few months ago, i was able to download lineageos 15.1 image for sumire from lineageos official download page and had no problem using it until now (i flashed it successfully and even root'ed it). my device is still operational and functional.
i wanted to check if lineageos 16 was released to sumire, but i found out the the development has stopped and the official download page does not list sony z5 anymore (you can see that even though it appears on the lineage downloader logs, the download folder is empty).
i even tried to build sumire, but i see that the source code is only for lineageos 14.1 (sadly i couldn't find on my filesystem the 15.1 image, but i did find the 14.1 image and sharing it with you).
i wasn't able to build 15.1, this is why i am here. if i had built it, i would've share it
can anyone please share a link for lineage 15.1 official image? (or any complete, up to date, working rom as an alternative. i see mokee is available, but never tried it)

I was just able to build Lineage 14.1 for serranoltexx and wanted to share the results:
The how to is on my tumblr: lopuki.tumblr.com
Most importantly the ROM (2017-03-13) can be found there too, I cannot link it directly, because I did not make enough meaningful posts yet.

Glad to see some people are still working on serranoltexx !
I am currently on CM12.1, because it is the last version that I know of which supports s-view flip covers.
Does LineageOS also support it ? Usually turning on/off screen with the cover works, but nothing is displayed in the S-View window.
I checked the gerrit and found some old comits related to this, but I am not sure whether they are included in LOS 14 or not.
Hi,
I use (official) LinageOS 14.1 in my athene and wonder if there will be ever an official Lineage OS 15.1. In https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/oreo-roms-table-t3717226 I see some activity on several ROMs but non of them seems to be what could be LinageOS 15.1.
Are there plans to get one of the ROMs ready to be official LinageOS 15.1?
Do the creators of these ROMs work together or does everybody tries to solve the same problems again and again?
Are the "LineageOS Device Support Requirements" (https://github.com/LineageOS/charter/blob/master/device-support-requirements.md) to difficult to achieve? If yes what are the exact problems?
Unless blobs for Oreo are out which can be ported to athene it'll be problematic. Lineage 15.1 needs came proper camera working along with twrp and so on as of now without proper blobs those are impossible.
Also, I recall that most Oreo based custom ROMs appear to have permissive SELinux (relaxed permissions about what apps can access from the system). That's not permitted by the LineageOS Device Support Requirements which require devices to be running enforcing SELinux. I'm not sure if custom Oreo ROMs are yet booting with a working enforcing SELinux.
I am in Canada and I just got my Le 2 x526 phone
I want to flash a custom rom and I narrowed it down to these two.
Which one should I pick ?
LineageOs 15.1 or AospExt 8.1
Just flashed LineAgeOS 15.1 and I found out that it wont let me install netflix normally from play store. Device is not certified.
is AOSP Extended have the device certified fix ?
In the official Lineage OS download website there is no more S3 ROMs but I need it... :/ Can someone help?
S3 is no longer officially supported by Lineage OS
You should try the unofficial builds. They are stable and have the latest security patches :good:
LOS 14.1 Unofficial [NZedPred]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80066060&postcount=5498 (August 2019)
My post will be outdated, so just search for the latest versions, on the profile of the creator: https://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=457449880
LOS 14.1 Unofficial Experimental [orgert]
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=80073598&postcount=265 (August 2019)
Same as above, for the latest versions, go to the orgert profile: https://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=457449886
They're both recommended. I was using @NZedPred build for months, they worked perfectly for me. Now I'm testing @orgert experimental builds, and they're also very good.
In both cases, not a single freeze, reboot, error etc., everything works great. Unofficial LOS 14.1 builds are the best choice for Galaxy S3, in my humble opinion.
Experimental version have partial HWC (which in theory could provide better performance and battery consumption, but I don't feel any difference).
If for some reason you need the old (February 2019), last official version, here it is:

Thank you very much!
Looking for link to Lineage 17.1 because I need hands free calling via bluetooth. Unless it has been fixed in new Android 11 ROM's
