to find a rom for it.i have done this successfully on my sprint samsug galaxy s5 with only slight stability issues.
Samsung galaxy s5 boost mobile
model number is SM-G900P
Hardware G900P.04
software G900PVPS3CQD1
android version 6.0.1
device status original
So you want to revert to stock your already rooted device? Then install root again?
Could you provide the PDA code?
I have this same phone and I want to do the same thing. I'm not sure what the PDA code is but the build number is: MMB29M.G900PvPS3CPK1_Deodexed
Why J500FN ROMs don't allow installation on J500F devices? This wasn't a problem on other phones like the S4 Mini / S4 Mini DUOS or S6 / S6 Edge. Their ROMs are fully compatible between them. Why can't a J500F kernel be installed on top right after, like how it was done on the S4 Mini or S6?
It appears to me that the biggest difference might be the baseband. The kernel and everything else is likely similar. Still, because of the risk of rendering your phone inoperable, I do not advise flashing firmware intended for another device. If you flash the wrong bootloader and/or baseband, it could permanently brick your phone.
