Can someone tell me the firmware version of Android Oreo on AT&T?
Can anyone tell me if this is the correct stock settings for AT&T?
From the AT&t site it shows that the software version is from July 2018 but your security patch is newer from February see the screenshot

So, someone from AT&T FINALLY contacted me about my issue, and they informed me that the reason why Im not receiving the Nougat update is because I don't have the latest security patch. For some reason my Edge is still on the November patch. They suggested I go to Best Buy and have them flash the newest patch for 6.0.1, then I should be able to receive the update.
My schedule is rather hectic, so I'd much rather flash it myself at home. Can anyone please direct me to where I could find the most recent security patch so I can flash it in Odin?
First, you are in the wrong section. Please head over there: AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Guides, News, & Discussion.
Second, I think there's no newer Marshmallow release available. Anyways this may help you:
Marshmallow build
Nougat build
I just purchased a new S7 (SM-G930A) and it currently has Android 7.0 and Android security patch April1, 2017. The phone is telling me that there is an update. Is Oreo available for the ATT S7 or is this just a security update ?
Thanks

There is no official OREO update for the SM-G930A model just yet... the official release date is TBD. You can download the leaked unofficial version though in a different section of this forum. The latest security patch is most likely what your available update is slated for.

The last official update I'm aware of is BRA1. Jan 1, 2018. You should have a few between what you're at and the latest.
I got a OTA to BRC1 last night.
Can anyone tell me what the most current version in for my US Factory unlocked US996 is? Thanks for your help
Officially just 10n which iirc has the November 2017 security patch. Unofficially it can also use the us Cellular us996 firmware (through flashable zip,, or lgup with kdz) which is on the February 2018 security patch. Or if you want to absolutely abandon stock and get further into rooting and roms based you could run LineageOS which is on the March security patch but the second screen doesn't work and neither does HiFi mode.

Thanks Phoenix, I flashed 10N, build # NRD90M with Nov 6th security patch some months ago right after getting the phone. This must be US Cellular firmware and I didn't know it of course. Not carrying the phone around these days but I do still like it and use it as my music player. When (if) Oreo is ever released I'll start using it more again. I have hope... for LG to not upgrade a flagship device at least once is unimaginable (I think, lol). Thanks again
I have a question to the experts of the change of firmware between regions ...
my G6 (H870DS) was originally an IRN (IRAN) with software version
H870DS10s_00_OPEN_AME_DS_OP_0112.kdz with security patch May 2018.
using the procedure described in my guide, I flashed the firmware
H870DS20b_00_OPEN_HK_DS_OP_0713.kdz, with which the patch was updated in July 2018, while the software version instead of HGK became DS2 (V20b-DS2-YT).
Flashing then the latest firmware for TAIWAN ( H870DS10e_00_OPEN_TW_DS_OP_0724.kdz) it has updated the security patch in August 2018, while the software version has become the V20c-DS2-YT, where it maintains the DS2 region unchanged.
So I'm starting to think that the problem is making LGUP work by upgrading the firmware, but it does not allow me to install the new firmware in refurbish mode.
Does anyone know how I need to activate the refurbish voice instead of the upgrade one?
can this be the solution to my question?

would anyone know how to adapt it to G6 h870s / h870ds?
Hi.
I have a G955U Galaxy S8+ AT&T Factory Unlocked on Android 7.0
Baseband Version: G955USQU1AQC9
Android Security Patch Level - April 1, 2017
I no longer live in the US, and currently in the Philippines. Phone works great and the signal is too and all, but I cannot get OTA updates. Every time i try to update it says that its up to date.
I have tried different ways to update it that i read online, The latest one that I have tried is following the steps given from this Thread https://forum.xda-developers.com/att-galaxy-s8+/how-to/sprint-released-oreo-s8-s8-flashing-t3915872 but it gave me this output https://prnt.sc/oqjnp6
My phone is not rooted or anything just a normal phone. I am just trying to update it to the latest Android Version 9.0(Pie) , I just made this thread for the reason of maybe someone can help me on updating my phone.
Where you able to update it? Or are you still having issues?
