using skype but no mic with headphones

I use skype a lot and with my xv6700 i would just plug headphones in to hear so there was no echo on the other end.....
I got a adapter for the xv6800 and i can hear fine but the mic will not work but if i unplug the headphones the mic works but have to put up with the echo from the external speaker....
Im sure this as been a known problem so is there a fix or do only headsets with mics work for the xv6800 and skype?

microphone making echo

When I speak to ppl on HD speaker, they hear a little echo of themselves. Much worse is in car, where I plug HD 3.5mm to car radio and talk thru HD microphone and listen thru car speakers.
Can this somehow be solved?
have you tried playing with the Microphone AGC settings in start>settings>system.
Whatever it is on, set it to the other one and see if that helps.

Anyone else having issues with non oem headphones and crackling/static sound?

As above when using my soundmagic e10 In ear headphones with phone they crackle when listening to music at higher volumes however when over bluetooth using hs3000 it doesn't crackle and when using standard oem headphones on phone it doesn't crackle although the e10 go's much louder and a lot more bass. The e10 don't do this on other sources such as Samsung galaxy s i9100 or laptop.
I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing similar with same or different headphones.

Loud background noise for recipient when using headset?

This is my first OnePlus phone, and for the price, I'm mostly satisfied. One issue I have is that when I call people using a wired or wireless headset, they complain that the background noise is too loud especially the music that plays at grocery stores. This doesn't happen if I'm connected to my car or using speakerphone. I searched and it seems like this was an issue in the OP5 which had a "Noise Cancellation" setting but I can't find that in the 6T.
Has anyone experienced this? And if not, what brand/model headset are you using? I'm having issues with Skullcandy - Method Wireless and Skullcandy - Ink'd 2.
