Hi, does it have an oleophobic coated screen? From videos on youtube it seems it collects fingerprints like hell so probably it is just a pure glass on front?
No, why the hell should it have such a coating?
omg, maybe better you do some reading before you post such a useless post which makes you look so dumb
Mine has very good oleophobic coating. But I have seen some reports from people with fingerprint magnets as well. Maybe different batches?
Mine has very well oleophobic coating, even in the back, back in the day when i had an S6 (crystal back) it was crazy dirty right when you hold it.

I bought it from a local reseller in Mexico, haha.
But I'm sure they got them directly from AliExpress or something like that.

Got it from aliexpress. Seller had labelled package as $28 value, so no taxes this time at least

Hi guys
Well i thought the gorilla glass would have been ok, but i was wrong. Dropped my phone bounced off my foot then hit the floor, not hard, but hard enough and in the right spot to crack the glass all the way across the screen. So im wondering where i can purchase replacement glass for my Vibrant? Any help would be awesome. thanks!
EDIT: just to be clear here, only the glass cracked, not the physical AMOLED screen
get this first - http://www.daydeal.com/product.php?productid=46716&cat=5085

I Need a new screen to, I bout this phone with a cracked screen for only 140
Were do I get a replacement from?
Sent from my SGH-T959 using XDA App
There are 2 places I have found that have
Globaldirect.com-- this is in the USA
Alibaba.com-- This site is a site where there are many vendors, it is safe to buy from here but it is in Hong Kong
ONE IMPORTANT POINT, some people on Ebay and other places claim they are selling you OEM, but often it is an LCD screen it works fine but not as good as amoled..... just keep that in mind........
The last one i bought was 85.00 with shipping but that was a while ago so i do not know what prices are right now.
Hope that helps if so say thanks

That's what I did.... it was $90 when I got mine, now it's $150. Dunno why.
I currently have an S6 and want to switch to the 6P. I thought I could handle TouchWiz, but I was wrong.
1. I want to buy from GetHuawei to avoid taxes, but I know shipping was taking forever with them. Is this still a problem? Should I just go through Google and pay the extra $40 in taxes?
2. I have a Spigen Rugged Armor on my S6 and I love it. However, I read the Spigen Rugged Armor for 6P was denting the metal? This was just a response on reddit, but is anybody else experiencing this?
3. Should I get the IntelliArmor tempered glass that works with cases if I get the Spigen Rugged Armor? Or are there better screen protectors out there?
4. Where should I sell my S6 to get the most money? I see them going for around $350 on Swappa, but would eBay or Craigslist maybe yield better results?
Thank you!
Maybe try www.gazelle.com to see what they will give you for it. If not then Craigslist or Ebay will allow you to set what you want and see what takers you get and adjust as required.
I bought mine from Google and got it pretty fast. As far as selling your S6 I would personally go with EBay. I've sold numerous phones there so I could upgrade and I've always got my money back out of them or fairly close. I'm not sure about the screen protectors. I've read that a lot of people are having issues with them. I normally buy one but so far this is the first device that I haven't. So far so good and it had been dropped a few times.

Buy from Google and get Nexus Protect or make sure you buy Square Trade.
Getting a broken phone fixed without either will be almost impossible.

1. I'd just but through Google.
2. I have the Spigen Rugged Armor case and haven't had any issues at all.
3. This is really a matter of opinion. You'll find a thread discussing TGSP's in the Accessories section.
4. EBay has the most exposure, probably the best place to sell.

I probably will buy through Google, even though it'll cost $40 more. At least I'll have Google support and shipping speed! I have never sold on eBay before, are there many risks for the sellers? Thank you!

Why will it be impossible? I did not plan on getting Nexus Protect because I have never broken my phone, but I would like to have the option of repair in case something did happen.

There are some risks involved, if you encounter someone dodgy. But I wouldn't think they would be any more likely than if you sold anywhere else. Swappa is great in the sense that it's selling specific items, and therefore attracts a specific audience.
Even before this, i have made a thread where i confirmed this bend problem, but now ill make this, as we got more official proof.
Xperia Z5 Premium has a serious bending issue, it bends like ... I dont even know! It can EASILY BEND IN YOUR DANG POCKETS! So watch out, carry it in a bag or something? Hhhmmm i dont, but it sounds better than carrying the bending thing in our pockets. But im still after this carrying it in my front pocket, because i dont do anything, jump or run or anything with it in the pocket.
>>>> https://youtu.be/gVPa8sNY1Xw <<<< (Might be painful to watch)
IT WON'T BEND BADLY IF YOU DONT RUN, JUMP OR DO ANYTHING WHAT MAKES IT UNDER ANY PRESSURE! ( the problem here seems to be that you really dont need alot of pressure to bend it!!! ). Ive been seeing that climbing stairs is too much for the phone, it can bend from even that. (mine did, slightly bended). Mine is also silghtly bended from the middle. (the other way, its bending in to the shape of a pipe)
As we are mostly happy owners of this device, we need to work together to find solutions!! As i dont have a case, i have no idea will it stop the bending.
>Case owners comment below for their experience!<
>All case owners reply and comment their case and opinion and whatever you want<
>THIS THREAD WAS MADE TO INFORMATE PEOPLE WHO ARE ABOUT TO BUY THE DEVICE AND OFC THE OWNERS OF THIS DEVICE. IN THE ANSWERS WE ARE TRYING TO FIX THE PROBLEM! NOT TO MAKE NO ONE BUY IT!<

I took my Z5 premium for 4 2-3 days snowboard trips and it's in my arm pocket of snowboard jacket, I took alot of falls and rolls and phone is fine... If someone bends the phone on purpose for sure it will bend... Which phone will not bend if you bend it with force??? I was using a clear case and it looks horrible with scratches and finger prints so I took it out from the case. Come on guys if you are afraid of scratching damaging it, only solution is DO NOT USE...

You've got to have quite a ham for a head to bend your phone
I'm using one of those devilcase's since the very beginning (actually, I ordered the case way before I ordered the phone) and I'm very happy with it. It fits like a second skin on the phone (a second skin, just a few mm thick aluminium) and it makes pretty sure nothing will happen to the phone (for front and back I use hardened glass protection)
I would recommend it everybody, though I bought it just for the looks
lol

This is beyond ridiculous lol. If you bend a phone hard enough, yes they will bend. Some will bend more than others. But I highly doubt you're going to put it in your front pocket sit down and get up to a bent phone. If so you might need to lay off the skinny jeans. Even in the video the guy looked like he was struggling to bend it. I'd say this is a non-issue.
Big yawn. Oh my gd, I bent my phone and now it's bent.
The majority of the people that bought this device is probably extremely rich and will probably get a new one just like that. I was lucky enough to get it for $470 and will probably cry if it broke or bent.

Maybe haha, in my country the device costs 2 salaries of work .. but i make the difference if i buy it in usa where there costs 1 salary for me, in fact really its expensive but if someone can save money, no doubt, can buy it
Buying tempered glass protector front and back, without trying to bend it then you are safe, that's the idea..

Wow, that's insane. A phone that costs one salary at best. You're right, if you save money for a purchase I guess everyone can afford, but I would never spend that budget of my salary on a phone. I guess it's up to your interest in that category to spend that budget. If you like the device, it becomes an investment, so there's nothing wrong in it.
SO I have been going without a case for months. Then one of my women is like your going to crack your screen not having a case
Anyways 10 mins later I drop my phone on its back. The backglass is shattered.
Can i easily replace this myself or should I replace the whole phone. I do have insurance

Replacement part is about $30. Not too hard to replace with some finesse, I swapped one out on a s6 edge, last summer.

I dunno dude, would totally depend on the adhesive used. You could always just sell it as is for repair/ blacklisted and get a replacement.

Give Samsung a call and see if you have them replace it, what it would do to your IP68 rating. If they say that there will be no changes then I would ask how much they would charge.

Get one with proper adhesives all around and make sure the adhesives are waterproof. I do this for a living, its like a 30 second repair, as long as its a good adhesive or you dont mind putting a thin layer of glue on the edges before you clamp it down to keep it waterproof.

That's pretty good - it's $270 if you crack the front . I know three other people who own the S7e, and we have all cracked our phones either on the front or the back. It's not very durable, unfortunately. Having a case is a definite yes for this phone.
This item is being sold illegally whitestone will be taking legal action against the factory. They hold a patent on this UV glue kit.

Well, I am interested but will they ship 10 packages to ten different locations? Or you will ship them once you get them? If you will do it than obviously the shipping cost above the product price, I am in UAE so I don't know how much will it cost to ship this from your country.

Very interesting, probably made in the same factory. Only crappy thing about ordering stuff from alibaba is sometimes the shipping is on a very very slow boat from China

Yes defo interested. Even this is cheaper than Whitedome. https://www.aliexpress.com/item/For...rotector-with-Install-Kit-UV/32848566938.html
Been in contact with the seller, whitestone can't sue them one bit lol... they are not selling in US or through a US resell channel. Their glue is also "patented" so I will see how good it is after I get my first one.
Did you order yet? I am interested as well. I am in NY.
There are other sellers on alibaba which are selling the same thing, I have asked a few of them if they can ship 1 or 2 items instead of 10 as samples or something, lets see if this will work or not.
Purchased and received my dome protector today, just installed it with no problems. Im a First time user and I'm surprised how easy it went. I carnt see how they justify the price tho. And surely they could at least sell just the glass and liquid for a good price as a replacement kit is still expensive.

Whitestone has sold it for so much because no one else has had it - with the knock off coming out of china now, well, Whitetone may have to come down in price to remain competitive - I guess it all depends on the quality of the new one - and whether Whitestone does have a claim for patent infringement and even if they do if they can really do anything about it. They wouldn't be the first ones to have their product ripped off and sold cheap out of China - happens all the time - Personally, I won't buy products like that. Just on Principle. (look at the ad on Alibaba from the link that was posted - it looks exactly like the Whitestone Dome Glass.
