Hello! I'm wondering if there is any way to change the colour of the dark mode since I don't like it when it's pitch black. I would like to change it to a dark grey like google. I also have rooted my device if it helps ?
Using Substratum themes is your solution.

When you select white writing on black background (dark colour scheme) why does the email Tile still appear as black writing on White background?
Especially at night all the screns are dark and then when you slide over to emails the whole room lights up!
Is there a way to reverse this? The latest Mango updates also seem to have this.
I agree! This bothers me aswell. Hopefully someone knows of a fix.

Bumping this one.
Dark theme is dark them, and it should reflect in the mail client awell.
Anyone found a fix ?
I know that its transparent when using a samsung wallpaper, but when using a custom wallpaper the status bar is a kinda red colour not black. Is everyone having this? Cant find a setting anywhere
did you tried the thing called "search"?
the search isn't working. So I went through the first 20 pages of the forum to see manually. Still nothing.
Is it possible you could tell me?
The transparent feature is only available on stock wallpapers at the moment. When using a custom wallpaper it turns to a very dark grey.
Some solutions have been proposed in this thread.
Hi all.
Is there any white theme for nexus 7?
I mean white or light backgroung everywhere - in menus, in settings, status bar etc, where we have black in standard theme.

You'll need a ROM with theme chooser.
Here's another

Try using a different launcher. I use NEXT Launcher, which has several white themes such as "ice" and "syder"
Does anyone know if there is a black version of the stock s8 theme available in the theme store? I can't find one but I find it hard to search
bumb
For me Material Black theme is almost same as a stock black theme. Change icons and you have stock black theme.
I downloaded Metal Black which is a decent theme.

Did you manage to have the bottom navigation bar, Black'?
Mine turned white after the last upadate when they introduced the dot on the bar. I cannot find a way to make it black again. Built in settings doesn't give black as an option!
sarbashrestha - On the theme I downloaded, if you go into the Nav Bar settings and click Apply Current Theme under it will make it dark. Mine is a sort of transparent black.

I'm using Renovate Ice 3.0 and there is an option to make navigation of any color you want.
In other roms I've tested, I'm having the same problem as you with the last update AQF7.
Ok, so we have 2 g950f's one in midnight black, one in orchid grey. Both updated to the latest firmware both unlocked with fresh installs on but both showing different themes etc.
Is there any way to force the grey to think it's the black model to enable the default black theme with black status bar etc.. like is it csc dependant or a setting when the phone is setting itself up that forces it to install a set colour theme etc..
The black phone we have looks so much nicer when using it than the grey does.
Cheers for any help or advice anyone could shed..
I've searched Google but not really had any look other than 3rd party themes, which I wanted to try stay away from if I could help it.
