I was looking to replace my old and battered G5 and I saw a V35 for a good price, now the question is if that version (V350A) has the same LTE bands than the V350U as shown in gsm Arena [LTE band 1(2100), 2(1900), 3(1800), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 7(2600), 8(900), 12(700), 13(700), 14(700), 17(700), 20(800), 25(1900), 26(850), 28(700), 29(700), 30(2300), 38(2600), 39(1900), 40(2300), 41(2500), 66(1700/2100)]
Basically I am looking for a phone that works in LTE bands 4, 7, 13, 41 and 66. Will the version advertised work?

The V350AWM is an AT&T model and V350ULM is an unlocked version that works with any carrier.

Att software and locked or unlocked if it's unlocked you can go to any GSM carrier but if it's locked you have to use it on AT&t. Or get it unlocked..

But on eBay the AT&T model is sold by dealers as "unlocked". If it is unlocked (by some code), are the bands then the same across the two models?

If it's unlocked on eBay, then the hardware is the same and the bands supported are the same.

Yes it will work on AT&T SIM unlocked out of the box.
Bands are SIM specific and are enabled automatically from xml stored in OP. Initial AT&T releases had missing B71 but it was added in Feb this year.
AT&T stock OP holds all of your needed bands, but if you want to be 100% safe and you are not an AT&T customer, you can always cross flash to U variant of US Open.

Bestbuy sells the international version of this phone and I am going to buy it unlocked. But before I do, I had a couple questions.
1. Does this support AT&T band 30? I tried to find the info but I cant seem to locate it
2. This is rootable and bootloader unlocked?
3. Do I need to do anything special as far as region unlocking since it is the international version?

I can't say anything regarding the band 30, region unlocking or AT&T, but I have the 935F edition unlocked and rooted with an custom ROM (Renovate EDGE 1.0) and it works perfect :good: .
But I'm from Germany, I don't now if there are some differences.

Doesnt look like 30 is on there... crap. Maybe its not their 700mhz, but a different band. Regardless they are rolling it out now so would be nice to see that band compatibility.
Band 30 is 2.3ghz, my fault.

I got it from B&H instead.
How will i go about updating this phone? Will it receive updates from Samsung, or do I have to manually install them? Being that it isn't an AT&T phone etc.

Hello XDA community! I am hoping that you can either help solve my problem, or tell me that it is unsolvable.
Recently I purchased this phone:
Galaxy S5
Model: SM-G900F
Baseband: G900FXXU1CPH1
Kernel: 3.4.0-8193525
Android Version: 6.0.1
Now, it was region locked in Germany since it was factory reset upon purchase. I made the 5 minute call and got this all sorted out.
However, when I insert my microSIM from T-Mobile USA, it seems I cannot connect to a network here in Germany though it lists 4. I know this is possible itself because I have been doing it for 2 years with a different phone purchased in the USA. It should be noted that this microSIM I'm now attempting to use with the S5 has not been activated itself yet because I was using the older larger sim in a Samsung Galaxy Blaze 4G until now.
I've read through many forums and tried to wrap my head around if I simply purchased the wrong phone that will not work at all with the T-mobile USA network, though the specs make me think otherwise (listed below), at least at 2g (which is mostly what I get anyway when abroad with T-mobile's anywhere free data deal), or if I need to activate the microSIM in another way, or if I can load a new baseband. This is why I'm reaching out to you all and hoping someone has some great information.
I'd also like to know if I will have trouble then using this phone when I return to the USA, and also if it will work in Australia.

Your phone should support 3 and 5 LTE Band. Only EU version supports LTE 40 Band unfortunately.

Hello, quick question. What model of the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Plus works best on T-Mobile as far as coverage when UNLOCKED? An UNLOCKED SM-G928T or an UNLOCKED SM-G928A? I'm sure it would seem obvious that the SM-G928T would be best since it's a T-Mobile-branded phone, but check out these Network Specs for each phone:

The AT&T variant has ALL of the bands that T-Mobile uses (2, 4 & 12) PLUS the bands that AT&T uses (2, 4, 5, 12 & 17). Is this theory correct, or no? Just asking.

Yeah, unfortunately I have to pick out of the two. It looks like the international variant, SM-G928G, doesn't have a reasonably-priced 64GB edition and not worth paying for at the moment.
